Ooh Inge to start a new thread. So if the last one was the one where they don't sleep, then they'll start to sleep now, yes?

I go back to work next Weds Kitty. DS started properly today. Full day today, tomorrow and Friday. I've just done a lovely yoga class and am using the next few days to have lunches, get hair cut etc. miss DS though. Sad

pear definitely want to hear all TTC details! I'm beginning to accept that I will do it all again but not yet!

Omg I would so love to have been a fly on the wall bring lol sounds like he deserved it and it will make you smile for a long time to come ha ha
Sounds like little m has got herself so overtired she doesn't know what to do with herself Hmm the only time kitten has woken up has been when she's not had enough sleeping the day, I can't remember have you ever used CIO or do you not agree with that?

peardrop2 · 17/05/2014 19:01

Oh bring Shock wow! You go girl Smile The thought of you throwing water did make me chuckle! You must feel exhausted Hmm I'm feeling it too at the moment, bpear is waking in the night screaming for no reason. He's extra clingy and I can only hope he grows out of it in the next few days. I've got really bad mouth ulcers so I must be run down. Nothing like what you're going through though with M waking every hour Sad I hope she gives you a break this weekend! It's not teeth is it?

So, I know I've talked about grow bags last summer but is everyone on 1 tog yet? I brought bpear a new 1 tog bag today and it feels pretty thin. He's wearing it tonight and I just hope that he doesn't get cold because our heating is now off. He's also wearing a short sleeve vest & baby grow (one of his thinner ones). Hmmm.

Pear we used a 1tog last night for the first time and kittens in a short sleeved short leg romper thing, her room is in the sun last thing at night and it was 28 in the room, 21 in the morning, I was abit worried it was maybe gona make her arms cold but she seems fine!
I'm going to suggest you keep looking in baby pears mouth pear, I had mouth ulcers I don't know if you remember I had a few mouth ulcers a few weeks ago and thought I was run down but the tiger had a mouth full, I thought the same but she was also off her food understandably, not herself and temp, she has them on her tongue and all behing hers lips, it's horrible I felt like a shot mum like it's my fault she's so run down or in not feeding her well enough, well yesterday I noticed something on kittens tongue and had a look ( she's not been off her food) right enough she has 3 on her tongue, 3 on her lower lip and a massive one at the top Hmm it's obviously a virus or hand foot and mouth going around although I've never known one that gives you such bad mouth ulcers!
( the only silver cloud is a feel its less my fault or worried she was probe to get massive outbreaks her whole life) I did read online about natural causes as took tiger to the doctors and there's nothing you can do/ give just wait for them to heal and they mentioned Vegemite or marmite, aparently it stings like anything but the pain stop and they heel very quickly! Makes sence because it's full of b vitamins which can stop them and can change the ph balance of your mouth, yogurt vey good too but kitten was very clingy yesterday which is why I'd suggest particulally with what you've just said Hmm

peardrop2 · 18/05/2014 08:07

What Shock Hmm Shock Off I run to check bpear!

peardrop2 · 18/05/2014 08:15

Lol impossible task! I can't see anything obvious but I barely get a chance with Mr wiggle so who knows! His tongue looks clear I think. I'll keep an eye out Hmm I've never heard of such virus! Kitty I had forgotten about your ulcers. I will defo give Marmite a try! I went to bed at 10pm and he woke me up at 6am. Honestly feel shattered. I just don't feel that is normal? I did wake up at 4ish because my body was used to waking in the night so it wasn't a peaceful sleep but it wasn't bad either. Perhaps this virus comes with tiredness?!?!

peardrop2 · 18/05/2014 08:17

Oh and we used 1 tog last night too and he was fine so I will continue with that then. Good to know you're doing the same kitty Smile

peardrop2 · 18/05/2014 08:34

Gargling salt helps too doesn't it Hmm

AGnu · 18/05/2014 08:38

Runt woke at 11, 2 & 3 last night! I think he was too hot so we took him out of his sleeping bag & I was just going to cuddle him for a couple of minutes but he fell straight to sleep on me! After about 20 minutes I managed to roll him off onto the bed & there he stayed until 7.30! It's the first time in ages that we co-slept & possibly the first time ever that we slept cuddled up so close! Well, he slept... I took ages to get back to sleep & then woke up every time he moved! I'm exhausted! And have a nasty cold brewing. Woe is me! Worth it for the snuggles though! Grin

peardrop2 · 18/05/2014 09:02

Oooooo I had that filling in the week and my mouth was numb for ages where the 2 ulcers are now. It might be linked to that! I'm so forgetful Hmm

kittykatsforever · 18/05/2014 09:28

Gargling salt help too yes but obviously little ones can't do that, it could also be linked to your filling as toucan get ulcers from biting your check etc it just rung alarm cells whenyousaidhed been clingy and you had ulcers all of a sudden it took me a good few days of tiger being off herfoidto notice them Hmm

Lorelei353 · 18/05/2014 14:01

Miserable colds and coughs all round here too. The joys of starting nursery (which went really well on DS' first full three days). Lots of ill co-sleeping too

peardrop2 · 18/05/2014 15:14

Not fun Hmm

Uh oh. We seem to be experiencing shorter after naps recently. Nooooooo! Please don't take nap time away from me. Too soon Hmm I can't handle 30 min naps!!

peardrop2 · 18/05/2014 18:58

GeeZ. Why r men so clueless?!?!!! My DH is outside banging away at god knows what right below bpears bedroom and I'm trying to settle him. Grrrrrrrrrr!!!

peardrop2 · 18/05/2014 19:00

I think he's cleaning the front door. Any other time would be great. If I explode he will say "I'm always in the wrong, can't do anything right". Does this sound familiar? Grin

Yes I'm always grateful for the help...just not when it's noisy at 7pm :-)

bringonthetrumpets · 20/05/2014 00:00

I'm convinced men just live in their own little bubble worlds and it's a rare thing that they have foresight on what kind of impact their actions may have on things/people outside of their little bubble world. How did this part of our species manage to survive this long? Actually, why haven't women figured out how to make children on our own by now?

I so totally feel your pain frus We had a very long week of extra shifts as well. It's exhausting. I hope you get a break sooooooon!!

Do you think it would be possible to combine naps into a longer one in the afternoon pear? M has pretty much dropped the morning nap and is now just taking a 2 hour one in the afternoon.

Vitamin D drops for everyone! It will help to boost the immune system with all these nasty colds getting passed around nursery.

The initial outbreaks of cold sore viruses is usually the worst and has a lot of extra systems that affect the whole body. As kids immune systems get used to keeping the virus in check, the symptoms and outbreaks tend to become more mild. There are also foods that tend to cause changes in body chemistry that provoke more outbreaks (ie, sugar, "white" foods).

We are in teething hell right now with M. HELP.

peardrop2 · 20/05/2014 06:58

You would think with all the heat we've been getting over here that vitamin D is at it's peak Wink

kittykatsforever · 20/05/2014 07:36

I've made sure both kids see the sun for a while before I've slathered them in cream to boost their bit d and they are both on vitamins at the mo, it's hand foot and mouth they've got as we've found a big sore/ulcer on kittens thumb too Hmm she was a right misery guts yesterday on her bday, just feel so bad! Tiger diet could definatly do with refining abit but as much as I moan about others giving kitten things she's actually got a really healthy diet, she loves fruit and I make all her food she very rarely even has a rusk and puddings are either yoghurt or fruit, the only time she's had chocolate or cake have been birthdays or Easter on a one off, the only thing I'd like to change but know I can't is that she loves juice Hmm tiger only ever had water until she was about 2, still loves it now but will have a juice if we go to party's or out and we havnt got her flask, kitten just won't drink it, she has a sip then realises what it is and won't have any more or dribbles it out, I still persist but this was even before she's tried juice, it was clear she's not a fan then she's managed to get hold of drinks of squash at my mums that the others have left lying around or a fruit shoot at my sisters and she will not let you take it off her, she loves it, I mean absolutely loves it Confused

peardrop2 · 20/05/2014 08:21

Oh kitty I'm sorry I lost track of the days! Happy belated birthday to Kitten! Did she have a lovely day despite being a bit poorly? What did you get up to? The sun was shining Smile I don't think you should feel too bad about the water situation. I can imagine that happening to lots of families with DC2. They're introduced to these things early because of the places and people DC1 is with... It will happen with lots of other things too as time goes on. All part of family life so don't feel bad Wink

peardrop2 · 20/05/2014 08:30

Bring - i don't think bpear is ready to drop the morning nap because he's waking too early Hmm He woke up at 5:30am this morning. If he woke up later then we wouldn't need it. It was very light this morning so I'm guessing that is why we had to endure an early start

kittykatsforever · 20/05/2014 12:37

Kitten wakes at 7 or just before usually and still has asleep too, she definatly still needs it as is a right grump otherwise, when she's droped one it's been the afternoon but they are the days she sleeps badly at night Hmm last night was good though thank god, neither child woke up so I feel better and she's less of a misery because she's slept well too, we went to trentham monkey Forrest pear, it was nice because the sun was atleast shining Grin

Lorelei353 · 20/05/2014 13:39

What I wouldn't give for a baby who slept through the night. Sad

In other wonderful news, my current miserable cough has informed me that my pelvic floor is not quite as recovered as I thought Blush

OP posts:
bringonthetrumpets · 20/05/2014 14:58

Well the increase in sunlight will definitely help to boost things! We are super deficient just in general at this latitude though unfortunately. Sad

OOPS Lor! Blush. Do you have resources at hand for pelvic floor exercises? (Besides just kegels)? Let me know if you want any, I can msg you on FB.

Awh. Poor little lady kitty! Hope it clears up for her soon. I meant no shame or lecturing with diet. It's just a general thing that we tell all mums who are dealing with this virus.

Oh {yawn} Pear! M woke up at that time this morning too.

Enjoy the lovely weather! We are finally finally getting a break in the rain and cold weather for the same temps/conditions that you are having over there! YAY!!
