We always give DS a bottle before he has a nap or goes to bed, I just thought that's how everyone did it lol.
Omg Wil, laughed so hard at pissy knickers. Honest to god though I feel you! It's the reason why I had an ELCS this time, well one of many reasons because let's face it, who wants to be pissing themselves at 29 when pushing a pram?

DS is already on Dr Browns bottles. In a nutshell I have been to the doctors. The verdict is she is a stupid twat and think she got her degree from Mr Tumbles house because it's worthless and she's fucking poo.
I have no idea what I'm going on about and DS has been prescribed Gaviscon for his milk intolerance. Hmm Like that will help. Anyway I have to try other formulas which all have cow milk in them to see if it helps- well why would it if he's intolerant to cows milk? As mentioned he was on soya but I've been reading about how it's not good for baby boys as it can make them infertile! So he's now on cow and gate comfort milk. Apparently if he tries a couple more formulas and he's still just as bad only then can we try the hyper allergenic milk on prescription. Angry
So I have to watch my 5 week old be in pain and not want to feed for a few more days so she's satisfied. This is why I think she's a cunt.

Anyway I'm still exhausted but did take the two pests to antz in your pantz today. DD loved it and ran round for 2 1/2 hours non stop so fx she sleeps well tonight. DS on the other hand has this exciting new milk to try so I'm guessing he'll be up all night as usual with belly aches and constipation! JOY!!

ZylaB · 20/07/2015 20:27

min h won't settle for a sleep at night or during the day not that she sleeps during the day at the moment grr without some milk in her tummy! I don't feed her to sleep, but feed until she's sleepy then put her down awake but ready to snooze. If I don't do that she cries for a feed and won't sleep!

teejayem · 20/07/2015 20:52

It's not gold plated or anything wil, it's just one of those acrylic ones with purple stripes......it's the little things...

ZylaB · 20/07/2015 21:05

Right, that's it.... I'm about 4.5 bloody stones overweight and I need to sort it out (though am actually smaller than I was before I got pg, but I want to be able to run around after H properly). I suspect the diabetes might make it a bit more difficult to do but I'm going to bloody well try!

I'd started couch to 5k, got part way through week 4 then stopped when it was stupidly hot and then I got a nasty cold, so stopped for 2 weeks, redid week 3 and started week 4 again today. It's bloody hard going but for once I'm going to finish something!

I'm also thinking about joining slimming world, cos the running is definately getting me fitter but unless I eat better I won't shift all this sodding weight. The problem is, the breastfeeding makes my sugars drop, but only sometimes, so I have to eat sugary stuff then, but will try to have jelly baby type stuff for sugar, instead of chocolate for sugar and fat!

Meh, if I go quiet about it I'm shit and it isn't working. But still, going to try, finishes last wine for ages gin and slimline tonic is better right??

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 20/07/2015 21:22

Zyla

you and me girl! If I lost 4 stones I'd have BMI of 24, so within healthy range.
but but but...I just can not find the strength/time/energy/commitment to go back to Weight Watchers.

so please, you do it. be a beacon!Smile

RPopz · 20/07/2015 21:34

Heard good things about Slimming World Zyla Smile

Can also recommend getting a stomach bug.... I've kinda lost my appetite since I had it and am not trying hard to regain it. Not had any biscuits since Thursday Shock Grin

ZylaB · 20/07/2015 21:42

My SIL lost 5 and a half stone on slimming world! She's a size 10 now! It's probably an excuse already but I'm sure the diabetes makes it harder for of hypos! popz I need to snack better, but magnums and sweets are so much nicer than seeds! (I swear my sugar levels are good, I just have insulin then snack on crap!)

ZylaB · 20/07/2015 21:45

zing I'm a size 18 bottom for the first time in forever, but a 20/22 top still (can I blame my bf norks??). I've always hated myself and I desperately don't want H to grow up with the body image I have of myself, I want her to be confident. DH is lovely but I think it's time to properly try. I've actually never seriously tried to do anything about it despite always being fat Hmm

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 20/07/2015 21:54

I have no idea what size I am anymore. I've been living in maternity clothes for the last 9 years (since pg with DS4).
In fact I've been sorting my clothes and remarked to DH that it is shocking that I have maternity clothes that I'd love to slim into!Grin Grin Grin

WilHarlot · 20/07/2015 22:03

zyla that's made me sad reading that you feel like that.
I've always been average weight so I know it's not the same but I do struggle with willpower. Two things which worked for me in the past were weight watchers and a personal trainer. Oh and deciding to run a half marathon. Realise a PT is a bit of a luxury but if you aren't strapped for cash they can be helpful.

Pixie your doctor sounds really annoying. The difference going milk free made here has been massive. Ask to see someone else?

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 20/07/2015 22:04

And what I mean by "since pg with DS4" is that I never managed to slim down enough between the rest of the pregnancies since he was born.
which was ok
but now that MiniZing is one and bf is over and we will have no more children I feel it's time to pay attention to loosing weight.
The problem is we are about to embark on a 2 storey extension & loft conversion which in itself will be a nightmare, but for part of the building work will have to move in with PILs which will make it impossible for me to diet. (MIL is obsessed with food and will probably drive me nuts with help tips while FIL will be rolling his eyes at kids' behaviour, stressing me out and driving me to eat comfort food)
so I feel there's no point trying now, when I know I will have to stop while living there for 4 months.

But once we moved back in, that will be the beginning of the new me.
just gimme another yearGrin

Indigoblue2 · 20/07/2015 22:20

Just popping in lurking to say my sister is about to get her 3 stone award at Slimming World and has found it fantastic and really easy to do!

ZylaB · 21/07/2015 01:30

zing there's nothing wrong with having a realistic start point! My mum comes once a week to look after H so I can do 30mins of my couch to 5k and she started bringing scones etc. "for a nice snack after" Hmm. I had to ask her not to heh.

wil we can't afford a trainer, that's why I'm doing couch to 5k, Laura tells me what to do on it hehehe. Grin

indigo that's encouraging to hear!

I did a post on facebook so my mates will keep encouraging me so I actually give it a proper try!

Minion · 21/07/2015 09:56

I think I'm the biggest I've ever been, which is particularly galling as when I had R I went to the thinnest.
My appetite returned around month 3 and now I'm making up for it..Booo.

Just in the middle of an expirement, fed R before her 9am nap to see if it helped with the 45 min thing, it's nearly ten and she's still out. I have heard a few shuffling a on the monitor tho. Daren't go up in case I disturb her!
We're back to feeding in the night. She wakes at bang on 12:15 for the past 3 nights and downs a full bottle. Now, if she was waking out of comfort she would only take a small amount wouldn't she?
Fuck it, just when she's slept through three nights running!
Arrghhhh

She's 7 months old today.
Seriously, where has the time gone?

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 21/07/2015 11:11

minion

may I suggest that if she is on some solids try and add some protein and/or fat for her dinner - some minced or pureed chicken or grated cheese or a spoonful of oil mixed in with whatever she is having might just help her sleep longer/stop waking up.

if it's not pain it's usually hunger that wakes them up if otherwise already sleeping through.
good luck

WilHarlot · 21/07/2015 15:07

Yeah I agree with Zing. Or maybe add in a supper.

No I couldn't afford a PT now either Zyla, this was back in the days of two salaries, no mortgage or children!

Sigh made the mistake of getting her weighed today. Something else to fret over.

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 21/07/2015 15:22

Wil

ha! dinner to me is supper! Grin
whatever it is called I meant the last meal of the dayWink

Minion · 21/07/2015 15:42

Supper as in after dinner?
We go brekkie, lunch, dinner.. So add supper after that?

Talk me through how much and whrn milk should be given. Baring in mind she rarely can take more than 5oz at a time.
We give her 5oz between 5-7, brekkie between 7-8(3oz milk and Cereal with puree fruit), bottle between 10-11 4/5oz. Lunch, half jar of food with meat and a yoghurt with water, bottle around 2-3, again only 4/5oz and dinner 4/5, half jar of veggies with a cheese triangle and pud. Bottle before bed 6/7oz

Now she's waking 12;15 and downs another 5oz

WilHarlot · 21/07/2015 15:55

Haha you're posh if you call dinner 'supper' Zing Wink . I meant an after dinner thing, like a little bit of porridge before bed or something. I wouldn't up the milk any, sounds like she's getting enough and ideally you'd want her to get calories from solids if she's able to do so I would have thought? Although sounds like her eating is great. We're suffering through a teaspoonful a day here...

RPopz · 21/07/2015 17:18

Banana is full of sleep inducing shizzle - try some mashed banana for supper min? And sweet potato - good complex carbohydrates will keep her belly full for longer. Minipopz can still wake every 2 hours some nights... Shock

Is she not liking the weaning Wil? Sad

ZylaB · 21/07/2015 17:52

wil if you're happy microwil is healthy then tell them to bollocks at the weigh in!

minimooo · 21/07/2015 18:09

Shame she's not getting on with weaning wil. Are you going down the puree route or the blw route? I think you said before but can't remember Blush
I need to start reading up on weaning soon and decide what to do. I think I'll stick with the traditional purees but I have heard great things about blw.

pixie your doctor sounds really unhelpful. Can you get a second opinion from somewhere? Is there anything the hv can do? So annoying when doctors don't appreciate that mum's know their kids best, and instead send you round the houses looking for answers. Poor minipixie having to go through the different formulas just so the Dr can be satisfied! Sometimes it feels like it's all about ticking boxes. Angry on your behalf

Good luck with the house hunting tee! Sod them if they haven't contacted you back. It's their loss!

dulcet how are you getting on?

So, I have finished the year-end accounts. Wahoo! They were a tough few weeks trying to get them done in time. We're having maccy d's to celebrate Grin

minimooo · 21/07/2015 18:10

Oh yeah, and what zyla said wil! ^^

WilHarlot · 21/07/2015 18:27

Aaaah I'd love a maccy Ds right now!

Hopefully I'd like to do a mixture of purees and finger foods. I managed to get a few spoonfuls of broccoli in her today and she sucked on a banana for a minute or two. It's early days I suppose.

It was actually the other way round today zyla. HV was saying 'don't worry she's fine' but it was me panicking that she isn't growing! Really not trying to compare but the babies half her age are one or two pounds heavier! Aargh I'm sure she's fine.

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 21/07/2015 18:28

banana and avocado mashed together is a very good combo as well - the fat in the avocado will take longer to digest so fx she will be feeling full.

I would try and give her 6oz milk every time instead of 5 - at 7 months old she might be able to manage that.
