Oh wil, that was me yesterday. I feel your pain.
This one went till 3 dummy less as she fell asleep on the bottle. Then she was up, husband couldn't settle her so I took over, popped her down, went to bed and she woke!
TBF shed had a big poo, which was weird seeing as though the husband didn't notice...hmmmm.
So I gave in and gave her a bottle, but she slept in till 6:30.
Yawn yawn yawn.

I'm hoping she won't start waking at 3 for a feed again.

ZylaB · 03/06/2015 10:15

Mum's coming to look after H for a little while so I can start couch to 5k again, I'd started it just before I got pg and I need to get fit cos I'm terrible. A lot of walking with and carrying H has helped but I want to do something properly. Doubt I'll lose weight though with my current crap diet and I also need to do that, a lot! One I'll feel better getting fitter though even when I stay fat. Wish me luck!

ZylaB · 03/06/2015 10:26

By the way, how long did you guys lose hair for after giving birth? Mines still coming out by the handful! I'm going to be bald at this rate :(

WilHarlot · 03/06/2015 12:48

My hair took a while to start falling out but when it did, it went on for ages. I'm going to try to do some exercise too zyla. We could do it together. When are you starting?

Minion · 03/06/2015 13:36

Mine started bang on 3 months when the spots cleared up and is still going strong (2 months later), think it may be slowing down tho now.

I've just had a omg moment.. Waiting fir the m&s man to fix our bed and was on the floor playing with R and she started to fuss so I thought oh I'll give her some solids, she sat on my lap and went very still.. She fell asleep. No rocking, no Cuddling, nope, she went, sitting up!
That's got to be progress in the falling asleep anywhere phase, right?

WilHarlot · 03/06/2015 14:41

Humph. Sadly Min that has never happened to me.

I got projectile pooed on. It looked radioactive - like a foamy energy drink. I am assuming this isn't good??

ZylaB · 03/06/2015 16:17

I started on Sunday wil, it's the nhs couch to 5k I'm doing, but to be honest I could start the first week over again if you want to do it together? I've got mum booked in every wed to do a session and then I'll do one on a fri night or a mon night when mrZ gets home and one over the weekend. I'm taking her out for a walk most days too, but I'm not counting that.
Thing is.. I did it today, then ate the cookie my mum brought from her shopping, still..I said it was to get fit didn't i? Lol

Foamy poo sounds...interesting?

min falling asleep sitting up is impressive, I can't do that! put herself down for her lunchtime nap today, I was grabbing some lunch so she was on her bouncer, came in with it

ZylaB · 03/06/2015 16:18

Oops..

Came in with it and just bounced her to keep her asleep!

wil shall we keep each other company then? :)

WilHarlot · 03/06/2015 17:45

Yes let's! Will have to dig out all my old stuff. Don't worry about repeating week if you don't want to - we can keep each other going even if you're a week ahead. I will try to start tomorrow or Friday. Smile

cookielove · 03/06/2015 17:54

What's this couch to 5k you speak of?

My hair still hasn't fallen out, I really wanted it too as I have stupidly thick hair!

ZylaB · 03/06/2015 18:11

Cookie, it's nhs free podcasts to get you from no jogging at all to jogging for 30mins (or 5k depending how quickly you do or don't go!) in about 9 weeks :)

Sounds good wil! I need motivation.

MrZ stops away once a week cos of distance from work, which is fine. Before H came along it was twice. He mentioned doing 2 nights away this week and I'm really sad about it, but feel selfish so haven't said. I don't want him so tired he falls asleep on the motorway, but I like him giving me a few mins where I don't have to be in charge of the baby, much as I love her! I need to suck it up don't i? :(

cookielove · 03/06/2015 20:23

Oooh I might give that a try :)

Completely messed up E's routine tonight :(

Minion · 03/06/2015 21:07

Oh dear cookie, what's happened?
I'm trying something new too. I usually feed her as we sit upstairs then bed, but she's been fighting that lately, she doesn't fight naps tho, so I figured I'd do the same.
So I fed her at 5, took just over 90mls and got her, slowly, ready for bed, she was pretty drowsy at this point so then I took her up at 6 and she took another 130 (which is more than the normal bottle-result) and she fell asleep straight away.
She's woke ish a few times cause of the frigging dummy falling out, however the husband went to see her and took it out completely and we haven't heard from her since...
Fingers crossed.

Pisghetti · 03/06/2015 23:36

I know how you feel Zyla MrPis is away four nights every week and I miss just being able to hand her over for five minutes the most! He's arranged stuff to do with his mates for the last two weekends which I didn't mind as we went to stay with him for the half term but he's made plans again this weekend to go out on the Saturday night. I think we need a chat about this as it isn't really fair. I don't think he gets how full on it can be. We went out for dinner last week and she was fussing so I ended up bouncing her on my lap waiting for DS or DP to finish eating so I could pass her over. DS finished first and as I went to pass her on, DP said don't you take her, I want to have her when I finish as I've been at work all day. I had to point out I had a full plate of (cold) food that I hadn't had a chance to eat so DS would be taking her until he'd finished. He just doesn't seem to fucking notice!

Sorry that turned into a bit of a rant Blush

Yay for sleeping babies! Boo to foamy poo though Confused

WilHarlot · 04/06/2015 08:37

That's crap Pis. Will he be responsive to you bringing it up? Kudos to you both for having men who work away. I wouldn't be very good at coping with that I don't think.
How did it go Min?

We have no plans today for the first time in ages. I guess that means I should do the shopping. Supermarket with two small children.....may not be in the best mood later!

Minion · 04/06/2015 16:20

She slept till 3;30 without it, feed at 12, so so really, doesn't like the heat tho

WilHarlot · 04/06/2015 17:02

Heat? Clearly that hasn't reached us Sad

Minion · 04/06/2015 18:51

I'm sure I wrote more than that...
Heat, yep, scorchio up here today. She was all factor 30d up, stupid me forgot myself so I now resemble Sebastian the lobster!
She refused a late nap today so went to bed at 6 dummy less, but we've had to pop it in as she was stirring.
Hasn't really bothered with it today except for naps, she's found she quite likes her fingers!

Yay!
Tho not when coated in soltan...

minimooo · 04/06/2015 19:40

Hope she stays asleep for you min, sounds like a tough time you're having with no sleep.

Beautiful sunny weather here too. Managed to take E out in the garden for half an hour today - longest we've been outside since she was born! Was lovely and it sent her straight off to sleep.

Don't know how you cope pis and zyla with you other halves away so much. I'm totally in awe. I couldn't cope with that at all.

E was a month old yesterday! She's getting so big. We don't have any sort of bedtime routine yet. When did you guys start to introduce a routine? And how did you do it?

ZylaB · 04/06/2015 20:20

I don't cope with it too well lol. MrZ came home today, think he noticed I was a bit down about it yesterday, bless!

mini we just took to cluster feeding in the bedroom after bath. She always has her bath about 7 or 7.30 then we keep it a bit darker and quieter in our room (still watch TV but quietly) while she fills her tank, then she's usually ready to sleep by about 10ish. Though to be fair, I think she's starting to make it earlier...so we haven't really enforced much, just let her find her way but helped it a bit with the quiet etc. she settled into it herself.

WilHarlot · 04/06/2015 20:59

We are crap at routine Mini. I usually bring her upstairs some time between 7.30-8 and feed her and she'll eventually go to sleep. The time totally varies. She's currently still on my lap although I can hear snoring so will put her down shortly. She's terrified of water so we don't do bath as part of bedtime routine. With my first though, I did pretty much everything at the same time every night. She started off going to bed about 11 and then got earlier and earlier until we settled on about 7.30.

WilHarlot · 04/06/2015 21:02

oh, routine was something like: bath/or change into pyjamas, story on nursing chair, put into sleeping bag, bottle, bed.

This one had day and night confused for weeks so we were still up in the air when she was 1 month.

Minion · 04/06/2015 21:14

Routine less here too. I just get her to sleep when she yawns, feed her roughly ever 3-4 hours and bedtime is change into sleepsuit and as soon as there is a yawn she's upstairs , bottle , sleep.
Stories and baths excite her so her bedtime routine is quicksticks.

JuniDD · 04/06/2015 21:49

similar routine to zyla here. I ended up introducing a bath during the "I'm not tired mummy" phase as she finds them knackering. She's getting right into them now and it's a lot of fun to go in with her!

I did a post which got lost but sent FB "fuckems" as required.

Need help! Have to do Frozen/Disney fancy dress for babyj tomorrow. Any ideas of where I can go to get something or something I can cobble together? Access to supermarkets etc but can't face town!

ZylaB · 04/06/2015 22:05

Make some black ears and use a bow and go as Minnie mouse if you can't face anything else juni?? I'm dreading stuff like that, I'm so crap at crafty things...
