What you bumping the thread for lady?

FLAMEinEckItsYuleAgain · 04/12/2006 10:45

It won't let me log in at mum's unless I post something, and wanted to check someone was doing the rest of the smilies for me.

CantSleepWithSanta · 04/12/2006 10:53

Rest of the smilies?

CranberryJelley · 04/12/2006 12:15

We should be getting the option of sad/angry/envy with hats....and possibly a drunk one too.

hotmulledwinemama · 04/12/2006 12:22

Oh I like the festive smilies!

Morning everyone, dd2 had her 8-12 month check this morning. Everything fine, mind you she has only put on 5ozs in the last 5 weeks and now weighs 18.5 lbs - is she the smallest baby on this thread? Esp to say she was 9lb at birth!

At this rate it's going to be Easter before dd2 goes in a forward facing carseat.

As I go back to work in Jan, dd2 starts her settling in sessions in Nursery next week. (There isn't a festive version of the sad emoticon)

I'm intending to bf first and last thing on the days she goes to Nursery, she will have water/cows milk when she is there.

Spoke to the HV about trying out the routine now - which she thinks will be a good thing - so on Mon/Weds/Fri I won't be bf dd2 during the day - mind you dd2 isn't really bothered much during the day anyway - hope this doesn't lead to lots of night feeding as dd2 generally sleeps through!

Wow at the walking - dd2 is cruising and I thought that was quite advanced.

PMSL at the turning off the TV - dd2 turned off the DVD that I was watching yesterday - cheeky minx!

Festive Frizbe - Have you done the test yet? We'll all drumming our fingers waiting.

Last night, I discussed with dp about our plans for getting married - so in the new year we are going to our chosen venue to set a date for the latter end of next year (and will intend to try for dd3/ds1 from Jan 08) Also I'm 40 next year - so a lot will be going on - I'm soooo excited!

It's dp's birthday on Friday - so I'm not allowed to get Christmassy before then - so will be doing the tree on Saturday!

Hope everyone is well - going to have some lunch!

WeFrizyouamerrychristmas · 04/12/2006 15:02

Hotmama at the turning off of the DVD.
Great news on getting married next year, hope its not a busy venue tho, as they often book up in advance of a year

CSWS Hope docs goes ok and no I've not done another one yet, will get dh to go out and get one tonight.....I'm going to aqua aerobics later on, so will probably test after then! so you won't be hearing any results until at least 9.30pm

Flame glad your test clear for you

Thanks for the reminder Jelley, we had to scrape to get the Picasso last time, we have no money left in the pot for another......hp here we come if it is.........(or maybe a bank job?)

ellenrose · 04/12/2006 17:31

Hooray for smilies

I have just unplugged the dvd for exactly the same reason - if I can just stop her changing the colour on the remote as well we will be doing well

I need a name, I need a name, I need a name . . . .

By the way - we have four teeth . As we are moving house next week (yes right before xmas - how mad are we) I am surrounded by cardboard boxes rather than decorations - why is it that the one thing I didn't think we need turns out to be the very thing you need moments after you have sealed it in bubblewrap

mustrunmorenakedthroughthesnow · 04/12/2006 18:37

ellenchristmasrose is nice and does remind me of a very nice flower, but its not very exciting

WhenDewmeadowGotStuckUpTheChim · 04/12/2006 18:57

yeah for Flame

Wow at 2 steps!

what exciting news about getting married hotmama!

WhenDewmeadowGotStuckUpTheChim · 04/12/2006 18:58

aw! thats meant to be stuck up the chimney!! aw poo! Ill try again

CranberryJelley · 04/12/2006 20:03

It's too many letters. You'll have to be stuck up a chim, or think of something shorter.

mustrunmorenakedthroughthesnow · 04/12/2006 20:08

cut the 'when' off?

CantSleepWithSanta · 04/12/2006 20:37

hotmama - my dd isn't much heavier than yours - she's only 19lb something (lost weight in last 2 months), and was also 9lb at birth.

ellenrose - moving house this close to Christmas - you are indeed mad!

dewmeadow - all I have to say on the curtailing of your name is that snowmeadow would have fit just fine!

Saw the doc. He had a listen to dd's chest, and thankfully her cough isn't on there, despite sounding like it is. No prob with ears either, but there was lots of yukky mucous in her throat, which he said would be viral, and therefore no point in treating with antibiotics. He did say that there was enough of it that there could be some teething too, which I had suggested was the only other cause I could think of for her moods and poor sleeping. Thankfully I got about 40 mins kip this afternoon, but no doubt it will stop me from settling well tonight .

1 hour to go til Friz's test result .

FLAMEinEckItsYuleAgain · 04/12/2006 20:53

Yay for wedding HM

Grandad is back in hospital Collapsed at lunchtime, probably a heart attack. He was really bright and sorting lots at the weekend and the optimist in me says that it is a good sign, the pessimist wonders if it was his body's way of letting him tie up loose ends

Thumping headache - codydramol took the edge off the migraine, but where I couldn't sleep it off like I have to, I will be left with this headache from hell for the next week. Lots of chamomile tea is about all that eases it now.

mustrunmorenakedthroughthesnow · 04/12/2006 20:58

Oh, Flame, I'm really really sorry about Grandad

CantSleepWithSanta · 04/12/2006 21:07

ditto

CranberryJelley · 04/12/2006 21:34

Sorry to hear about your grandad, Flame.

CranberryJelley · 04/12/2006 21:50

Come on Frizbe.....(taps foot impatiently)....I've got to go again at 10 and I need to know.

CantSleepWithSanta · 04/12/2006 21:55

ditto again

WeFrizyouamerrychristmas · 04/12/2006 21:57

Soz Jelly here it is quickly its a ...................................................................................................................................................................................................NO so where is my damn period, even dh when he came in tonight said my damn tummy was looking fuller

mustrunmorenakedthroughthesnow · 04/12/2006 21:58

I feel strangely let down

CranberryJelley · 04/12/2006 22:00

Me too

Thanks for putting us out of our misery. I can go and watch tv now.

mustrunmorenakedthroughthesnow · 04/12/2006 22:01

Tv? Is that why you'have to go at 10pm'??!! Whats on thats so good?

WeFrizyouamerrychristmas · 04/12/2006 22:01

Ooooh why did that all move down the page then???
anyway I have to say the following

for you and your family Flame, I really hope grandad is ok and back on his feet again soon.

CSWS hurrah for dd's cold not being anything serious

Dew agree with MRM drop the 'when'
Like the idea for ellenrose as well, your not moving in near me are you (Derbyshire!) as the people in the house just over our close are getting ready to move out in the next week or so (they've taken down all the upstairs curtains today and taken the sold sign down as well!)

So any comments on this soddingworms.....

WeFrizyouamerrychristmas · 04/12/2006 22:02

Pah leaving us for the TV mind you I'd better go and do dd2's feeds, back in a bit!
