Roll call please ladies and perhaps add the number of slings and buggies you have acquired at the time of posting... wink

Haaaa Min! How did she discover she could do that without any lawsuits!? I didn't have any erotic experiences with my M&S bra fitter. She was about 60 odd and gave me a bollocking for still wearing underwire... I've been living in the mat bras she sold me since 25 weeks pregnant though so she knew her shit tbf!

When do they stop being newborns? I think it's 12 weeks? Noones classing my lump as a new born anymore anyway! Enjoy your snuggles Zy Smile

ZylaB · 22/04/2015 12:28

Bugger it! I'm classing her as newborn until 16 weeks then...claiming back the 4 weeks she was early! She is dinky anyway so I'll get away with it. Grin

To be honest I'm starting to get really annoyed at people who ask how old she is, and then say 'oh, she's so small!' It's like an accusation and I then feel the need to justify it by saying she was premature. Think I'm going to lose my temper soon with someone who says it...the woman in the post office yesterday sounded bloody accusatory and disapproving when she said it, like I'd not been feeding her or something. Grrr.

WilHarlot · 22/04/2015 14:14

I think it's just because people like tiny babies zy and you forget how small they are. We get it all the time too and then I have to explain why she looks so small and that she is in fact 3 months. Probably should just lie as it would be quicker.

I am sitting in my garden and both children are asleep. I know now they'll wake up because I have shared this info but in this moment, it is bliss.

ZylaB · 22/04/2015 15:14

I think I'll just start saying 'yes' when they say how small she is, and not add anything! Quiet garden time souns amazing!

TheBooMonster · 22/04/2015 16:21

I find myself awkwardly apologising for not being able to grow big babies when people comment on E's size, or going on the defensive and pointing out she's bigger than A was :/

TheBooMonster · 22/04/2015 17:41

I went along to Tumble Tots today, it's the first time I've been in a while as PiL have been taking A for me as I've just not had the energy to go. She had a whale of a time and it actually made me feel awful that she's mostly been stuck in the house in front of cBeebies for the past month, no wonder she's been so bloody destructive, I'd be the origin of all chaos and destruction too if I had all that energy and nothing to do with it. I've resolved to at the very least take her as far as the part each day from now on, even if I feel too tired and overwhelmed.

DH had an interview for the job that they put up whilst he was away and he's been offered the job on 3 months probation, if he manages it he'll get a long awaited pay rise and keep the job, if not he'll i assume go back to his old job, as the other candidate that got through to final interview is also on his team.

That's good news Boo. There is always a period of constant telly watching when a new sibling arrives so don't worry. I make sure to get out every day now or she drives me bananas. She still watches too much telly though.

The garden peace lasted two minutes.

ZylaB · 22/04/2015 18:16

Yay for job boo

This one had better be having a growth spurt! Swear that apart from an hour and a half nap at lunch (where I had to bounce her all the time!) she's not been off the boob for more than half an hour!

RPopz · 22/04/2015 20:55

It'll get easier Boo. Don't feel guilty xx

I get similar rage about people commenting on how big minipopz is all the time. Except they don't say big they say MASSIVE or HUGE or "he's packing on the pounds" (wtf he's a baby!?) Maybe I'm being hypersensitive I dunno. But it always comes across so negatively, like he's some kind of circus freak. Or I'm feeding him too much, as one of DH's work colleagues helpfully pointed out. I'm 5'8 and DH is 6'3 and built like a brick shithouse - the kid was never going to be a waif! The more hilarious thing is that when I was pregnant everyone was always banging on about how "tiny" I was.

Sorry, self absorbed rant there!

TheBooMonster · 22/04/2015 20:57

I suppose babies are like bumps popz considered to be public property to touch and comment on where it would normally be considered and actually blinking is rude...

It really is annoying though isn't it! I may start asking where everyone who mentions it got their medical degree and paeds training....then say 'oh, so I'll listen to the experts who say she's fine then, not you' mwahahaha

cookielove · 22/04/2015 21:18

Hello all :)

Well it's official we moved in Grin

So much has happened in the last couple of weeks not sure what I have told you so I shall do a quick recap Wink
1: E got his first tooth
2: E is pulling himself to standing in the bath
3: E is trying to crawl, currently pushing himself backwards
4: E can finally roll both ways
5: People in flat were smokers so we had to repaint and clean carpets
6: Dh has a chest infection

Can't help with the large bras my chest size never changed :( and I have tiny boobs!

People always comment on E,'s size one lady said he was big but didn't ask how old he was so yeah he is big if he was three months or small if he were a year but pretty much bang on for 8 monthsHmm

Minion · 23/04/2015 00:35

Someone once commented how dinky R was and without asking ag, said, yes well prem babies catch up, don't worry.
Ummm she was 13 days late thanks..

Awkward!

WilHarlot · 23/04/2015 03:22

Haha Min what a knob!

It doesn't bother me too much. I think people just want to have something to say and it's the easiest thing. I also get 'look at the poor wee thing' and 'what's wrong with her?' from strangers in the middle of shopping centres Grin . At least normally they say she's lovely too as recompense!

ZylaB · 23/04/2015 05:47

Yay on moving in cookie

min and wil it's just irking me at the moment, I'm sure I'll calm down or totally lose it at some random old dear who comments next

I'm going to say it, even though it'll probaby mean it never happens again..... H just did 7 and a half hours!! Wtf... Mind you, she did feed nearly all day yesterday, was obviously stocking up!

FurryScoob · 23/04/2015 08:54

Congratulations on your new house cookie

I've not had many comments on miniscoobs size I'm battling the 'ooo she's a ginger' comments or the 'she'd be perfect if she wasn't ginger' ones. Angry

WilHarlot · 23/04/2015 09:07

Shut up furry, noone has said that?! You should move up here - 50% of babies are ginger Grin.

zyla you're abandoning me so I have the only non sleeping baby. Sad I've given up hoping for more than four hours sleep a night.

JuniDD · 23/04/2015 09:13

Don't worry wil, mine's gone non sleeping. Or perhaps much waking. Am covered in itchy heat rash and feel crap.

BabyJ is heading towards 9th centile so sure we'll get those comments soon. She is long though.

WilHarlot · 23/04/2015 09:21

Come and join us on the 9th. It's where all the cool kids hang out Wink .

ZylaB · 23/04/2015 09:26

I'm not abandoning you wil I'm not expecting it to happen again! :)

furry I was really bright ginger when I was younger, it's not properly red any more no bloody idea heat colour it is! and we were expecting H to be ginger and would have loved it if she was! Just ask them straight out what they think is wrong with being ginger? Arseholes Grin

RPopz · 23/04/2015 10:22

Fucking hell Furry - I'd end anyone who said that!

There was a couple on my postnatal ward who apparently had a ginger new born and the husband was not too happy about it. He kept asking the mws if they thought it'd change colour. Git.

FurryScoob · 23/04/2015 10:37

I'm a redhead so it shouldn't be a surprise to people that my daughter is too. I was prepared to help her deal with the inevitable bullying at school but didn't expect it to start when she was a few months old. I'm usually a quiet person but I'm ready for the next arsehole to make a shitty comment.

WilHarlot · 23/04/2015 11:18

Did you really get grief at school furry? I love red hair. I get asked all the time where MiniWil got her hair from, as if she's not mine. I'm not really sure what they expect the answer to be.

FurryScoob · 23/04/2015 11:50

Yes, gingers had the lurgy! Never really bothered me, girl power was about & ginger spice was my hero Hmm

ZylaB · 23/04/2015 13:17

I think red hair is beautiful! To be fair I don't remember getting bullied about it at school. My new bra came! It's way better than what I was using and gives me actual shape! but I think I may need another size up hrmph
