I'm up too, couldn't resist the Jaffa cakes!

Did you go through all this with miniwil wil? Hope your asleep now Flowers

1 bottle down & she's snoozing on my shoulder so time to attempt to get her back in her basket, I have a feeling I may be returning for more jaffas a later!

Minion · 24/02/2015 01:56

I'm l late to the party! And no jaffas? For shame.
I'm going to freaking strangle the startle reflex. Kept me awake for ages trying to hold down her arms. And why isn't it there when she sleeps on me?
Tell me that disappears soon?

ZylaB · 24/02/2015 02:34

juni I've been getting horrible night sweats, it's just not nice!

Well apparently Ewan the dream sheep is amazing! I've put her down after the last 2 feeds with it on and she turns her head towards it and settles without a 45min cuddle! I've had about 3 hours sleep so far tonight which is great! :) she always did like sleepong with her head on my chest so we're using the setting eith a steady 'mummy' heartbeat.

bet I've jinxed it now and it. Never works again lol

cookielove · 24/02/2015 03:23

Omg, he just woke up for milk he did 8hrs with a small wake up 20 mins after he went down! He is back asleep on me but sadly not in a deep sleep! Fx I get him in bed soon.

Also late to the party, sad to have missed the imaginary Jaffa cakes, but I may have just eaten a real life Pot Noodle Grin It was flipping gorgeous! Sometimes at 3am a bloody Go Ahead slice just doesn't cut it!
J went through til 2am as per usual! Odd child. Not complaining though... I'm still wide awake however having gone to sleep at 9:30 Grin Weird actually, I've been sat watching telly on my phone, and J started snuffling and woke up, then popped his thumb in his mouth and dropped back off after about 3 minutes - I think my baby has been secret self soothing!!

JuniDD · 24/02/2015 04:22

Me again. Such a sore throat can hardly breathe. Lovely self-settling J!

willywallace · 24/02/2015 04:31

Hahaha to your late-night pot noodle munching! Ness and Cookie I think you've cracked this sleeping malarkey.

After all my moaning she did 3 1/2 hours which is very near respectable. To my memory Furry, MiniWil was a great sleeper. I'm sure she was doing about 6 or 7 hours by the time she was 6 weeks old, if not more. Although I do have a terrible memory so I may have sugar coated it. She had reflux though and was majorly spewy so I've been through that part before.

I have actual jaffa cake bar things but they're downstairs and frankly I'm fat enough at the minute. Yes to the night sweats although been ok tonight.

willywallace · 24/02/2015 04:32

Oh no Juni! Do you have painkillers?

JuniDD · 24/02/2015 05:14

Somewhere...bit hungry now to take anything and after sorting rivers of green poo just now ready for a sit down.

JuniDD · 24/02/2015 05:16

God she's giving me right evils. Sorry kid, mummy chatting to her friends.

Always mean to reply to people then forget.

willywallace · 24/02/2015 05:43

We're hardly getting any poo. Down to the gaviscon I presume. Am expecting a horrendous explosion sometime soon.

cookielove · 24/02/2015 07:16

He woke up at 6:50! And is looking quite happy! I only really dozed from 4.00 ish but don't feel bad. Fx this is E heading to sleeping through he took 3oz's when he woke up at 3 ish!

Smug mummy spoke too soon - unexpected screaming baby at 5am!! I think my fault coz I didn't burp him after the 2am mega-boob Confused Didn't want to wake him when he'd fallen asleep on the boob - lesson learnt there then! Changed, fed, back down, woken again at 6, but dummy settled him, and he's just woken up at 8 in a marvellous mood Grin I'm feeling slightly less marvellous!

That sounds horrible Juni, get some painkillers down you xx

FurryScoob · 24/02/2015 09:10

DD woke up again at 4 so I cheated & put her in our bed, she dropped off within seconds & I had to wake her up at 7 so I could have a wee. must to pelvic floor exercises

Good to know siblings can be different sleepers, not sure if id go for number 2 if I was guaranteed a return to the 40 hour days at the beginning.

Flowersjuni hope you feel better soon.

Minion · 24/02/2015 09:38

She's back to bloody screaming when bottle comes out of mouth and is doing all she can to not feed.

Though she gave me a big smile when she saw me this morning.
Heart melting

FurryScoob · 24/02/2015 11:42

Is that with the new milk min? Might be giving her belly ache if its heavier than the normal stuff.

When does the hair loss end? I'm loosing handfuls everyday, I'm gonna be bald! Sad

willywallace · 24/02/2015 12:01

Mine came out pretty gradually Furry so maybe yours will be over quickly if it's coming out in clumps!Grin
That sucks Min. Maybe she doesn't like taste of new milk?

I think the doctor thinks I'm mental. She's so nice to me but won't give me the ranitidine which suggests she doesn't really think there's a huge problem. I have to get her weighed and then we're going to try Caribel (no idea if that's how to spell it) which just thickens the milk. Sigh. Maybe I am mental.

Minion · 24/02/2015 16:26

No, that was with the old milk. However I've just given her the new stuff, only drank 60ml and is currently screaming her head off in the husbands arms. I suspect she is knackered as we have just had a sensory intro class and subsequent meltdown in there.
She's so alert that the slightest overstimulation gets her all het up. And this was noise, music and lights.
Thought she'd o'd on the sensory stuff. Looks as though I was right.

In other news we are re-swaddling tonight. Trying out the summer infant ones. Cracking bargains at tkmaxx, 2 for £14, whereas they rrp for £10 each.

I'll see at shit o'clock whether it works or not.

RPopz · 24/02/2015 18:37

Have you tried a swaddle suit min?

willywallace · 24/02/2015 18:42

I keep meaning to order one of those. Hope she's better tonight Min.

Doctor phoned me up and offered the drugs after having a think about it. Hurrah for her not thinking I'm totally bonkers.

willywallace · 24/02/2015 18:53

Just seen the summer ones on amazon for about 12 quid each. Let me know how you find them Min and I'll go to TKMax if they're any good.

RPopz · 24/02/2015 18:54

I think I need a hooya. TMI alert Shock I had like a prickly itchy feeling on my leg/ bum earlier (you know like when you leave a tag in new clothes??) Then later went I went to the loo I had a weird smelly stain in my knickers... but from where I do not know! And then I "passed" something black and lumpy which was either really old poo or really old blood. No idea where it exited iyswim... I'm all paranoid with my bum issues that I've gone and got a fistula or something... Arg.

willywallace · 24/02/2015 19:00

It's unlikely to be old poo as where would it have been hiding? How long since your lochia stopped? Was it a clot?

RPopz · 24/02/2015 19:21

Well I was having a poo... Blush but the rest of the poo was normal looking!! Haha. There was the tiniest smear of ?blood/ something in my pants (in a different place to the miscellaneous goop), I thought it might be my stupid period at first....

Minion · 24/02/2015 19:24

Omg popz! I could have written that exact post today.
Same thing. Thought I had a tag or something stocking in my cs scar. Went loo later and looks like I've come on.
But no pain and nothing since

How weird!?

I'll see how it goes. The velcro is very loud tho, and not sure if she's too long or not. Bought a small/medium and one large for just in case.
Any cop and im stocking up.
