Hi girls and thank you for all your lovely messages! I appreciate it. Alfiesmum and Beks - thank you for popping on and GG hope you'll have a great time away.

Have finally stopped nesting - enough is enough i think and my mum has been kind enough to finish off the jobs i started but have no motivation to now finish. DH has taken mum's DH out this afternoon so a quiet time playing with Z and watching a movie is on the cards.

Hope you all have lovely evenings, we managed a drive [rolls eyes] and i got very emotional crying and then being sick!

Am a bag of nerves [bites nails]

I'll be back! [but then you'll all have some peace...]

feetheart · 15/02/2007 12:31

ChaCha - glad you seem to be taking it easier today.
Not surprised you are a bag of nerves, all very exciting and scary at the same time.
Your surgeon sounded brilliant BTW, involving you and making it 'your' birth as much as possible.

Will be thinking of you lots tomorrow, kiss that baby for all of us when you get the chance

Lots of love and luck from sunny Bedfordshire.

BrownieBells · 15/02/2007 15:52

Just a quickie from me (about to put my feet up with a cup of tea & a cake! and have 5 minutes to myself, before I go and get the tiny terror from nursery!!) Think I have been doing your nesting today Chacha!!! have spring cleaned the kitchen, moved stuff around (always love doing that!) and thrown away all the out of date stuff lurking in the cupboards!!

Chacha - will be thinking of you loads tomorrow, and am thrilled for you - can't wait to find out if it's pink or blue!!

Off to London tomorrow for a friends hen day (organised by moi & another girl) a trip to Lonodn, for a spot of shopping?! and lunch and then the matinee performance of MammaMia - should be good - but a v long day!

Right Cup of tea and rest beckons......

Love to all.....

Brownie x

LaylaandSethsmum · 15/02/2007 16:13

Good luck for tomorrow ChaCha be sure to let us know asap...take it easy.xxx

ChaCha · 15/02/2007 18:54

Hello girls,

Feetheart - Thanks for your lovely message. Hope you have a restful weekend after much partying It'll be Tessa's b'day soon, has she any special requests?

BB - Day out sounds fab, hope you enjoy it and treat yourself! Have lots of fun.

L&S - Thank you for your message

Popped to Mothercare for some last minute bits and pieces (had totally forgotten nursing bras and new bottles - hope i manage the b/f but back up in place now just in case) and was standing in queue looking at a 6 day old baby!!! It was tiny!!! OMG - Was DS ever that small? It was a real shock, even DH gulped, lol.
We bought DS a bouncy castle that serves different purposes thinking that would be baby's pressie for him and something to keep him entertained while i'm away. We pumped it up and it is massive, takes up half the lounge - a lovely idea but one i think that is better for the summer months in the back garden. We've got the coloured balls in the pit part at moment but obviously water in there will be great come summer time. It really is big...wondering now if i should have gone with instinct and gotten him the washing machine and brush set (much to DH's disgust) or just keep it up a few days and then put it away until the better weather for outdoors. What do you think? It's just too big!

A good couple of hours Telly Time for me now. No doubt i'll be back before 'bed' (yeah right) for last post xx

GreedyGecko · 15/02/2007 20:14

ChaCha, all the best for tomorrow, will be thinking of you. Good luck xxx

Diege, thanks for the email, have replied just to confirm. Looking forward to meeting you!

Alfiesmum, have a good time at Butlins, one of my friends liked the Shoreline when she stayed there in the summer.

Lots & lots to do tomorrow (really must tidy the house before we go away, should have had you down here last week ChaCha ), and I'll speak to you all in a weeks time xx

novadandypowder · 15/02/2007 22:10

Wishing you all the best for tomorrow Chacha xx

Brownie - I love sorting through the cupboards and getting rid of out of date stuff. I'm amazed sometimes at just how long things have been lurking

Beksmum · 15/02/2007 22:22

Hi ladies, another quick post from me I'm afraid as have just kicked dh off the pc for two minutes.

Chacha can't wait for the announcement, my money's on a blue one, who will be just as gorgeous as his big brother

Nova interesting debate on the schools front, agree with everyone else about going with your gut instinct and making sure you both make the same decision to stop any later "I told you so's" my votes with the local primary by the way Just kidding I reckon sch 1 will be better for Noo to give her a great start, mixing witht he right kind of people if you see what I mean but school 2 will give her a better idea of the world she lives in so I'm not much help I'm afraid.

Feetheart the half term homework was to make a 'junk' animal and Ben chose a rat - I have no idea why, have finished it now but think it looks more like a mole I'm definitely no Tony Hart - god now I'm showing my age!!!

Londoner if you see this in the morning and are going stir crazy, I'm meeting Tex & Bob in the usual place at 11am if you fancy meeting us with E and the rest of your gang

GG hope you have a great week away and enjoy meeting Diege and L&S

Brownie hope you have a great hen weekend.

Right that was supposed to be quick, I'm sure I've missed loads so forgive me, will write a novel some time next week I hope!!! Love to all Beks

Londoner · 15/02/2007 22:45

Good luck ChaCha, will be thinking of you loads. Hooray!

HI all,x

Diege · 15/02/2007 22:56

Evening! Just a quickie before bed to wish CHACHA good luck for tommorrow!!! Gosh this time tommorrow you will be a mum of two .
Well, had just finished packing up the last of my scripts for the parcelforce van, thinking fondly of my new found freedom now I have been 'released' from the AQA police...but just as I was tidying up I stumbled across a huge sack of the (unmarked) buggers, ...just in case I was thinking of relaxing! Thatg's my weekend taken care of .
Have to say, there's no necessary relation between 'good' schools and good marks - had some shockers this year from one of the best independents in GB, and some brill ones from a known 'special measures' comp...(not that this should influence you NOVA ...it does give me a bit of satisfaction as a product of the comprehensive system myself! Right, I'd better stop or I'll get sacked!
Night everyone!

ChaCha · 16/02/2007 04:45

Thank you girls for all the lovely messages and fingers crossed for the safe delivery of DC2 please and my quick recovery.

Love x

Tex111 · 16/02/2007 09:28

Good luck Chacha!! Thinking of you today.

novadandypowder · 16/02/2007 12:47

Just a quickie to say that my Quinny arrived this morning and it's fantastic. Basically looks like someone has had it for a couple of weeks then got narked that the logo's had started to wear off so took it back. So Brownie - I'd say go for it

Rodeo · 16/02/2007 14:41

Afternoon!
My blooming laptop had a bag on yesterday and wouldn't let me post! And I really wanted to send a good luck message to Chacha, never mind! I bet chach No.2 is out now, woohoo!!! I think blue too Beks! Can't wait for announcement
You next Nova! A month to go at the longest! I think Blue for you too BTW, I love the guessing What colour quinny did you get this time, mine's getting a bit rickety I've just about run it into the ground so might check out ebay too
Diege - LOL at your hidden unmarked pile, typical! I'm sure you'll power through them in no time!
Brownie, Alfiesmum & GG - enjoy your day/weekend/week!
Beks, LOL at choosing a rat! I hope you've taken your camera today - we want photographic evidence Have a lovely day! Hope the weather's better down there than it is up here!
Half term passing quickly here, dp's taken B&J and Joe's best friend to the cinema today, I took them to the stables yesterday to help out (yeah right!) and and they were at football camps for the first half of the week. They've all been sound asleep by 7.30 too so I feel like I've hardly seen them!
Off to enjoy the peace now but will pop on later to check for pending announcement

I've created a nice new thread just in case it was the length of this one that stopped me posting yesterday!

Chacha, hope you don't mind but the girls were wondering how you got on so I told them that you had text me and that you were both fine I haven't told them what you've had or what the baby baby weighs

See you on the new thread
