Happy belated Birthday H! And all the other little ones I've missed.

Life seems to be happening at a very hectic pace still but it's good. DS has started sleeping at Nursery. DH and I both felt sad leaving him there for longer says; but when I went to pick him up last week he was trying to get under the duvet of a little girl who wasn't there and saying "naigh naigh" he only sleeps an hour there though at the moment so we have a tired and exited DS in the afternoons.

Ddas a check up today. She is right at the top of the chart for length! Shock She is huge for her age in comparison to how big DS was. I can't believe how fast she has grown so big! She is a lovely little podgy thing too. Little sausages arms and legs Grin

SpottyTeacakes · 08/12/2014 21:19

Hales it quiet because I'm not on Wink

Just in the hotel waiting for our car to the airport. Exhausted doesn't come close! Both dd and ds have had chest infections whilst we've been away. We've spent so much money but never mind.

We won't get our tree until Saturday (will get my dad to chop one down) and it will be coordinated Wink

WLmum · 08/12/2014 21:42

Dd1&2 did our tree so it's an explosion! We've got loads more decs to put up when we rescue them from my mums garage. The dds are so excited I don't care that it all looks hideous.
I've started refusing some bfs with a view to stopping completely in the next couple of weeks. I just can't take the night wakings anymore so I'm putting my foot down (and my boobs away!). Her pox has subsided enough now for me to start the plan.
spotty hope u've had an amazing time. Sorry dcs have been poorly.

ISpyPlumPie · 08/12/2014 23:25

Hi everyone. I know it's been ages since I posted but just saw this in active so thought I'd pop on to say hello. Hope everyone is well and that those LOs who've turned two had great birthdays.

WL - I have decided that weaning must occur now too. After five years (with a brief hiatus between DSs and while pg) I need my boobs back! I had earmarked this weekend as am out with work on Friday and staying over, so seemed like a natural break. It did take two nights away with DS1 though, plus he was eight months older, plus my milk had started to change due to pregnancy plus N suddenly seems to be feeding more but despite all this I'm convinced it'll work. Wish me luck - lets face it, I'll need it Grin

MrsNutella · 09/12/2014 07:28

Hello all!

Nice to see you Ispy Smile

So, we took DD to the dr yesterday for her three month ish (ok she is nearly four months) check up. I've been commenting for ages to DH that she is huge and is now fitting into 6-9 month size stuff. Yeah, she is on the top line for length! Shock DS was a similar size at six months!
Well she needs to be big and tough to help deal with DS being very affectionate Grin so it's definitely a good thing!

halestone · 09/12/2014 14:26

Hi Ispy, Grin Thanks

WL, and Ispy i hope weaning goes well for you both.

Spotty how was New York?

Nutella, awww H sounds adorable you'll have to update us with a picture on fb.

We have just been watching Dancing Orangutan on Youtube. H watched a few times then started to copy it was very funnyGrin

SpottyTeacakes · 09/12/2014 15:01

Hi ispy!

Hales it was great thanks but the flight home was awful. I've been on dozens of flights and I've never experienced turbulence like it! So glad to be home just waiting for dh to get dd from school.

halestone · 09/12/2014 15:24

Have the DC seen you yet? I bet they loved the 1st time they saw you both.

SpottyTeacakes · 09/12/2014 16:03

Yep they have. Ds wouldn't talk to me but dd was happy.
Ds is being horrible and I've been awake for 29 hours so really can't be bothered.

halestone · 09/12/2014 16:06

oh no hopefully he'll sleep soon so you can get some sleep. I know its no comfort but its probably just because he missed you.

PurplePidjin · 09/12/2014 17:36

Hi ISpy lovely to hear from you Cake

Glad you had a wonderful time Spotty ds will come around, R is always odd when I've left him for even a couple of hours Brew

Congratulations Mr Pidj Thanks Wine

MrsNutella · 09/12/2014 18:40

Yay Mr pidj! Thanks Very good news.

Barbeasty · 09/12/2014 21:07

Fantastic Pidj

Can everyone keep their fingers crossed that DD feels better tomorrow? She has tonsillitis (since Sunday) and it's her nativity tomorrow. Current plan is to keep her off in the morning and see if they'll let her go in for the play in the afternoon.

Can't wait for A to get his pony ride on Sunday. He'll certainly enjoy it more than swimming in the morning.

WLmum · 09/12/2014 22:50

Awesome news pidj
ispy let's reclaim the breasts! I managed to rebuff a couple of advances today - my plan is to try to push back in the day as much as possible over the next week or so but leave the nights, then when I'm off for Xmas it'll be cold turkey time!

A soon(ish) to be new mum at work today was reading a book about how getting your baby into a routine and not feeding to sleep will result in 7-7 sleep from a few weeks! I opted for 'worth a try!' - she's lovely and it's crap when you get horror stories and advice so I swallowed my 'yeah right'.

WLmum · 09/12/2014 22:51

Wind is picking up here - apparently there's a huge storm a-coming

SpottyTeacakes · 10/12/2014 06:39

WL it's meant to be worse Friday.

Pidj that's great news.

I'm having a horrendous attack of hives. Been going on for three weeks now. In New York my lips went (bigger than a sumo wrestlers) then my tongue. This morning my tongue is swollen right at the back. Their the worst ones not including my hands, fingers, wrists, backs of knees and lower back. I'm feeling v sorry for myself and am going to try get a drs appt this morning Sad

WLmum · 10/12/2014 09:28

spotty that sounds awful.
Wind died down and no sign of a storm.
Dd2s first nativity today - all about baby Grice she tells me (that would be Jesus Grice!). Big tears last night 'I'm the only one in our house that believes in Jesus so I don't have anyone to be in a team with'!!

halestone · 10/12/2014 10:02

Spotty i hope your Dr gives you something that helps with the hives.

WL Jesus Grice sounds adorable haha.

DP got H this morning so i could have an extra half hour alone in bed it was brilliantGrin Still struggling to keep my eyes open though.

SpottyTeacakes · 10/12/2014 10:20

Ds has just been sick everywhere. The sofa, the carpet and the kitchen, himself and my feet. He had raspberries earlier too. I'm too tired to deal with this! Hopefully he will have a long nap...

WLmum · 10/12/2014 10:22

I know how you feel hales. I'm done in so while T is asleep (exhausting trip to the park after school drop offs) I'm slumped on the sofa with coffee, biscuits and homes under the hammer! Come join me Brew

WLmum · 10/12/2014 10:23

Oh no spotty. There's room for you here too.

SpottyTeacakes · 10/12/2014 10:39

I've got dark chocolate digestives. I may well eat the whole pack!

MrsNutella · 10/12/2014 10:51

I've been to my post pregnancy fitness class. Now I'm feeding DD on the sofa. I want to go for a walk to post some parcels but there is no rush. I'm waiting in for a parcel too ....

Ill joking you on the sofa WL. but dd has a bit of a cold so we might all need to take turns cuddling her because she will allow nothing less

MrsNutella · 10/12/2014 10:52

*join you Confused

Spotty dark chocolate digestives are the very very best! Please can I have some??
