Not a clue! Sure it was quicker last time I had a natural birth. Apparently it just dries up but think you can get tablets to make it dry up quicker- according to my mum. It's been nearly 2 weeks and I'm still leaking HmmConfused

teejayem · 30/06/2015 20:53

Gonna be a long night. We've managed to nap for a grand total of 20 minutes. And that's only if he's being held. My nips are slathered in lanisoh, why did he choose a heat wave for cluster fucking feeding?!

WilHarlot · 30/06/2015 22:20

This one won't go down either. Wondering if it's the lack of sleeping bag but I don't want to bake her.

teejayem · 30/06/2015 22:45

Yep, I've tried not swaddling, even with a really light muslin he seems too hot, but keeps unsettling himself by thrashing about.

Just about resigned to having him on my chest in bed. And hope fully snoozing between feeds.

Pisghetti · 30/06/2015 23:50

Took a little while to get BabyPis down. She has learned how to take her dummy out but only has a one in ten strike rate if getting it back in again. My mam and I had a good chuckle at her earlier jabbing it up her nose/in her eyes before she got it right.

Weigh in and second jabs today. I initially thought she'd only gained 2ozs in 4 weeks so was surprised that she was still tracking between 25th and 50th centile. The HV suggested cutting down on dairy to see if it made a difference. I hardly drink any milk but do eat a fair amount of cheese. However I later realised that she'd actually gained 1lb2oz. As she's actually following that curve nicely I don't see why I should change anything Confused

WilHarlot · 01/07/2015 08:03

BECAUSE SHE'S NOT 50TH CENTILE PIS!!!! Won't you think of the poor child not being bang on average? Hmm What weird advice from your HV.

How did your night go Tee? I fell asleep after 4am feed and forgot to put the baby back in her crib. Unsurprisingly she seemed happy about that.

Has anyone with other children had a bad sleeper before? And if so, what age did they actually start sleeping properly?

PixieChops · 01/07/2015 08:36

DD didn't start sleeping through properly until she was around the 8 month mark. Up to then she was always waking for a feed in the middle of the night. Now she sleeps thorough just fine- apart from when it's like satans bloody pocket outside!
Love the warm weather but wish it would really cool down at night. DS and DP slept downstairs last night. I think I've been a bit unreasonable with DP actually. He was up most of the night with DS for the past 2. I've done the rest of the night feedings since he's been born. DP played cricket last night and was out from 4:30- 10pm playing a 20/20 match. By the time he got home after being with the kids all day I was pulling my hair out trying to keep DS from waking DD as he was just crying. If he wasn't crying he was eating! I was knackered but now I've had quite a good sleep I feel mean that DP now has to go to work on hardly any rest Blush
Thing is though last night I didn't give a shit, my reasoning (with myself) was that he'd been out having a nice evening in the sun running around a field with his mates and I was stuck handling two under 2s for dinner and bed time routine

Pisghetti · 01/07/2015 09:41

Ah yes of course Wil feckless mum that I am Hmm I might eat a block of cheese for breakfast in protest and because I'm greedy

When DP comes home on a Friday, I go on nappy strike until at least Saturday afternoon. He hasn't even been running around in the sun with his mates, he's been at work! Mean girlfriend. He's negotiated a Friday at home from now on so he'll be back a day early. However he's planning to stay at his place for it for the next few weeks so won't make any difference to how much we see of him Angry

ZylaB · 01/07/2015 10:00

MrZ does every nappy when he's not at work! I reason he can actually have a cup of tea or a lunch break at work! I do live him though, he bought us an air con unit so we're camping out in the bedroom where it's lovely!

PixieChops · 01/07/2015 10:55

Zyla I am mega jealous of your air con unit. We are currently melting! Going emergency fan buying in a bit! I'm not happy, I keep feeling like I'm getting a sore throat... Who the hell gets a sore throat in this weather?! Oh me! That's who! Hmm

FurryScoob · 01/07/2015 12:46

EnvyEnvyEnvy I want air conditioning! EnvyEnvyEnvy

teejayem · 01/07/2015 14:17

Wasn't as bad as I feared wil I got mr tee to put him down as I wondered if smelling like mc flurry machine was putting TT off, and it worked, so he did 12-3.30, bloody marvellous. It was boob until 9am after that tho and I just had him in bed with us. Had him in a sling this morning as tesco delivery was arriving and I needed to empty fridge and unpack, but we both got a bit too hot. However! He's had his hours lunchboob and is now asleep in the pram under the parasol outside! 45 minutes and counting!!
Will try him with a cool bath again tonight, I think it might have helped a bit....
And honestly, this percentile business is just ludicrous, we are quite happily bimbling along at the 25th too, yet both hv's are the same 'ooh! It's not 50 though!' I'm basically mainlining him cream cakes via boob, you can't ask for more calories. Hmm

ZylaB · 01/07/2015 15:35

"It's not 50 though" grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Don't they understand?! Just grrrrrr.

PixieChops · 01/07/2015 15:50

DS is on the 50th for weight- not that I'm at all arsed as to what is "perfect" he's on the 98th for height... Wonder if the HV will want me to restrict his growth so he's on the 50th and not "abnormal" Hmm
Don't know if anyone remembers but I have a pain in the arse landlady who insists in doing the garden every week.. Anyway managed to tell her that we'd get our own gardener only for her to still want to come round "occasionally" to weed the flower beds (our gardener does that) only to receive a text last week (a week after my c section) to say she wanted to come round this week and do the garden Hmm the fucking garden has been done! Does anyone have any idea on how to make this annoying fucking woman go away?! We are paying £850 a month for a 2 bed house for her to insist on coming round all the time! I just want out of this contract as we've had enough. She's clearly just checking up on us. God knows what she thinks we are doing. Clearly we're a bunch of inbred scroats who need watching in case we start kicking holes in her walls or something.

ZylaB · 01/07/2015 17:21

Send her a polite but to the point text, saying something like "the whole garden is being dealt with, lawn, beds, everything, so this is not needed but thank you for the offer." It doesn't leave her any option to offer to do anything hopefully!

WilHarlot · 01/07/2015 17:55

Yeah Pixie that doesn't sound right. Did you go through an agent? What does it say in your contract? If your rent covers the garden, she should have no reason to come round. That is mucho expensive rent!

Our HVs don't do the panic around the 50th centile. But they do get jittery if they move between lines. Love the thought of you stopping DS from growing Pixie. I'll have to get my rack out and stretch Micro.

It's warm here but cooled down a lot from earlier. They were predicting storms so that'll be fun Hmm .

WilHarlot · 01/07/2015 18:18

Ooh can someone on pc do a new thread please?

teejayem · 01/07/2015 19:41

Still 33c here. Mr tee text me about an hour ago to say he was going to be late in from work and now doesn't want to barbecue because he wants an early night. Ha! Hahahah! Twat.
I am actually thinking about skewering his bollocks. I refuse to cook in this heat.

RPopz · 01/07/2015 20:00

Hahaha... MrPopz is still doing the lonely shower wanks and minipopz is almost 6 months... Oops.

How's your fanjo doing Tee , you had a third degree didn't you? A mate of mine just had to have her episiotomy RECUT Shock because it wasn't healing properly.

This heat needs to fuck the fuck off. I've had four cornettos today. FOUR.

WilHarlot · 01/07/2015 20:11

Bad news on the barbecue. We had a very healthy prawn stir fry.

Ouch! Just ouch Popz, your poor friend.

Bfing makes for a very clammy experience in these temperatures. However we only reached about 26 degrees today so not sure how the rest of you are managing.

cookielove · 01/07/2015 20:24

I am hot :(

Baby is hot :( :(

We don't own a freezer :(

Life is bad!

ZylaB · 01/07/2015 20:35

Hi, just starting to think about what we need when we go away in a couple of months. Please can I have recommendations for travel cots? Also did you get extra mattresses/toppers to make it more comfy? And strollers/buggies? We love our 'proper' pram, but with so much stuff to pack, and limited space in the cabin when the cot is in there, we're debating getting an umbrella type stroller for holidays only, any ideas? I'd want something with a good hood/sunshade cos H is set to have whiter than white skin like us which will burn in about 3 nanoseconds if she's like both her parents Grin

teejayem · 01/07/2015 21:21

It's actually healing ok I think popz it doesn't hurt or sting and the tight feeling has gone. I also sneezed without my foof turning inside out yesterday.! I've not looked at it for a week or so, but it def feels better, just a bit lumpy, which I guess is the scarring. Compared to even a week ago it feels miles better, ouch for your friend, :( I was convinced mine was going to need redoing after seeing it, but I think I'm lucky enough to get away with it. This healing lark is stressful!
Thought the post birth shark attack bleeding was easing off a bit too, but had two surprise clots today and yesterday, it's like it knew I was considering no pad in pants so I could get in pool. Wanker.

JuniDD · 01/07/2015 21:37

New Thread Sorry the title is shite!

pixie I am/was a housing advisor so will try to pm you at some point. Can you pm me the type of contract you have, when it was signed etc?

zyla we have a hauck dream & play travel cot & laura mattress. Using it at as playpen but she does nap in there. It's quite heavy but folds up nicely. Also have a Baby Jogger Vue buggy - very light, umbrella fold and the seat flips to face out or parents which I like. Off on hols ourselves in a couple of weeks and no idea where to begin!
