Goats that sounds like madness, these babies love to keep us on our toes hey. Hope tonight is calmer for you...

We are also getting the bigger cot out today, still in our room for now, but if he manages some longer stretches I think we'll put him in his own room next week...

ohthegoats · 21/03/2015 17:00

We're going for full on HELL - putting her in her own room and a big cot as soon as we move back in the next week or so. Well... I'll play with her in the room a bit first, but she's not getting more than a couple of nights in with me there, I'm done with sharing with a tiny menace, I want my big menace back.

ohthegoats · 21/03/2015 17:00

Nice eye(s) sazzle!

BettyJudy · 21/03/2015 17:10

Ooh sazzle nice grey! Is nice and even and can see it suits your skin tone. I will try and post a pic of my current badger stripe when at home. Just on way back from colour consultation with hed honcho colour director at Vidal Sassoon about transitioning colour and she tried to persuade me to go for a lower maintenance colour (she would wouldn't she), but said that white highlights on the top section would blend.

So £68 for that, versus £46 that I now spend every 3 weeks on colour alone.. Gonna go for it

sazzlehopes · 21/03/2015 19:29

Betty I like the sound of that plan... Be nice to see the process of you fancy sharing a pic! When I was dying my hair when I could see the regrowth I thought I was SO grey...it wasn't til I grew it out I realised actually it wasn't that grey and was quite interesting.
I've changed my clothes slightly, I used to love wearing proper black tops etc but it's quite harsh on me now, I suit lighter colours and actually grey clothes!! It's been quite fun.

Goats thanks!! And yes I'm with you on the big cot, own room thingy...let's do this together!!

BettyJudy · 21/03/2015 19:56

Hair, plus one eye, plus one massive eye bag. You can tell that is the eye of a new mum Grin

Sorry others - I have gone off on a hair tangent and will bring it back to baby related topics. Hoping for a good night for everyone

I think you should go for it betty and sazzle yours is a fab colour.
I quite like a bit of non baby chat! Much as we love them occasionally being mum can get a bit boring!!!! Grin

MundayCakes85 · 21/03/2015 23:12

Hiding on the nursery floor playing white noise to make the child sleep!
Had a lovely day with DH watching the rugby, great game even if we didn't win the tournament.
I'm tempted to change hair colour, chopped it all off and dyed it red last year and never managed to get back to my normal blonde. Will check out the hair dye aisle in Boots this week Smile

Igottastartthinkingbee · 22/03/2015 01:54

And normal service has resumed. 2hrly wake ups again.....

Igottastartthinkingbee · 22/03/2015 01:57

Oh actually I think it's only an hour and a half since the one..bluergh. The previous night was total bliss with one wake up at 3. Got excited that it might be the start of a good thing!

BettyJudy · 22/03/2015 07:32

It is so maddening Igotta. Always changing.

Baby betty did her best night in a long while last night. Took 1.5 hours to settle (but she is getting used to no dummy) the asleep from 8pm until 5.30 a.m. Thank you baby!

MundayCakes85 · 22/03/2015 11:55

Baby only did a 20 min nap for DH so I then spent 40 mins in the dark rocking and singing to her. Quite unsettled night, she feels a bit warm but still cheerful so not too worried.
Hope everyone's enjoying the sunshine.

Sleepywaterbaby · 22/03/2015 13:43

We have a 20 min napper... So today it's time for operation proper naps.

She just woke from a 20 min nap. I spent 20 min resettling and she's been out for 35 mins so far... I think I'll bank that as a success.

Loving the hair style chat. I went for a graduated bob but it seems to have grown out really quickly and bubba tends to grab it with a proper fist-lock. Might need to go even shorter next time (whenever that might be possible).

Sleepywaterbaby · 22/03/2015 13:44

Oh, ps. thanks Yellow. We have started on the ranitidine and she's definitely bringing less back.

MundayCakes85 · 22/03/2015 15:55

Sleepy I had a pixie cut last year and it's only started growing properly since I had the baby. Much prefer my bob as less faffing and expensive trims. Does that make it a "Mum hairstyle"??

sazzlehopes · 22/03/2015 19:10

butt I too am enjoying the non baby chat!
betty do it, your hair seems lighter than mine, so I think it wouldnt be too harsh to grow out with some clever colour work...
igotta we too resumed normal service last night where I saw in every hour...will
See what tonight holds!!!

BettyJudy · 22/03/2015 20:31

munday i have actually been fantasising about having a pixie cut for a long while now. Loved victoria beckhams when she did hers. Does it take a lots of maintenance then? How did it feel when you first went for the chop!?

ohthegoats · 22/03/2015 20:37

I have short hair - it's an asymmetric thingy at the moment - long on the right hand side (well, 'long' enough to hook behind an ear), but about an inch or so long on the left. Dyed brown with highlights... due mostly to the grey 'highlights' I have. I suggested growing it out to which boyfriend said that due to the patches of grey I have, it would look like a bird has pooed on me. He's not wrong. I try all the time to grow my hair, but never get beyond a short bob.

Baby still being an evening 'sleeping' nightmare. Boyf is going in to sort her each time she wakes because with me she goes nuts. She's not hungry, so no idea what it's about. She's being sort of fine during the actual night at the moment though.. phew.

Fingers crossed for some sleep tonight everyone..

MundayCakes85 · 22/03/2015 22:16

Betty I donated my hair to charity so was really glad to get the chop. I found it needed more attention in the morning as I looked like I'd slept doing a head stand! Was lots of fun though.
Here's a before and after photo... I don't mind being outed Grin

Greenstone · 23/03/2015 05:33

You are gorgeous Munday! As are the others from the half -pics Wink

Crap crap night here, dd full of wind so not settling in evening and feeding to puking point in night after woken by dd1 who needed loo earlier. I have admitted defeat and committed cardinal sin of leaving bedroom before 7 am - we are downstairs and I am maniacally rocking pram. Couch for me til morning once she's drifted off
I will be joining goats and sazzle on the big cot/own room stand asap.

MundayCakes85 · 23/03/2015 10:19

Aw thanks Green don't look like that anymore- my DD has seen to that Grin I hope you got a bit more sleep on the sofa this morning.
We've developed a 4am wake up routine, hoping to crack this asap.

BettyJudy · 23/03/2015 14:25

munday you do look gorgeous! With both long and short hair

STIGZ · 23/03/2015 14:50

Wow munday you look great with both styles! You are so brave getting it all chopped, i am a chicken when it comes to changing my hair.

My dd is enjoying 4am wake ups at the minuteHmm but is actually unsettled from around 2am. I hope it doesnt last as the back to work countdown is onSad
