Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
BigPigLittlePig · 24/01/2014 20:18

Oh oh oh, and I weighed myself! When I had an appt in clinic in july, I was 56kg ish, today I was 58.3.

PurplePidjin · 24/01/2014 20:25

Haribo at drop off bp?

I'm an sen ta type so can provide back up in class Wink

R has been extra clingy today, think he's reacting to his new independence Sad I'm shattered after work - my mum had him here and got him up when he woke so he had an hour of brightly lit playtime 9:30-10:30pm and then he was coughing (only woke me) at 4 then up for the day at 6 AngryHmmSad

flouncymcflouncerson · 24/01/2014 20:53

How is j now vq asleep hopefully?? Mine isn't... No surprise there though. We have just had a dominos delivered and it smells amazing but I haven't eaten any yet as waiting for DH to manage to get an asleep then we can munch on dairy filled pizza without j getting ill!

My MIL has just called, we've been harping on at her to get her eyes tested for quite some time as she's had the same glasses for around 9 years!! She had it done today and has cataracts in both eyes, optician said she needed to come back as he couldn't of all the test or something but she couldn't get an appoint for a month! I've said to DH to make her go elsewhere instead. Should she be driving?! She mentioned something about not being allowed to or able to after the test possibly but for now hasn't considered stopping?!

PetiteRaleuse · 24/01/2014 21:18

Arse bollocks and wankery. I kept LO up late after a late nap. Wanted to give her full dose of antibiotics over 12 hours rather than drag it out over 11 days. (Am particular and anal about these things, ignore.)

Anyway, dosed her up on nurofen and decided to give the powder suspension amoxycillin thing a good shake, as per instructions. Was the lid closed? Was it buggery. My kitchen, living room, dog, daughters and myself are now covered in it.

It's sticky once it dries.

Reminds me of milk

Fortunately was given two bottles so will not run out over the weekend unless I am a monumentally stupid twat twice in 48 hours so will phone for a prescription on Monday.

It's gross. And smells. It's in my hair. And the girls found the drug shower hilarious so are not for settling.

GTbaby · 24/01/2014 21:39

Aibu? To be annoyed that mil asked if A is now totally ff and have I stopped bf? Now to an outsider this is a simple question. I ff feed when out. But mil lives with me! I mean wtf.
Spoke to FH about it and told him its proof of how much she avoids spending time with the boys and me , if she hasn't seen me bf in the last week.

ValiumQueen · 24/01/2014 21:40

Sorry PR but that made me chuckle. Lucky you getting 10 days worth. Although I thought the suspension had to be chucked after a week? J has 5 days worth. Usually he needs a second course.

Thank you for asking about J. He is much better today. Not had a temp since 11.30am. Needing meds for pain though. He is asleep next to me, snoring like his daddy. DD2 is rough. Poor thing wanted to get in bed with me too so at one point we had a J sandwich as she snuggles into him and he snuggles into me. If it were not so bloody uncomfy I could have stayed like that for ever Smile

I asked DH to bring an easy meal home. He brings a supermarket Indian meal that needs things added every 3 minutes, stirred, water added, stirred, rested, stirred. Fuckwit!!!!!!!!!

Did I tell you he took DD2 to nursery with a temp of 38.5? He had given her PCM but she usually runs at 36 so was clearly ill. I had stayed with J in bed as I was up until 4 and he had taken both girls before work which was impressive for him. But I would have rather she had stayed home. I was off anyway.

I had an awesome dream this morning about my ex-boss. I have been feeling guilty all day GrinBlush

ValiumQueen · 24/01/2014 21:45

Flouncy perhaps ask her how she would feel if she killed a cyclist?

GT YANeverBU when it comes to that woman.

Pass, your P is just fab Smile

BP red bull before drop off?

PetiteRaleuse · 24/01/2014 21:47

Yeah I was given two bottles to last ten days. Will have to ask for a third. I do the water mixing myself. The second bottle is still just powder.

FatimaLovesBread · 24/01/2014 21:49

flouncy When my mum had cataracts, she went to the opticians first and they referred her to her gp who referred her for the cataract removal. Maybe get her to make a gp appointment?

PetiteRaleuse · 24/01/2014 21:49

38.5 and above is my nursery's limit. Officially. But they say unofficially that 38.0 in the morning is too high as it'll only go up in the afternoon.

Passmethecrisps · 24/01/2014 21:59

A J sandwich sounds lovely!

I am swithering over whether p is ill-ill or just teeth and MMR ill. The sleeping on the rug thing was awesome cute but weird. She cried and cried when I got home and DH said she refused all her dinner. Then she ate a whole packet of organix crisp things, some twiglets Hmm and frozen banana slices. After that she ran around like a crazy nutter before having a solid poo. Weird weird weird. DH is just telling me now that she had three solid hours of whining and then occasions of hard crying.

BigPigLittlePig · 24/01/2014 21:59

Probably she can't drive after the 2nd as they plan to dilate her pupils which makes you vision really shit for a few hrs. If her vision with glasses is sufficient to read a no.plate at however many metres you have to in adriving test these days, then she is ok driving in the meantime.

Glad J is getting better vq.

PR I'm afraid I had quite a loud a little chuckle at your misfortune. Sounds v messy indeed.

I am in bed, the cat is seemingly asleep on my legs. But I can hear him quietly farting Envy

ValiumQueen · 24/01/2014 22:02

We are not trusted to add the water over here.

Pass it does sound more MMR or teeth than proper poorly. J was off for weeks in a nothing-in-particular way.

ValiumQueen · 24/01/2014 22:03

That makes sense about the test BP.

ValiumQueen · 24/01/2014 22:06

He is snoring like a man. As is DD1. Think I will go and bunk up with DD2.

PetiteRaleuse · 24/01/2014 22:22

Eh? You just add water up to the line and shake? The first time the pharmacist showed me and then I considered myself to be a qualified drug mixer. But would explain why you only get 5 days. Doctors over here never give abs for less than 7 days. Ever. Except those two dose cystitis things for adults. Could they not just give a repeat prescription for a second complicated mix of water, and, um, powder?

GTbaby · 24/01/2014 22:30

2days short of 4months. Deff feels like a growth spurt here. Constant feeding all evening.

Got our walker out again. To try and encourage H to stand on feet rather then on knees. Already been a month since his 1st steps. He managed to get one leg out himself this morning. Then this evening caught him trying to climb in. Gota love the cutie. He is also going through a phase of constantly saying mum, muma and variations of it. To everything.

Passmethecrisps · 24/01/2014 22:31

You talk like a crazy lady pr!!! Grin

I agree vq. I am worried about missing p being poorly when I see here's than anyone else. Bit you are right - MMR and teeth

PetiteRaleuse · 24/01/2014 22:35

Life on the edge pass does that to you. Being allowed to mix your own powder with water is a massive civil liberty dontcha know.

Caught cat licking up a puddle of amoxycillin I had missed. Twat. I do not need another pet panic this week. Have had to chuck out the sponge and mop I used to clean it up. I still smell despite shower.

Passmethecrisps · 24/01/2014 22:38

I have had the same happen pr. Calpol all over the shop. Not the same as powder ab but ya know. On the bright side maybe everyone will be super healthy as a result of minor exposure?

MsJJones · 24/01/2014 22:40

Glad J is a bit better VQ.

I missed Lily's news as hadn't read everything yesterday, that's fantastic, well done on keeping going with your battle. O will be proud of her Mummy.

I have never had leftover mashed potato so can't help there PP Blush

Great to read the first thread, so much excitement. Det you were well organised! I am there in my old name of blonderthanred being all tingly and anxious. So strange to think of all the little people who are now part of our lives (2 in GT's case).

PetiteRaleuse · 24/01/2014 22:41

It was already mixed with the water. It is still dripping from the ceiling. And down the walls. Am having to stop myself going on a cleaning frenzy. Just hoping it doesn'tgo off like milk would overnight.

Pikz · 24/01/2014 22:44

As L would say... Ooohhhh noooooo PR

Am in bed. Everyone hacking me off in my house. I just wanted quiet and to be left alone this evening

Think this could be first period due in over a year . Love pill withdrawal.

Passmethecrisps · 24/01/2014 22:56

Uuuuuuuuhhhhhhh ooooooooohhhhhhwwwwwaaaaahhhhh

(P's favourite and only ) words

YellowWellies · 24/01/2014 23:16

PR I once chucked a big £6 bottle of anbesol liquid (the entire bloody thing!) across J's cot when I confused it for the dropper bottle of baby olbas intending to sprinkle a few drops in to help with a stuffy nose Blush
