The season to be jolly also seems to be the season to be germy. Lots of rubbish bugs around. Hope they all feel better soon!

Dd is so much more stubborn than ds and it's driving me mad! Especially since having not dealt with it with ds not sure if I'm using the right strategies and I must admit to sometimes just giving in!!

halestone · 15/12/2014 21:41

Spotty hope Dd is better soonThanks

Beasty i also hope A is better soonThanks

Ddas H is also stubborn it drives me mad. I'm now going with a pick your battles attitude to it or our lives would be a constant fight I have also resorted to bribery.

WLmum · 15/12/2014 22:31

Yup, I'm a combination of pick your battles, bribery and choices - get dressed or go in your cot - seems to work quite well with T.

halestone · 15/12/2014 23:13

Haha WL i recognise that line extremely well. I am also forever getting told off for using it and telling my family to keep out of it.

SpottyTeacakes · 16/12/2014 16:30

Dh is sick now. I really don't want it!!

Barbeasty · 16/12/2014 16:45

We ask A if he wants to go in his cot, even though we turned it into a bed ages ago. He knows what we mean though and makes the right decision!

Fx you "had it" at the weekend Spotty.

MIL said the Dr told her it isn't a chest infection but the virus has set off his asthma. First we've been told about A having asthma!

utopian99 · 16/12/2014 18:39

O saw me wearing A in one of the wraps I haven't used with him since about 14 months and got very excited about being wrapped too. I put him on for a minute as a jolly and now am really worried I've overdone it (only 4.5 weeks post section.) Argh...

MrsNutella · 16/12/2014 18:55

Argh Utopian! I hope you're ok. Although I have found DS wants to be worn if he gets the chance, because I'm always wearing DD.

Spotty fx you've had it. I had a bug yesterday. Fortunately I'm feeling much better today and pretty much recovered this evening. I lost a kilo which I suppose won't stay lost is a bonus. Only two kilos of DDweight to lose then 4 kilos of DS weight leftConfused
I dos very threatening "DS get down/put it back/ stop it/ leave it alone/ other general cheeky behaviour ... Or Mummy will get you down" etc etc. So if he is
Has moved a chair to climb and get something he shouldn't I will grab him off the chair and plonk him on the floor. Then put the chair away while he cries. I do it roughly but I don't hurt him... It sounds really cruel written down. I give him 1,2,3 todo it in and usually at 2 he has stopped.

Barbeasty · 16/12/2014 21:15

Poor A is half waking every time he coughs, and crying- I think it must hurt his throat. He got himself so worked up when I tried to give him his inhaler that his breathing got worse rather than better. I'm hoping it will work now he's asleep and calm.

Just caps off a slightly shitty day, and since DH hasn't even left work yet I don't think it's likely to be a particularly good night.
