Aaarrgghh teething? Regression? Still significantly luckier than a lot of you but dd has started the 45 min thing, is shouting out in her sleep & woke at 3:15, 4:45 & for the day 6:15 last night. She's been v sleepy today to make up - 4 naps & an early bedtime. Not drunk much milk today so could be a long night!

Hope the sickness clears soon. We've had a snotty week but just colds.

Parents about to arrive - have a good weekend

Buttwing · 13/03/2015 21:15

yellow it was a bit of nightmare the alternative one seems much better! he's not at the age where I can bribe him yet! After he projectile vomited all over me I'd decided enough was enough! Grin
He loved the amoxicillin last week but unfortunately it didn't shift the infection. Babywing is on amoxicillin now and he has the runs I'm going to see how he goes over the next couple of days.

God motherhood is so glamorous!!! Grin

Buttwing · 13/03/2015 21:17

twisted I hate those days when they don't feed that much you just know that nighttime is going to be hard work!

Greenstone · 13/03/2015 22:17

Buttwing, my dd had to have antibiotics at 8 weeks and it totally scalded her insides. Horrible poo for weeks long after the course was finished. A poster on another thread recommended BioGaia probiotic drops which I've recently started giving dd. I think she is much better for them. Assume they work on toddlers too!

Greenstone · 13/03/2015 22:19

Dh is out having a lovely meal with our visitors tonight. I feel like I've been cleaning all day.Hmm ( he did do a good bit yesterday evening in fairness but our house is a bit of shit tip at the moment so there was lots left to do).
Finally running my hot bath and dd wakes...

MundayCakes85 · 13/03/2015 23:26

Evening all, just woke up on the sofa to feed the baby, left DH there so maybe I'll starfish the bed!
Buttwing sorry to wear about your poorly kids, hope the new abx work better. And good luck tonight Twisted.
Nice day with friends and a toddler coming to visit, I've really missed grown up conversation so was lovely.

Buttwing · 14/03/2015 09:17

Oh god it gets worse in the wing house! Now dd2 has a sickness bug projectile vomit all over the carpet at 1 this morning, cleaned her up and put her back to bed, she woke up at six covered in dried sick shed been sick in her bed and not realised. She gulped down a drink and threw up again. We went downstairs she had a few sips of water, threw up again. Poor little thing she is on the sofa looking like death warmed up. Spoke to ooh's about baby wings runny bum and they've said to carry on with the ab's and he will be fine Confused

Hope everyone had a good night :)

ohthegoats · 14/03/2015 09:46

Sorry to hear about all the illness. We've got rivers of snot, but no sick.. yet!

Nights are suddenly better - last night woke at 2 and 5 and that was it until 7.30. Proper decent eating at both wakes, none of this grazing crap. I still feel dreadful though. Presumably will take a while to catch up a bit.

Buttwing · 14/03/2015 10:00

goats that's great I found when Babywing started to sleep better it took me a while to catch up.

Dd2 keeps asking for raspberries?! I'm thinking this is probably not a good idea, is it really bad that I'm deciding what she should eat based on what colour it will make her sick?!

sazzlehopes · 14/03/2015 10:20

Yesterday I typed two long replies and my phone crashed both times. On the lack of sleep I almost cried so I couldn't face reposting!
Hoping this one works...

green it's been tiny bits of food - just baby rice and some mashed sweet pot/butternut squash. He's just getting te hang if moving it back in his mouth, a lot still comes out. He doesn't have reflux, just allergies so I can't comment on it helping reflux. He's enjoying it though and it's nice to take things slowly.

And sound the klaxon but last night for the fitst time in 2 months he slept after a half 8 resettle until 2am. Actually amazing. So pleased he can do it. And like goats took a proper feed at 2 because obviously my boob was huge! Then he woke again at 4 and at half 5 and half 6... But really such an improvement. Now praying to the sleep gods that wasn't a one off!

sazzlehopes · 14/03/2015 10:22

butt you sound like you're haning a nightmare with all the sickness. Hope things improve over the weekend for all your kiddos.

Twistedheartache · 14/03/2015 16:51

Butt - hope you get a break soon & everyone bounces back soon. Sounds hellish.

Our night was much better than expected. Just the one wake up for milk around 3 but she stirred after 45 mins, shouted out in her sleep quite a few times and it was an early start.
She's definitely still off her milk today. No idea why. Not grumpy, chewing away but not really worse than usual - must be teeth

Igottastartthinkingbee · 14/03/2015 20:37

We're having a crappy old time here. DD has gone from being moderately rubbish at sleeping to being completely rubbish at sleeping unless being held. Doesn't do the 4 hour block anymore either, I get 2 hours if I'm lucky. Having the in laws judging all over the place hasn't helped but they left yesterday so we've no one to answer to now!

FATEdestiny · 14/03/2015 23:07

Happy Mothers Day for tomorrow Grin

We've got ten round the table tomorrow. It's all good fun.

Having some nothing-to-do-with-baby problem, not sure if this is the right place to share? Massive problems with my skin since my periods have gone back to normal. Horrible hormone related spots. Bloody hate it and having a massive outbreak. To make matters worse, I've used a cream called Quinoderm for years, but it has suddenly disappeared from the chemists shelves. Grr

Anyway, sorry some of you are having rubbish sleep. My sleep really isn't that bad but even so, I seem to have re-instated my afternoon nap. Went to a spa day on Thursday. Spend an obscene amount of money to go to sleep for 2 hours whilst there Blush

MundayCakes85 · 14/03/2015 23:09

Sazzle glad you got a bit of sleep last night, going it's the start of better things.
Buttwing sorry you're having such a tough time, hope everyone feels better very soon.
Having a crappy evening of constant resettling here, not sure if she's got a dicky tummy or teething (nasty nappies today) but FX she I get some rest tonight.

Happy Mother's Day all. We've started the day at 5.45 with ds2 and I've just sent ds1 back to his room for being a total brat. I'm parenting solo while my husband is somewhere in London nursing a hangover from a wedding we were supposed to go to together but couldn't becase N is obsessed with boob, allergic to formula and wakes every hour at night pretty much.

Luckily going to my Mums later for a lovely lunch.

Hope the rest of you have better starts!

MundayCakes85 · 15/03/2015 07:35

Oh Sazzle doesn't sound like you're having a very nice morning. Hopefully DH will come home with something nice for you. Enjoy lunch with your mum.
We were up every 1-2 hours last night, proper shouty wake ups and a couple of green nappies. Otherwise cheerful so I'm wondering if teeth are imminent? Poor little love.
Happy Mother's Day everyone x

splendide · 15/03/2015 07:45

We've been up since 5.30 with 3 dirty nappies since then. Really unlike him, he's got a proper dicky tummy poor boy. Could it be the 16 week jabs? He had them on Thursday and had loads of runny poo since then. Some quite green and mucosy. Oh. There's another!

Greenstone · 15/03/2015 08:45

Happy mother's day everyone Smile
sazzle that's so so hard for you! In a few months once more food is going in I am sure you can claw back a good night off or make like fate and organise an expensive afternoon sleep Wink what about the special formula, any chance of getting that prescribed?
We go through phases of green poo here, especially if dd has been grazing a lot - too much foremilk I think.
fate I understand about the hormonal skin. My skin has been transformed since I discovered La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo. Would you give this a try? Honestly, about 15 years of hormonal spots and this stuff was the solution all along (Dianette pill also worked but GPs don't like it).
My skin is not perfect but it's so much better. My skin is very sensitive so very few creams suited it but LRP does - and still manages to treat the spots.
Good luck for your lunch! Am in bed with tea and toast, dh taking the children out for a walk, going to try to sleep now.

Buttwing · 15/03/2015 10:08

Happy Mother's Day everyone!

sazzle that's really rubbish, but I hope you have a nice time with your mum I think you should buy yourself that dairy free chocolate cake and eat the lot you deserve it!

green sorry I somehow missed your post Ithink I will get that probiotic both toddlerwing and babywing have got shocking poo now tmi but it looks like hummus! And they may as well not be wearing nappies it just goes everywhere. Thanks for the advice ab's seem to really affect little ones :(

Dd2 is a bit better not being sick but still just lay on the sofa poor little thing.

I had a lie in this morn for Mother's Day til dp came up with pressies and cards and booted me out of bed because he needed to lie down as he didn't feel well Hmm

Sleepywaterbaby · 15/03/2015 15:39

Sounds like your morning was like mine Buttwing. DP took the lo at 8am. I think I was very generous to wait until that time. He let me sleep until 10am (lush), then laid bubba next to me and clambered into bed.

I said, "where's my coffee and croissant?" - he huffed back downstairs and came back with a very sweet card. My present however was a peppa pig soft toy. Hmmmm... thanks darling.

I've found since having bubba, much of my presents are about her. My valentines card had baby feet on the front, my xmas present was a mini camcorder (more of a boys toy) to video her... don't know how to broach it without offending him.

ohthegoats · 15/03/2015 17:20

Haha, yep my presents have been about her too. When asked what I wanted for my birthday I just said nothing to do with baby shit. I got a puppet. I'm well into puppets normally... ahem.

Been for nice lunch but no mention of mother's day. Not surprised though, his family don't do that sort of stuff. Still up at 7 then spent the day decorating the bathroom. Actually quite a nice change.

sazzlehopes · 15/03/2015 17:39

Thanks all! Well it improved greatly as sending ds2 back to his room and into his bed (he's starting waking far too early) and insisting he stayed there until I said he could come out resulted in him falling back asleep and waking 45 mins later in an approved mood. I then had a beautiful bunch of flowers delivered to the door and discovered a Mother's Day card with a local spa voucher in! Hooray husband done good!!! Just waiting for him to get back with an evil hangover and help put the kids to bed! And lunch at my mum and dads was great so feeling much less sorry for myself Grin

sazzlehopes · 15/03/2015 19:00

And also N can crawl. It is more of a push and propel forward to get what he wants but I am in shock. Ds1 didn't crawl til he was 8 or 9 months... It's all he does now too. Put him down on his back, instant roll over and start pushing forward. I need a baby cage.
