SpottyTeacakes · 12/12/2014 20:33

Alright dr Wink I've had an Indian now to make up for it! And a glass of water [healthy]

halestone · 12/12/2014 22:34

After work tonight we went to a house where they had, put up 100s of Christmas lights and decorations. The ownera have done it to raise money for a local childrens hospice. It was amazing H and my DSD loved it there was so many lights and nativity scenes. The owner also makes wooden cartoon characters which were amazing. H cried when we left to come back home.

WLmum · 12/12/2014 22:47

I'm on the train rather worse for wear after my work Xmas 'lunch'!! DH is working at 7 tomorrow so it's going to be mixed drinks hangover hell for me! Maybe I can't do boob battle tonight!

halestone · 12/12/2014 23:27

Oh No WL, i hope the hangover gods are kind to youThanks

WLmum · 13/12/2014 02:53

Can't sleep!

SpottyTeacakes · 13/12/2014 06:44

I hope you've drunk your body weight in water WL ouch!

WLmum · 13/12/2014 07:10

I have but I still feel dreadful. Drinking is such a bad idea. How long til bedtime?

SpottyTeacakes · 13/12/2014 07:13

Berocca and a sausage sandwich will sort you out. Oh and a brisk walk in the fresh air Smile I don't drink anymore really as I can handle the hangover. Had one night in ny where I had too much wine but didn't feel too bad, the dc make it worse!

utopian99 · 13/12/2014 09:02

What with ongoing pregnancy/bf I haven't been hungover for years now! (Have definitely had a glass of wine here and there though!) My bro swears by berrocca wl. I used to swear by a blt and a sprite. Or a sauna - sweat it out!

halestone · 13/12/2014 09:20

What horrible hangover gods, they could of let you off just this once. I can't eat at all with a hangover and when i start eating its usually only grapes.

MrsNutella · 13/12/2014 10:54

I'm of no help in re hangover department. I've never really had one Confused I sleep really bad when I'm drunk and I feel a but tired and rubbish the next day but not hungover. Sorry - I now sound really smug.

But I hope the DDs are kind to you!

PurplePidjin · 13/12/2014 12:32

Weak tea tends to sort me out when feeling rough, bizarrely even if I can't keep water down Hmm I've a feeling I'll need it tomorrow - off to a 2nd birthday/Christmas drinks party this afternoon at my friends' house which happens to be near a station, then a band I know are playing locally tonight so I have a pass-out from dp :o I don't really do sloshed but might be feeling the Christmas cheer more than usual by tomorrow Wink

Anyone else doing a festive namechange?

halestone · 13/12/2014 15:06

Ha Pidj i can barely remember how to do a name change i do like yours though. Also i hope you have a lovely night.

Nutella i am so Envy that you don't get hangovers. I usually am hugging the toilet from about 5am.

MrsNutella · 13/12/2014 19:03

Nice Pidj! I will if I can come up with something creative enough.

Hales I also stop drinking at a certain point because I don't like to get really really really drunk (only been very drunk a handful of times) and I'll switch to water. That probably helps Wink
Who knows.

DS is still the cutest big brother. He might be a hugely curious, climbing nut of a toddler but he is also very very sweet. DD dribbles and blows bubbles. DS will see that then shout "baby girl sick" and run and grab one of her wipes and throw it at get. Sometimes he sort of wipes her face with it. The other day he wipes her face then started wiping the stuff hanging from her baby gym thing while saying "cleaning" Grin

BarHumbugBeasty · 13/12/2014 19:08

I have when I remember Pidj

I'm exhausted. Both DC have been far too full of energy today. I'm having a very large glass of wine (and hoping no hangover appears!)

SpottyTeacakes · 13/12/2014 19:11

We're going to drusillas tomorrow (it's a zoo with hello kitty land and Thomas the tank engine) to see Father Christmas. We used our clubcard vouchers. Should be good Smile as long as ds stops being so grumpy Hmm

BarHumbugBeasty · 13/12/2014 19:26

That's lovely Nutella

Today A fell off the arm of the sofa, fell down the stairs (don't know how far- I was in the loo) because he was trying to climb them on his ladybird ride on, broke the cat flap between the kitchen & (unheated) conservatory, tried to use the handles of the oven doors as a ladder to get onto the gas hob...

I've sellotaped bubble wrap over both sides of the kitchen door- we don't have a cat and the draft made it cold!! He just punched it out over the last week or so.

utopian99 · 13/12/2014 21:22

Cute nut! And argh beasty!

wl hope you're feeling a bit better?

A is 1 month old today and celebrated by having a horiffic night. O made up for it by being super all day though.. I rather anticipated two under 2 being hell but worth it for the small age gap later, but she says, instantly cursing everything it's been rather lovely so far. 80% of the time at least..

WLmum · 13/12/2014 21:32

I made it through the day!! There was some telly, a trip to the library and a dirty macdonalds for tea.
These days I rarely drink to excess but got v carried away last night. My job can be quite serious and I am a team of one and it can be the case that I only have contact with others when something has gone wrong so I felt it was a good opportunity to get to know people a bit more informally.
T randomly chose today to ask to get nudey (common occurrence) but then ask for the potty and poo on it! I suspect it was a random one off as she hang shown any signs that she's bothered about potty training.
spotty we went there at half term and the dds all absolutely loved it.
Think we're going to sort out rest of Xmas decorations tom.
beasty that sounds all quite stressful.

BarHumbugBeasty · 13/12/2014 21:53

Enjoy it Spotty

All's well that ends in wine WL

The DC are doing a pony ride to Santa tomorrow so I have to fill in a form for A (DD already rides there). Have to put down the weight so they can give an appropriate horse- just realised A could put on 3kg and still be ok in a cabriofix car seat!

SpottyTeacakes · 14/12/2014 06:15

I feel sick Sad

PurplePidjingThroughTheSnow · 14/12/2014 08:29

oh no spotty Sad

SpottyTeacakes · 14/12/2014 09:11

I cancelled and now I feel better. Luckily we hadn't told the dc. I'm really disappointed though Sad
