Ooh Inge to start a new thread. So if the last one was the one where they don't sleep, then they'll start to sleep now, yes?

I go back to work next Weds Kitty. DS started properly today. Full day today, tomorrow and Friday. I've just done a lovely yoga class and am using the next few days to have lunches, get hair cut etc. miss DS though. Sad

pear definitely want to hear all TTC details! I'm beginning to accept that I will do it all again but not yet!

Any resource info you have I'd appreciate bring. I did kegels really well during pregnancy and after. I've slacked off a bit in recent months but not completely. I think I focused on my vaginal and anal areas, because that's where I felt it after childbirth, so maybe I didn't do enough strengthening at the front. I didn't have any issues until I'd been coughing for a few days.

Well we have had about 2 monthsof non stop illness!!! I have to have a break somewhere don't i!! If they girls didn't sleep on top I might be at suicide watch right now GrinWink
I didn't take offence at the diet suggestion bring, if it's something that might cause issue I'd rather track down and eliminate but in this case we are pretty sure it's a virus now particulally as me my mum and brother in law have all had mouth ulcers too I the last 2 weeks, kittens are awful though, huge like the size of teeth and on her tongue behind lips top and bottom even on the roof of her mouth Hmm it hasn't put her off one meal though!! She surly does love her food!! Lol

I started a CBT course tonight. I didn't speak to anyone. I barely even looked up from the floor the entire time. I did notice, though, that the Canadian lady leading it looked an awful lot like bring. That cheered me up! Grin I'll probably go to the other 2 sessions. I'll run screaming from the room if they try to make me do breathing exercises or focus on my feet though. They mentioned them as possible calming techniques today & I nearly laughed out loud! Blush I sniggered in my antenatal classes when they made us do things like that. I spent most of the session watching a fly crawling around on the floor. It was more of a 'walk' than a 'fly' really. I think I saw it fly once. I was very concerned when it crawled near someone's foot. I nearly shouted at her not to move in case she squashed it! I was paying attention too, honest! I can just concentrate better if I'm not looking at the person who's talking! I can't really see it being of much use to me. It's a fairly basic intro into CBT theory with ideas such as 'breathe slowly' & 'make time for yourself'. Revolutionary. Hmm Still, they send a letter to my GP to say I've done it so I can at least prove I'm trying/want to get better! There's also the potential for one-to-one sessions. That's more likely to be of some use to me. In the group they were talking about how work is a big source of anxiety & how much they enjoy socialising to relieve the tension. Not much I can relate to there! I spent the entire time rotating my pen inside its lid or twirling my hair. Stopped me running out of the room or having another panic attack though! Had an awful meltdown last night at the prospect of a meeting to discuss shutting down the one thing I can actually bring myself to leave the house for each week. I didn't go in the end but my feelings are well known & my friend text me afterwards to say there was the possibility of keeping it open if we can find a few more volunteers in the next week. She seemed to expect me to be thrilled that they're prolonging the agony. We've been looking for volunteers for the last 2 years. I doubt a week will make any difference. Sad

I seem to have forgotten how to use paragraphs... Blush

How's everyone's viruses? Runt's simultaneous cold/teething seems to be resolving now. He had 2 teeth come through on Sunday & his nose isn't quite so bad but he's still got a cough. My cough is horrible. It's the really tickly kind that just doesn't get any relief no matter how much you cough! Angry DH has got it too & keeps complaining of excessive salivation. Poor Runt went through about 6 tops on Saturday with his dribbling. We put it down to the teeth but maybe it was the same thing DH has got! I'm drinking a lot of warm elderflower cordial to help. It's supposed to be as good as honey & lemon & just tastes of summer! Grin

Calf doesn't seem to have got it yet... He's far too busy catapulting himself off sofas or running head-first into the radiator. He currently has 2 parallel bruises almost right from his hairline to his eyebrow radiator, one of which has a newer purple circle on top of it sofa dive. I put arnica on the radiator bumps but in the 2.5 seconds it took me to cross the room they were already purple & disturbingly swollen! He's determined to look awful come Runt's dedication on Sunday!

Not sure I mentioned but Runt went on a nursing strike last week & I thought that was it for bf for us. Sent him to my mum Friday night for the first time & Sunday morning he fed for 10 minutes! Grin He's been feeding more since I abandoned him for 24 hours than he was before the nursing strike! This morning he woke at about 7, came into bed with me & fed back to sleep. He stayed asleep for about half an hour before just opening his eyes & grinning at me! So cute!

kittykatsforever · 25/05/2014 07:17

Party day for us today and both chimps are still asleep! That makes 3 days in a row they've gone till after 7! Believe me this is unusual, when onesies you can guarantee the other isn't, ahhh there's goes tigers door! Grin

bringonthetrumpets · 25/05/2014 21:46

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! We are having such great weather and it's been so blissful. Finally got the veg garden planted and some landscaping done. Feeling like a homesteading woman. Roar!

That is really odd that they've put in you a group CBT, agnu. That's just stressful for even the most outgoing person. I hope you are able to get in with a 1 on 1 soon. It's much more beneficial for those like you and me so that you feel like you can open up more. I'm honored that you thought of me during your session! Grin Also glad that the nursing strike has ended! Don't we have another birthday from this little guy who decided to make his arrival in an ambulance?

Yay for sleeping in kitty!

Well kittens party was a sucsess!!Grin How was Runts Agnu? I saw the cake on fb, did you make it? It was fab! I had to make an impromptu cake for kitten due to a misunderstanding with the cake makerConfused it wasn't as good as yours!!
Kitten enjoyed herself and was good as gold, she's still asleep now and she's never slept this long before! She was in bed at 7!! It's killing tiger, she's been up since 6:30 and keeps looking at all the presents and bringing them to me, "I think this one is yours mummy" " I think this one might be mine" bless her Grin I won't let her touch them till the sleepers awake
We still have lurgey,I've now woken to another f&£@in cold saw and kitten still has ulcers and her thumb is really bad, covered in blisters I'll try and post a pic if it's not healed overnight by some miracle

Runt's birthday isn't actually for another 2 weeks but we had a joint dedication & birthday party! Yes, I made the cake. I'd been planning it for months & working on the animals for about 2 months! My mum's a professional cake maker but she refuses to make them for me. Makes them for all my nieces though! She says my cakes are better than hers. Hmm They're not, perhaps approaching a similar standard but definitely not as good! I was particularly pleased with how this one came out given that I had to change several things at the last minute. We couldn't find a cake board big enough for my original plan so I had to make it smaller & leave off the farmhouse I'd planned. It left me with a dilemma about where to put the candle because that was originally supposed to go in the house's chimney. I rather unceremoniously plonked it right in the centre of the cake just before lighting it so everyone got to see the cake first!

We had a really fab day. Awful night the night before though - Calf refused to go to sleep until 2am! We put Runt down for half an hour between the church service & the party starting & then offered the cot to Calf but he refused. DPILs ended up coming back to ours after the party & staying for dinner to help us use up the ridiculous quantities of leftovers that's after palming 8 portions of rice salad off on my parents & freezing vast quantities of sandwiches, sausage rolls & chicken drumsticks for our foodbank! & Calf had a complete meltdown after nearly falling asleep at the dinner table! I was desperate for them to leave so we could get him to bed! Poor child! He tried to fight it when we put him up but was asleep within 20 minutes! DH & I fell asleep watching the TV at about 9pm, woke at 4am & crawled up to bed & didn't wake up until the DC woke us at 8.15! Very much needed that! DH swore it was going to be the start of us getting into a better routine... ... Clearly that hasn't happened! No idea what he's doing right now but I'm ignoring him after he agreed not to try & cut the grass today & look after the kids because I was falling asleep on the sofa again... He waited until I was asleep before sneaking out & doing it anyway while Calf was running around. Dinner was 2 hours late as a result, hence why we're still up now. I was furious. I love that he does things around the house but I'm fed up of the housework being more important to him than my sanity or the DC's routine. It's ridiculous. Angry

The CBT people like everyone to start off on the group course, I guess because that'll weed out the people who do only need to learn to count to ten & breathe slowly & then they can focus on the rest of us individually. I hate it though. This week I'm going to remember to take a bottle of water with me. Last time I had to wait ages for people chatting in the kitchen to leave & by the time I'd manage to safely get into the kitchen without the possibility of anyone talking to me they were ready to restart! I've no idea when I'll be able to find time to do any individual sessions though. I can't imagine they do those in the evenings. I can't ask DH to take advantage of his flexi-time at work. He'd end up working even more hours than necessary because he feels guilty when he's not there 24-7! Hmm I don't feel I can really ask anyone else to have Calf on a regular basis either - he's just such a handful! Sad

bring What have you planted? I'm mostly focusing on getting perennial herbs in this year but have a few annual herbs too - I'm building up my natural remedies stash! Fennel & lemon balm tea is delicious & soothing! We call it fennel-balm! That & elderflower cordial are all I drink these days. I'm stuck with shop-bought cordial until at least next year but we do have a little elder growing in our garden now!

kitty umm... stop being ill. Do as you're told. Wink

Cake for everyone - we have plenty! Grin

kittykatsforever · 27/05/2014 08:23

Sounds like the party was a sucsess Agnu, you are very talented at cakes, could you do that as a sideline or does it demand to much time? Don't know what's going on with the girls sleeping, both 8 this morning too Shock we bought kitten her first pair of shoes yesterday and they are the cutest things, still no unaided steps yet though although we do have a word!!! She says more lol trust a greedy baby to learn that first!
She also tries to sing with tiger when she sings frozen, it's pretty adorable, just noises and baby talk but it's only when she sings and everytime Grin
Frus, good luck today with his hearing. I really hope he aces it for you so that's a worry gone x

bringonthetrumpets · 27/05/2014 17:42

Aww, sounds like you've got a beautiful musical show free of charge at your home kitty ! I love little kids' singing voices. It just shows that they are happy and content when they sing. Haha! I love the first word!

That's really tough angu when you gotta get the kids in bed and everything is just going tits up. I totally understand how hard it is to find something to watch the kids so that you can go and do something like this. It seems selfish, but it's an investment in yourself so that you can feel better so that the whole family can feel better. Maybe this is something that your husband should get some time off work to help you out with? Are there any youngsters in your church who could watch the boys for a bit while you go? Or even the old birds love kids too, that's always another option. I know it seems like they are a handful but kids act completely different with people other than their parents. It's a temporary thing, and could require some rearranging, but if you feel like individual sessions could be beneficial, please consider taking them. I can honestly say that it's helped in so many, many ways that I finally just went and got help. There are things I learned that I still use when I feel like things are going out of control and I'm heading down that spiral. Just some things to think about. HUGS for you!

I planted annuals. I built the garden boxes (hear me ROAR!) and hauled the black topsoil with compost and planted. Now DH will have to help me weed or he isn't allowed to eat anything out of that box. I put in onions, tomatoes, peppers, bush green beans, summer squash and courgettes, lettuces, carrots, beets, and cucumbers. Oh, and two garlic cloves that started sprouting in the cupboard. I figured if they put out that much energy to start sprouting, they deserve to go into the garden box. Grin

Good luck on the hearing test frus! Hope it goes well (and baby frus' rash goes away!).

Good news on the hearing frus.

All these parties for first birthdays! We've a few weeks yet but can't believe it's coming up.

bringonthetrumpets · 28/05/2014 03:58

I have two 5 ftx 5ft boxes. I definitely did not follow the planting instructions and they are all crammed in there. Next year I will have build a few more boxes as there were still a few things that I didn't get to plant due to lack of space!

So crazy that I have a WALKING 11 month old! She has just totally mastered the art now. My earliest out of the 3.

bringonthetrumpets · 28/05/2014 03:58

Good news on the hearing. Hopefully it's just a case of being very distracted. It's so hard to get a 1 year old to do anything, let alone sit still for a hearing exam.

peardrop2 · 28/05/2014 18:15

Walking 11 month old? Seriously? Shock Wow!

Bpear is now 1 and standing, still prefers crawling Smile Just brought him his 1st pair of shoes. Wanted to get pre walkers for a special occasion but his feet are already size 4 so we have to to straight into shoes Grin

peardrop2 · 28/05/2014 18:16

Anyone else had the 1st year jabs yet? So glad it's over!

No. We are going to delay the rest of the jabs on the schedule until she starts preschool.

Size 4 Shock

peardrop2 · 28/05/2014 22:30

Frus, why avoid MMr jab out of interest?

Bring, is that what they do over there? Delay the jabs.

I know size 4 Shock He's tall though so the big feet balance him Grin He's on the 75th

Some people delay or decide to not get them done. Just depends on the individual. I feel like she's just gone through SO many vaccinations over the past year, her little immune system needs to just develop on its own and have a break from all the interventions. We are taking a break from Montessori school for the summer so it seems pointless since they are having minimal exposure for the next few months. DS1and2 both got it done when they were aged 3.5, and it felt better waiting. Good call, frus If you think he's not well, the vaccinations are not a good idea. They can really mess stuff up.
