can we have a quilt on our couch or is that taking it too far? And 1st dibs on cuddling H i love newborn snuggles.

I hope H's cold goes soon and F is feeling better.

SpottyTeacakes · 10/12/2014 12:35

Yes you can have biscuits and even share my blanket. I just slept 90 minutes when ds did Blush

halestone · 10/12/2014 13:46

Envy Envy Envy Envy haha Spotty.

SpottyTeacakes · 10/12/2014 18:49

Phew ds in bed. Hopefully no more sick Hmm the dr prescribed me non drowsy string antihistamines and an epi pen and has referred me to the allergy clinic. I've had allergy testing before though and it's all been negative. Have a feeling it will turn out I'm allergic to myself Grin

Barbeasty · 10/12/2014 20:31

FX for no more sick Spotty. And for getting to the bottom of the hives.

DD made it to her nativity. We dropped her off at the end of lunchtime and got roped into putting out the chairs and helping the children get changed. In return I got 2 seats in the front row. Must work out how to volunteer next year!

But we got to take the DC home early and DD was asleep in the car by 3pm- despite being dosed up, so another day with granny tomorrow.

A got to watch the nursery nativity rehearsal today. Apparently he clapped after each song. He's putting together much longer sentences too. 4 words today.

MrsNutella · 10/12/2014 22:34

Awwww Beasty I bet she really enjoyed it. Hope she feels better soon.

You have reminded me though. DS came out with an amazing sentence at the weekend "oh dear, digga all gone" there is a little building site near us and every time we drove past he liked to see the digger. But they weren't there on Sunday.

He seems to have had a little speech leap recently. Lots of parroting going on too. Awww it's so cute. but we have to watch what we say

SpottyTeacakes · 11/12/2014 09:54

No more sick but lots of cuddles Smile

I've finished my Christmas shopping now just need to finish wrapping. Hopefully get the tree soon my dad said he's only got six foot ones Grin

Nutella that's so sweet. Ds is still on one word at a time but he knows green and blue when asked what colour his tractors/cars are

Beasty poor dd I probably missed it what's she got? This time of year is always the worst for us with illness.

halestone · 11/12/2014 10:19

Beasty well done to Dd, i will also remember your tip so i can get front row seats when H is older.

Spotty i've wrapped everything, apart from the things i have to make up on christmas eve. And i just need to buy my grandad a present but have no idea what to get him.

Nutella how is Dd today?

SpottyTeacakes · 11/12/2014 10:23

I bought my grandad a you to me book. He's filling it in and said it's only for me and my sisters to read. I can't wait Smile

SpottyTeacakes · 11/12/2014 10:24

Last year I mean. This year my extended family have all got chocolates as money is tight!

halestone · 11/12/2014 10:43

my mum brought my nan one of them last year as well, shes filling it in but no one is allowed to read it until shes dead.

PurplePidjin · 11/12/2014 12:27

Hurrah for no more vom!

R chewed the spouty bits off his sippy cups, I saved the cups and drilled holes in the bottoms, let R loose with silver and gold permanent markers and popped some soil and a narcissus bulb in each one. R refers to them as "mess" because of the state of the kitchen once we were done!

His sentences are generally food related - Dikdik (biscuit) peese mummy or More mik peese mummy (in his tea, he likes it cold!) he also demands we sit down on the sofa instead of doing jobs which is pretty cute Wink

Tonsillitis (again) Spotty. She's been better today (apparently), but frail and not really eaten. We're wavering towards keeping her off tomorrow so she is fully better for next week. So hard! I'd have sent her into nursery because she could sleep all day, much harder when she's expected to work!

SpottyTeacakes · 11/12/2014 16:56

Just had dd's parents evening. She's generally doing well. Really good at reading and phonics, not so good at writing but really improving (this is to do with her muscular problems), rubbish at art but loves dressing up and role play and is happy to ask for help.

PurplePidjin · 11/12/2014 16:57

"I did it" comes out as "Ah tits"

i am almost prouder of that than the stuff he says properly Blush

Maryland2013 · 11/12/2014 17:28

Spotty tell us more about New York- what did you do where did you go?

SpottyTeacakes · 11/12/2014 17:37

We did loads but not everything I wanted to!

Saw Aladdin on Broadway
Radio city Christmas spectacular
A dinner and comedy/burlesque show
911 memorial
Staten Island ferry/statue of liberty
Walked the Brooklyn bridge
Top of the rock
Macy's
Grand central station
New York public library
Fifth avenue shopping
Central Park
Walked the high line (well a bit, it was bloody freezing!)
Times Square (obv)
Umm I think that's it!

Maryland2013 · 11/12/2014 17:40

Sounds fab! You packed loads in :)

I love the library and the views of the park from top of the rock are amazing!

Hope the poorly little ones get well soon, it's one cold/ virus after another in our house, sigh.

utopian99 · 11/12/2014 18:55

Sounds awesome spotty - I'd love to get to the high line. Have been to NY in summer but would love to do a family holiday near Christmas too..

Love "ah tits" pidj!

O had his settling-in at the montessori this morning. It went really well I think, so we'll see how we go in January. Got his uniform (well, smock and shoes) so it all seems rather grown up suddenly!

ISpyPlumPie · 11/12/2014 21:20

Wow that sounds like an amazing trip Spotty. Hope the hives are better soon.

Glad DD made her nativity Beasty. DS1 had his yesterday - he made an excellent talking chicken if I do say so myself. It's a bulge year so they had to use a bit if artistic licence about which animals were in the stable to make sure everyone got a part. I told him that the chickens must have just wondered off in the picture in his school bible Grin.

Congratulations on the job Mr Pidge.

halestone · 11/12/2014 22:55

Maryland i hope your Ds is better soon.

Spotty that does sound amazing its on my to do list nowGrin

Awww Utopian, i bet he looks beautiful in his uniform.

Ispy and Beasty you both have me excited to see H in her nativity plays now.

Pidj Grin i love it.

WLmum · 12/12/2014 07:26

Loving 'ah tits' - capture it on video.

I think I might be ready for the battle. 'Twas up and down like a yo-yo last night and enough is enough. DH and I agreed that I'll do tonight and sat which will be the worst but he has to work sat and sun and he'll do sun night as he's off mon and I'll be working.

WLmum · 12/12/2014 07:29

Had to get an extra early train to work this morning as something kicked off yesterday. Yawn. This aft is our Xmas lunch - would really rather not go but feel that I have to. Large glass of wine for me tonight

SpottyTeacakes · 12/12/2014 15:54

Ds was sick again this morning at my parents. They'd phoned and texted me etc but they know I don't get signal at work it's not like they don't know my work number Hmm it was dd's nativity this afternoon and dh wouldn't take any time off work so I had to take ds with me Blush he hasn't been sick since this morning but I feel bad. Pissed off with dh tbh. I've been at work all morning, picked up sick ds, gone to nativity, got home made dc some toast now I'm waiting for the food shopping which I will need to put away. All I've had since 6:30am is one cup of coffee. He is definitely buying me a take away tonight.

PurplePidjin · 12/12/2014 17:46
