We've no time for JSing. We're battling green nappies, sleepless nights, x-box playing men and trying to hide our sling addictions. Fuck it, let's do a runner on a golf cart.

Wrap her up in cotton wool & take her as Olaf! GrinSorry not much help

Routine here is yawn/eye rub, bath, bottle in her room with lamp on, teeth clean, cuddle & bed. Story's just mean a good munch on the bookHmm

Another bad teething day, loads of crying, snot & wanting a cuddle but tooth number 3 has just appeared Smile

minimooo · 04/06/2015 22:30

Thanks viroids, all really helpful. Will have a think how to slowly introduce some sort of routine. She does love baths so will probably include that.

Sorry about crying furry, but Yay for tooth number 3.

Not much help on the fancy dress front I'm afraid, but love the Olaf idea!

Minion · 05/06/2015 03:19

Anyone else up?
No.
Just me then.
This dummy is history.

minimooo · 05/06/2015 06:52

Oh min! You poor thing. Yeah maybe it's time for the dummy to do one. You might have to endure a few days of screaming but hopefully it'll be better in the long run.

E is asleep. Dh is asleep. I'm up expressing. Wtf?! Hoping I can get a snooze soon.

ZylaB · 05/06/2015 07:27

H refused to go down until 11.30 last night, naughty girl! :)

Babies don't have to wear a vest do they? I know this is a silly question, but she slept just in sleep suit as it was warmer last night and I didn't want her getting too hot. If it goes really warm I'll just do vest or only nappy. That's right isn't it?

ZylaB · 05/06/2015 07:27

wil couch to 5k day today for me!

Minion · 05/06/2015 07:36

That's what we do zyla, sleepsuits under sleeping bag. Who knows what will do when it gets really warm of a night. Her room gets sun all day long.
So, I got some sleep (40 mins on sofa) and an hour when the husband took over. She's currently downstairs screaming as she wants to sleep but he won't give her it.
I deffo think it's time. At one point he got up 4 times in an hour and half last night just to replace the bastard thing.
So how do I soothe her without it, or do I just let her cry?

FurryScoob · 05/06/2015 07:48

min I'm trying to get rid of Miniscoobs, our trick so far is to shove her guess how much I love you bunny down my bra all evening so it smells of me & then she takes it to bed & falls asleep playing with its ears. If she wakes in the night give back bunny but not dummy. It was all going well until the teething started & now I'll do anything to get her to sleep! Sad
BrewBrewBrewBrewBrewBrewhope you get some power naps today

Minion · 05/06/2015 07:55

The husband has just given in. out like a light on seconds.
Literally seconds.
Back to square one.

Pisghetti · 05/06/2015 10:11

We had a fizzy shit incident here and I thought of you Wil Smile She totally mistimed it though so I was able to contain it in the outgoing nappy. Ha loser!

I do long sleeved vest and sleeping bag at the moment. I have a 0.5tog sleeping bag for when it gets warmer.

Would a gradual withdrawal be an option Min? Like taking it away in the daytime (maybe offer a comforter like Furry suggests?) for now before attempting it through the night? You must both be frazzled Brew Flowers

Minion · 05/06/2015 10:44

She doesn't really unveiled it in the daytime anymore, other than when she's napping or really pissed off.
I'm going to teach her to find hers I guess.
She's nearly 6 months old, it won't be too long I think.

WilHarlot · 05/06/2015 11:12

Yeah I agree with trying to replace it with something else - although she might be resistant at first. I have the same issue with white noise - no idea how to get her to fall back asleep without it (apart from boob). Hope you get a break today Min.

Yuck to foamy poos. I think it's because I've been a little lax with the dairy recently - must be better.

My aim to start today zyla. Although wishing I had done it yesterday as weather is shite arse today. But I'll go out as long as it's not bucketing when MrWil gets home.

Any clothing option is fine for babies I think. We still do bodysuit, sleepsuit and 2 tog sleeping bag - often with blanket too. But that's because we apparently live in Narnia.

Thanks for fb solidarity Juni. It was a moment of weakness about MiniWil - but I need to catch myself on and focus on positives.

WilHarlot · 05/06/2015 12:07

Meant to say, surely under ones are exempt from dressing up? Put her in a posh dress and pick a princess? Or wrap tinfoil round her legs in a fish tail and call her Ariel Grin .

ZylaB · 05/06/2015 12:24

LOVE the tinfoil idea! Mwhaahhaa

WilHarlot · 05/06/2015 12:29

Haha she'd freak out any time she moved!

JuniDD · 05/06/2015 13:06

Haha it's scorchio down here today I can't wrap my baby in foil! GrinGrin

I found a dress which is a bit...bridal but my auntie in USA sent it so two birds, one stone etc.

Babyj is scratching her neck so much today. Poor kid. Nothing seems to help. Sad

WilHarlot · 05/06/2015 13:13

Because of the heat? Or does she have eczema? Haha baked baby! I'm thinking of wrapping us in tinfoil to help us keep warm!

JuniDD · 05/06/2015 14:07

Bit of both I think wil. Though the Dr says it's not exczema.

Just nearly fell asleep on her mat while she played. 3pm is too late to be going out for me.

WilHarlot · 05/06/2015 14:51

Yeah I'm knackered by this time. Have you seen those scratch sleeves?

JuniDD · 05/06/2015 19:43

Babyj is currently asleep with her scratch sleeves on! It's just hard during the day when she wants to have her hands to play but also scratches. I've been chopping and changing her emollient but gonna stick with hydromol as that seems the best at the moment.

Everyone loved her princess dress and said how gorgeous she is. GrinGrin

WilHarlot · 05/06/2015 21:53

Aw yay! still think you should have gone with tinfoil.

Trying to decide what to do for MiniWil's birthday which is coming up. The weather is so bad here at the moment but really want to do something outdoors.

JuniDD · 06/06/2015 11:34

I have The Birthday Party all ahead of me. Is there like a farm park with a soft play so you can do both? How old will she be?

Saw this and thought it might be a good read: theunmumsymum.blogspot.co.uk/2015/01/lesson-35-sugar-coating-of-social-media.html

Currently pissed off with mrJ who has just got up. Am still in pjs with sleeping baby on me. AngryAngryAngry

WilHarlot · 06/06/2015 16:06

At 11.34??? God what would you give for that lie in?!

She'll be 3. I'm leaning towards just taking her out for the day - not sure how she'd cope with a party.

Shall check out the link.

ZylaB · 06/06/2015 17:22

Yay, week 1 of couch to 5k done! I might start week 2 even though you're meant to have a day off in between, it's easier for me to do it with DH here!

Off out to it for a meal...gulp

ZylaB · 06/06/2015 17:59

I don't make any sense do I lol!

Might start week 2 tomorrow

And

Off out tonight..
