RPopz · 18/07/2015 15:37

Tell me about it Rm - took us about 3 weeks Shock whoops!

RPopz · 18/07/2015 15:38

Clusterfeeding hugs... least you've got people on hand to make you endless brews!

teejayem · 18/07/2015 17:03

Zachary (or variations thereof) is an excellent name choice dulce ;)
We had three shortlisted and I knew Mr tee preferred that above the others and I was too tired to argue...
We found a house! It's lovely, just went on the market today, and we whizzed straight to the letting agents to throw money we don't really have at them, and I casually tossed in that we have a cat, and the guy started to pull faces and said he didn't think the landlord would accept pets. So we offered a bit more on the deposit and an excellent pet reference from our landlord and he said he'd call and find out. That was four hours ago and we haven't heard back, so I'm guessing they're waiting to see if someone else wants to take it who doesn't have pets. So frustrating. Every place we've seen this week has either been snapped up or has been a total pit, so I am literally crossing everything that this one doesn't fall through, the amount of time and petrol I've wasted on viewings this week doesn't bear thinking about. :(

FurryScoob · 18/07/2015 17:25

Happy birthday baby zing!

Hope you get the house tee

Weve just lowered miniscoobs cot so she can't pull herself up on the sides, my babies turning into a toddlerSad & I can't store loads of crap under the cot anymore!

RPopz · 18/07/2015 17:29

Hope you get the house tee ... landlords can be such gits about pets. Sad Surely a small child is more destructive than a cat!

Feel your pain scoob - I put miniP in his "big" cot yesterday and he doesn't exactly look tiny in it!! Shock

PixieChops · 18/07/2015 20:03

Tee fingers crossed you get the house, it may just be that they've not had chance to get hold of the landlord (unlike mine who is a fucking harassing nightmare and would probably come round at midnight if I asked her too) think positive thoughts Smile
Wow miniscoob! Well done for standing!

I agree Dulcet, post natal wards are pretty grim, everyone trying to keep their babies quiet and nobody getting any sleep. Hope you get to leave soon. I was a bit of a diva with both of mine and asked for a private room so I could get some kip. Luckily my step dad footed the bill both times (he offered!)
Don't know about anyone else but I'm bloody exhausted Sad

WilHarlot · 18/07/2015 20:14

I didn't know you could pay for a private room? Wonder if that's a thing up here too.

Fx for house Tee.

Finally home and totally knackered.

cookielove · 18/07/2015 20:33

Happy birthday baby zing

cookielove · 18/07/2015 20:33

For those of you not on Facebook, E took his first steps last night!

RPopz · 18/07/2015 21:36

Where've you been wil?

Aw Cookie - how exciting Smile

I'm knackered too pix - mini didn't go to sleep til 12 last night! And then he was up every hour til 4... Shock Good thing he's super cute.

MrP came home from work early "ill" ... lounged around for a bit til I'd put miniP to bed and then made a miraculous recovery to get up and play xbox Angry My mum's been causing drama again ... I feel like the Eeyore of this Fred!

WilHarlot · 18/07/2015 22:17

You're safe Popz, I'm totally the Eyeore. What's happening with your mum?

I was on a last minute holiday to Gaggia's neck of the woods.

Happy birthday miniZing!

Nessalina · 18/07/2015 23:50

Happy birthday littleZing!

Congrats on the first steps Cookie, that's awesome! And the standing Furry!

And welcome to Dulcet, newest little 'un! We need to chase some of the other new mums over from the grads thread Grin

J has mastered crawling after weeks of flapping like a little fish, yesterday he caught on to how to move his knees, and he's off! Need to do
Some panic-baby proofing!! Shock

Just been out for lovely meal with DH, parents visiting so they baby sat. Tasty food & lots of wine. Had our first counselling session this morning withRelate, and they be signed us up for a 6 week course (to start with) and the councillor seemed very positive that we had issues that they could work with. Feeling much more positive about things Smile

Nessalina · 18/07/2015 23:51

Ugh, sympathy on the man flu Popz Confused DH is master of the 'oh I'm sooo ill, I must go to bed', then when I go up he's been watching you tube for 3hrs Hmm

DulcetMoans · 19/07/2015 00:48

Yay for steps and crawling mummies! I guess everything moves up a level now to keep it out of reach cookie and nessa?!

I am sure there is no eeyore viroids, we can all have a go!

So this mat ward stuff is totally shit. I didn't really sleep last night but was full of adrenaline still I think so didn't bother me too much. Tonight I am tired and luckily I have the sleepy baby at the moment but the other two ladies aren't so lucky. One just let her alarm go off so much it vibrates itself onto the floor and then some before she got it. I know she was probably so knackered she didn't hear it but COME ON! Wouldn't happen in my bedroom! Willing child to stay asleep!

ZylaB · 19/07/2015 07:59

cookie yay for walking!

ness yay for crawling!

dulcet I sympathise, I hated the ward!

WilHarlot · 19/07/2015 08:36

Wards are shit Dulcet, I got zero sleep there. Fx you are home soon.

Glad your counselling went well Nessa and hooray for child-free dinner!

When the hell does hayfever season end?!

RPopz · 19/07/2015 11:56

Sympathies Dulce. I got no sleep either... Had a couple of hours one night and then a mw woke me up at 5am to ask if I'd slept well... !?! Angry Angry Angry

Any news on miniDulcet's blood results? It'll be so much easier when you're home Smile

Sounds positive Ness - I feel like that might be something to look into because I seem to actively dislike Mr P right now... Confused Do you have to pay?

Mum's just talking shit to people as usual wil... Her and my little sister are like acid and water when they get together...

Off to the seaside! GX for sunshine Smile

Minion · 19/07/2015 13:32

Yay for first steps and crawling!

They're growing so fast!
Oh dulcet, I hated the ward. All those screamy babies are nothing compared to the 3am 'hi mum, yeah babies asleep, I can't nod off' phone convos!
Fx you get home soon.

Right ladies, talk to me about the bastard 45 minute nap and how to get over it pls.
I'm so knackered and would love to ' sleep when the baby sleeps ' but it takes me 20 mins to drift off.

Also those with older rugrats when did they move to two long naps? Id like to get things done and MINIon is 7 months now.
Just managed to do 2 nights without 10-12 time feed. She's decided she still wants it.. Yawn yawn!

JuniDD · 19/07/2015 21:25

We have a bit of forward crawling here too. She is also asleep alleluia! First evening to myself for over a month Sad

min I think babyJ (nine month tomorrow...remember those waters breaking?!) is moving to one long nap after lunchtime but the process seems very difficult so I don't recommend it! Maybe that's just me being crap though.

MrJ's had the week off and back to work tomorrow. Bit sad as it's been really nice having him "present" instead of sleeping constantly.

Also, I love eeyores and we're all here to support each other through the ups and downs so don't feel bad for sharing crappy stuff.

I haven't seen any friends with babies/kids for nearly three weeks and it's so much nicer! Blush

JuniDD · 19/07/2015 21:27

Aw, dulcet the ward is awful. I had this ruffian woman next to me SNORING and letting her baby cry all night. I got moved to a room (for free) eventually as I was in so bloody long but they did then forget various obs etc so not necessarily better as I was up at 4.30am waiting for them and had to ring the bell!

OP posts:
DulcetMoans · 19/07/2015 21:49

I am out and home! I am happy, although had a little breakdown when we got here which was a combo of 'OMG we have a baby and don't know what to do' and 'the bed and sofa is too low, I can't do stairs, and am a broken women'. Made a nest in bed now and have fed him so a bit more settled.

They came to do his bloods at 10.30pm last night which I thought was a bit bloody late. Came back at 3am to say the first lot had 'congealed' and needed another! Both times he was asleep so they wheel him off and bring him back needing a feed. Still, by the afternoon the doctor came to say they were confident it wasn't an infection so two days is fine and he can be released. Then it was just waiting for me to be able to leave too which took all afternoon.

Let the real life family fun begin!

JuniDD · 19/07/2015 22:00

Yay! I bet everyone has the breakdown (I certainly did and upset MrJ as I accused him of being shit). You enjoy being in your nest and family fun. Hope you have an ok night. Flowers

WilHarlot · 19/07/2015 22:22

Why nicer without seeing friends with kids Juni? Were you lost in the baby bubble?

Hooray for being home Dulcet, hope it all goes well. Bet you get more sleep than me Grin . Babies seem to overtake Micro with their sleeping abilities around the four week mark Hmm .

JuniDD · 19/07/2015 22:34

Nicer because I haven't had to hear about the good sleeping/eating/nights out etc. just me and my baby bimbling along at our pace. It's only ever other people that make me worry.

Looks like I'm going to be on TV! Breastfeeding! Having seen a picture of the studio it's going to be more babyj staring at the camera with my nip in her eye. Yay...ConfusedConfused

WilHarlot · 19/07/2015 22:56

wtf? how come? And when?

Ah yes, I totally get that feeling. Happens a lot with Miniwil. Feeling especially proud of her at the moment but seeing some of her peers tomorrow so no doubt that'll smack me in the face a bit.
