Hi girls,

Twinkle - Thanks, feel better knowing that. I doubt that i'd want anymore than 2 or 3 kids but c-sec's do limit you to 3 don't they? I guess that's at the back of my mind too but whose to say what will happen. My mind is doing overtime these days. How long were you in hospital post the elective sections? Is it the usual 5 days? Thanks.
I will speak to consultant in a fortnight's time and hopefully then have made a decision, am i right that they have to do an elective a couple of weeks before EDD too? That would be like 4 weeks away Must stop thinking...

Diege - I didn't know there were only 16mths between two of your girls - wow! So you've been there and done it, know who to ask all the million questions to now - yippeee, lol! Glad work is improving - don't know how you balance it all, honestly!

It's our first session at tumbletots tomorrow morning am looking fwd to it. Hope i get some sleep, as usual - wide awake and uncomfy. I have terrible 'last year's ante-natal thread' deja-vous....

ChaCha · 11/01/2007 00:05

Duh....i re-read Twinkle - 'in and out in two days'....duh!

twinkle1 · 11/01/2007 08:17

Chacha,
They section you at 38 weeks plus, and you can have as many sections as your body will do!! I have taken ladies to theatre who were on number 4-5 hope this helps

twinkle1 · 11/01/2007 08:19

opps also meant to say you are up and about within around 6 hrs (varies a little between hosps)

All this talk of having babies is making me very impatient!

Have just bought a Phil & Teds from a fellow MNetter, with loads of extras, very excited .

Londoner · 11/01/2007 10:30

Hi girls,

ChaCha, you poor thing, must be really hard. Hope Zed enjoys tumble tots and you get a rest afterwards.
Diege, glad to hear work issues settling down, must be so hard. Am V. excited you're already buying maternity gear btw.
Rodeo, lovely to hear you're riding more again, you must be getting so fit!
GG, love Kylie too- will you be on the tv d'you think?
Beks, poor you on the sleep probs, have posted on your thread.x Must look at your photos - so glad the wedding went so well.
Heard from Beartime and she is well and expecting a new baby end of June, hope she won't mind me saying. So maybe she is our June baby unless there are any more takers?
Hi JenJam and everyone else too!
Wonder how Sarahsausage is doing? Hi.
Bye all!

Londoner · 11/01/2007 10:31

Oh, can we have a link to your new pushchairs please girls? Would like to check out these new wagons so can imagine you, ChaCha & Nova, strolling around with your babies and toddlers.

novadandypowder · 11/01/2007 12:03

Hi Londoner, thanks for the update from Beartime, how lovely that she's pg again . Good reminder about SS - are you out there sweetie, we want updates??? Diege all eyes are on you now , maybe some more of those weekends away .

This is the buggy I've gone for, phil & teds

Londoner · 11/01/2007 13:22

OMG Nova that is amazing! Wow! Love the little carry cocoon thing and the main chair looks really comfy too, bet your lo's will love travelling round in that. Have you got all the accessories?...or is that a silly question.

novadandypowder · 11/01/2007 14:53

I bought everything that she had for sale Londoner, so have just about everything you can get for a phil & teds. Saved me about £200

ChaCha · 11/01/2007 16:26

Hi girls,

Nova - Nice pram and great saving! You must be chuffed with all the accessories - well done I'd like to buy the matching bag and parasol for this one but other than that everything else is okay. Will try posting a link below, I've bought the Jane Power Twin with the car seat for use with newborn until around 6 months and then it'll just go into double buggy type pram - I always liked being able to talk and look at DS when he was in the forward position of the Matrix. Thanks for asking us to share Londoner
Congratulations to Bear!

Twinkle - Thank you for the replies, you've put my mind at ease. I spoke to my m/w this morning and she was happy that i'd made a decision that i felt comfortable with. The emergency section was all a bit traumatic and she made the planned one seem a very organised and calm experience. I just hope now they don't schedule it for MIL's b'day which is the week before my due date (is also mum's DP's b'day!)..

Sorry for lots of baby/pram chat etc..it's just that time for me and i've not really been part of the ante-natal group, just a few posts here and there and not much interaction with anyone so thanks for letting me share this time with you all - it does become quite overpowering with only weeks to go. On a Post-Natal tip though Tumble Tots was lots of fun (quite knackering after only 4 hours broken sleep) but DS loved it and was so excited around all the other kids and organisers - just wish he'd sit with me at sing song time and not go and sit centre stage in the lime light!

Well, as my mum is here am off to enjoy at daytime bath. Talk later x

Rodeo · 11/01/2007 19:15

Evening!
Nova/Chacha - Loving all this new baby talk everyone! So Chacha don't you worry, just carry on Although I am still not broody in the slightest, 3 is definitely my limit. I have wanted to wallop them all today! (well, just a baby wallop for Jess!) BTW, Chacha - Jess was born on my MIL's birthday and she loved it - and I didn't have to buy her a gift And sections were fine - they get a slightly riskier with each one and recovery takes a little longer, although they kick you out quicker the more you have! Think 2 days may be a little optimistic though, mine were all 3-5 days. 3 sections is a guideline, I've had 4 and was pushing it - there was a hole in my uterus along an old scar which was scary but I've finished that chapter of my life now Was talking to a friend today who's in the same position as you actually - she had a 'natural' birth last time but the baby got stuck and they had to break baby's collar bone to get her out (just like on Bodies Diege!) She's waiting on a scan at 37 weeks to decide.....
Diege, glad things have been 'postponed' you might be on mat leave when they decide to sort it out
GG at your 2pm lie-in girl!! Glad you had a good night
Right, off to get the older 2 into bed, Jess has already gone up for a early 6.30 bedtime. It's my first dds birthday anniversary tomorrow so feeling a bit, well not quite sad anymore, hmmmm thoughtful and sentimental. I'm sure it'll be fine though
Speak later x

Diege · 11/01/2007 20:58

Evening . Just wanted to say I'm thinking of you and your family for tommorrow RODEO - must be a sad time of year for you, but hoping you gain strength from your three LOs
Loving all the baby talk too CHACHA and NOVA! I'm sure I speak for us all when I say how exciting it's going to be to hear everything about the pending births, without any of the anxiety for us this time!! . LOVING the pram NOVA, though couldn;' open your link CHACHA!
Right, a late tea calls, then CBB!

Londoner · 11/01/2007 22:05

Wow Nova, how fantastic to have the whole kit!
ChaCha, could not open your link either, try again?please? Glad tumble tots went so well, sounds like Zed had a real treat bet you felt proud when he took centre stage . Hope you have a good night with little disturbances tonight..... please read that correctly Zed and lo....
ChaCha & Nova, we're loving your pg news, bring it on! Can't believe you've been holding out on us girls.... and after the way I witter on about my other lo's all day, don't be daft - chat as much as you like, I'm all ears!
Beks, WOW! Just saw your pics you look fantastic! As do your gorg boys and dh, how did you manage to keep them looking so pristine?
Rodeo, I'm thinking of you and send my heart out to you, can't imagine what you must have had to go through and hope you can maybe do something nice together with your dp/other children in her memory.[hugs]x
Hi Diege!
Hi everyone, right off to bed!

ChaCha · 12/01/2007 09:43

Rodeo - Thinking of you today, hope that the day goes well for you [hugs] Post later and let us know how you are x

Londoner - Am no good at links it seems! Google Jane Power Twin in titanium if you can, thanks. Surprisingly, i felt shy at DS's antics y'day - my mum was beaming and laughing constantly, however, I on the other hand just wanted to sit in peace like the other mums for a few minutes happily clapping and singing. He seemed to think the sing song, clapping, excitement was all for his benefit....'just like his mother was' was the comment i got ... I'm getting shy in my old age.

GarfieldsGirl · 12/01/2007 11:20

Rodeo, thinking of you & your family today hun. Will you 'visit' her today? xx

ChaCha & Nova, keep up with all the baby chatter. I love baby talk, and I love hearin about all the siblings' adventures too.

ChaCha, it sounds like Z really enjoyed TT. Sean's always the one wriggling away trying to go & climb before its time. You'll get to the point where you're the little monkey jumping on the bed, and then realise he's off somewhere else.

I must get up to speed with all these new buggies that are out there. I've seen a couple of those Phil & Teds (wasn't that the 'bogus adventure' film with Keanu Reeves?) buggies, and wondered why there was a child in the basket. Now I understand. I do like the newborn coccoon, looks very cosy.

Londoner - I doubt that it'll be the one I was at, but we were on TV on New Years Day at the football. There were a few times we could be seen quite clearly (including the time I was making sure Owen didn't get hit by the ball, and I was nearly hit myself, how embarrasing would that have been?!).

ChaCha · 12/01/2007 12:43

I'm having a 'home and potter' day today, mum has taken Zed out and am catching up on a few things including hospital bag - the peace and quiet is luvvvvely!!

GG - ROFL at the monkey jumping on the bed Absolute classic, he hee!! What a giggle. Oh and another LOL - wasn't it Bill and Ted....ex-cell-ennnnnt!! (phil and ted indeed...chuckle....)

Right now that i've had a giggle will shuffle down the stairs to washing pile...

novadandypowder · 12/01/2007 19:05

Evening. I've put a few things up on the for sale board, but there are a couple of things no-one is interested in does anyone want them? I don't want anything for them, I was just looking to cover postage on the for sale board, but happy to send them out for my special ladies

monsoon gilet

hat and scarf set

soft cow ring toy

ChaCha · 12/01/2007 20:12

Hi Nova [waving]

I can't believe my mistake The Organic formula that i've been having delivered for DS for the last few months has not been goat's milk!!! How did i manage that? DH just noticed when he was emptying latest delivery box..and to think of the times that we didn't go away or had to travel miles to get the organic goat's milk when all the time i had been giving him cow's milk...I'm in shock - must be the pregnancy brain. Am really surprised that the unexpected transition went the way it did. I want to post on this but do you know if it would be silly to switch to whole goats milk now or should i stick with cows?
What an airhead!!!!!! Must grab some chocolate - stress

Diege · 12/01/2007 21:07

Evening . Well, just reeling from killer corrie, and getting geared up for CBB now . Can you BELIEVE Leo!!! .
CHACHA: I'm sure you'll be fine changing over to cow's milk - probably best that you didn't notice the switch! Are there any health reasons for sticking with goat's? If not, I'd stay with cow's, probably just for convenience etc.
NOVA: I would love to take the hat and scarf set off your hands, but insist on paying you for them Am tempted to buy the cow ring thing too, but will let others go first! You can always really on me to snap up a bargain!
Well Libby had her'jabs' - dh took her, and seems that they gave her her booster, the 'new' one, and the MMR at the same time!!! At least the dreaded MMR has been done now. Remember booking for the single vaccinbes with dd1 (and thgen cancelling)but poor dd3 got it without me even realising! She's also been diagnosed with patches of infected excema on her shoulders ; the dr. who said it was inpertigo had misdiagnosed apparently (as I's thought actually). So more antibiotics and steroid cream .
Right, BB is on!

Beksmum · 13/01/2007 13:28

Hi all

Chacha lol at you and the goats milk you loon! If there's no medical or religious reason for Zed to go back on the goats milk and he's happy on the cow's then I'd just leave him, he changed over without any fuss so why rock the boat imo

Rodeo was thinking of you yesterday, hope you & dh managed to get through the day ok

Nova wish I had a girl, those bits are lovely, won't you use the cow thing for no.2? Or is it really irritating?

We are the house of the lurgy again, Tom and I both have stinking colds - grrr Had both kids in with me at 5am this morning and dh snored blissfully on - that man is definitely going to come to a sticky end if he's not careful

Diege can you let me know if Libby reacts to the 'new' jab as Tom's arm is still really swollen and hot and looks bruised, he had it on Wednesday before we got the cold - he didn't have any reaction withthe earlier jabs so was just a wee bit concerned. Have been reminded abouthe dreaded MMR will book it for when he's about 17mths.

Londoner, thanks they were all (Including dh) dressed at the very last minute, Ben had had a growth spurt since we got the suit fitted so the trousers were to short and I'd put him in Bartt Simpson socks thinking they wouldn't be seen He didn't come home quite so clean though as my friend had laid on a choclate fountain!!!

Have decided that Tom definitely has trouble written through him like a stick of rock - yesterday, he managed to get the lid off a big tub of sudocream and smear it everywhere, he got hold of a box of cheerios earlier in the week and tipped them all over the floor and gave the tv remote a wash by throwing it in the sink with the washig up. Really must child proof the house better, but unlike Ben, Tom seems to know what all the naughty things to do are
Have got him trained though as he now takes any washing up he finds out to the kitchen and pushes it on the side - excellent

Right really should be doing the housework while Tom's asleep and dh and Ben are out, hope you're all having good weenkends Beks

Rodeo · 13/01/2007 16:32

Got a bit of quiet time - B & J are at their new (and considerably cheaper!) Swimming lessons and Jess is having a late nap, oops!
Thanks for all the thoughts for yesterday, feeling much happier now. Glad it's past, think the run up is harder TBH, and I didn't visit - the cemetery is always so cold and uninviting at this time of year. She's in the same cemetery as my gran though and quite close to my gran's last baby and my best friends first baby so I'll go up on a nicer day. I don't really feel the need to go up as often anymore, I was constantly up there in the first year ago but I don't feel that that is where she is now And she does get visited when my mum goes up for my gran and when Jenny goes for her little one so that's quite nice. Yes I'll go when it's nicer
Nova I'll love to buy the gilet off you seeing as Jess is still a dot, the hat and scarf are lovely too Diege, though it's bad enough trying to get Jess to keep her coat on! I'll get a cheque off in the post on Mon
LOL at the Bill & Ted buggy & LOL at Tom's antics Beks, hope you recover from the dreaded colds soon, aw and little Z taking centre stage! Grannies love that kind of thing! Chacha, what were you're reasons for the goat milk thing? Was it because you are allergic? I'd stick with the cow's and see how he goes - chances are he'll be fine
Hope Libby is ok this weekend with her mega load of jabs and excema. Jess got 3 jabs stuck in her last time - although I'm awful, not sure what they were I could tell you if I looked in her red book though
Better go and put the shopping away, my job while they're out, hope the cat hasn't got into the meat! Bye! x

Hello - seems like ages since I've managed to get on and post!
Rodeo - sending lots of love, hugs and thoughts your way - for you and you family - was not aware (I don't think) of the situation, so mega apologies for that one, otherwise would have tried to come on sooner and send some support and thoughts - sorry

Chacha / Nova - am very excited for you both and love hearing all of the pg and beanie stories - like others have said, we get to enjoy the build up and excitement without the rest of it!

Also pleased to hear of BearTimes next bub! Hope she is ok, and that she may come back to usone day?!

Am sure I had loads more to say - but can't think what it was now!?
Nova &GG - gosh not long to go till we get to drool over Wentworth in PB!!!!! for anyone who hasn't seen it, I would recommend it, if not just for a good old oggle at the man!!!!

Right off to start labelling more of T's clothes! (gosh I wish I could sew!!!)

B
xx

novadandypowder · 13/01/2007 20:20

Ah Rodeo - the gilet already had your name on it . Can I ask if you talk to your lo's about the baby? My mother erased everything to do with the son she lost between me and my sister, and I only found out by chance in my teens that he even existed, and I wish she'd been a bit more open about it. Sorry if thats a hard question.

Please, send no money for the stuff I'm sending, I'll get DH to post from work so it won't cost me anything. Just wanted to pass them on as they were lovely things.

Diege - I'm sending you the cow as well, as you expressed an interest. It's really quite cute, but noo had no interest in it and the next lo is going to have loads of hand-me-down toys already.

Rodeo · 13/01/2007 22:29

Aw thanks Nova Yes I have told B & J, and Bella finds it all quite interesting and says things like 'Just imagine if there was 4 children!' with a shocked look on her face! Joe's not really asked about her but there is a picture of her in our room which he says is him or Jessie - although we do correct him, it doesn't quite go in yet! I'm sorry your mum felt the need to do that with your brother, keeping him as a sad secret, maybe it was just her way of coping, but must have been tough for you too to find out like that
Brownie, don't worry about yesterday love, You weren't to know Lovely to see you posting though, it has been a long time!
