Right ladies, who saw cbeebies this morning at 6:50? Was Alice's birthday card on?????? I sent a card to cbeebies ages ago and then completely forgot Blush . So I missed the slot first thing and they don't bleeding show it online anymore so i'm not sure if it got shown . All that hard work [sadface] . Recorded the others but it's not been on yet, last one is in 45 mins so if it's not then then either it was on first thing and we've missed it forever, so they didn't show it (I know chances are they won't show it, but I look at some they did show whch are just a few stickers and a photo and think they blooking well SHOULD show my completely hand drawn attempt which took agggeeesssss.

Blizy glad things are progressing with the appointments and hope balloon release goes well. Shall be thinking of you and Zoe.

american I've been getting 'having another?' comments since ALice was a baby Shock . I just say no but it grates so much as I'd love another really but can't go through pg again so it feels really bitter when people say it. It must be awful if you're ttc and it's not happening for peole to be saying it all the time. I'm a bit Shock at how many strangers in RL say these things! I also remember being shocked how many relative strangers asked me when Alice was a baby whether I was bfing Hmm

Wiggles bet they have a fab time at disney.

Ledkr enjoy Friday.

blizy - I'm thinking of you, your DH and Zoe today. xx

reastie - obv I wasn't watching CBeebies at 6:50 yesterday morning Wink but did you manage to find out if it was on?

I think we've determined that people like to stick their noses in where babies and reproduction is concerned. Grin My dad is a bit sensitive about the "when are you having another?" questions (he was raised RC and they waited 3 years to have their first, v uncommon in his family). My sister dared to joke about when we're having another in front of him and he shut her down very ungracefully, I think the words "it's none of your goddamn business" were uttered. Grin

Ledkr · 26/02/2014 20:22

Me too blizy

Grannyapple · 26/02/2014 21:00

Me also blizy xxx

wigglesrock · 28/02/2014 09:41

blizy Happy Birthday Zoe xx Hope balloon release goes well - the sun is shining here, hopefully it will for you.

blizy · 28/02/2014 10:33

Thanks wiggs, the sun is out but the rain is threatening.
I'm feeling ok today, yesterday however was another story. We were out with fil as it's his birthday on sat, there was no mention of Zoe at all and he said to me I hope you are enjoying your days off work, the man hasn't got a clue. I have cut down my contact with him, I no longer see him every Thursday. I'm lucky if I see him once a month now.

Ledkr · 28/02/2014 11:51

Happy birthday our Zoe, we will never forget you baby xx

Emski76 · 28/02/2014 13:07

Happy Birthday Zoe. Hope today is going as well as it can. Thinking of u always xx

Reastie · 28/02/2014 14:56

Came on to say happy birthday to the beautiful Zoe. Blizy have given something to sands this week under Zoe's name. It feels like so little and I feel so helpess. I hope the balloon release went well and the afternoon tea looked wonderful. Stupid FIL, just ignore him.

american no, I'll never know if her card was on cbeebies or now Confused

OP posts:
americanexpat · 28/02/2014 14:58

Happy birthday Zoe. xx

ILovePonyo · 28/02/2014 18:34

Happy birthday to Zoe bear. Balloon release pics looked lovely blizy

Sorry about stupid fil, I say good for you for deciding to reduce your contact with him, if he's going to be an ignorant arse and not change it's the best thing to do, you've got to look after yourself.

Grannyapple · 04/03/2014 12:31

Hi ladies...hope all the birthdays have gone well?

flustered how are you getting on?

blizy hope your appt went well?

Well I have some news for you ladies...I got the shock of my life on valentines day when I discovered I'm pregnant again! Not exactly planned/in the lifeplan but obviously meant to be...DH isn't allowed near me for a very long time Hmm

I'm back at work on 23rd April when I'll be 14 wks...think I'll need to call my boss & tell him when I'm about 10 wks (or might wait til scan on 8th April)...feel a bit embarrassed about telling him I'm coming back to work for only 6 months but I'm hoping telling him in advance means its a couple of weeks to sink in with everyone...& hopefully less comments for me when I go back.,

The ironic thing is DH always said he wanted 3 kids & I was always like "you're getting 2 max from me!"...Hmm

wigglesrock · 04/03/2014 14:25

grannyapple "no tv in your house" Wink Congratulations Thanks

Well Sofia & Liv had a fab time in Disney, although the pool in the hotel was one of the biggest highlights Hmm It was lovely for them to have so much time with my parents. I think my Mum enjoyed it more than anyone. They couldn't really afford to take us on holiday when we were kids, so I think they may have overcompensated slightly. It's like Disneys Frozen exploded in their suitcase!

americanexpat · 04/03/2014 16:40

Granny - eek! And congratulations obv. Grin A friend had a similar situation (though her 2nd child was 9 months old when she found out) and her life has been hectic but it's starting to settle down a bit now that the youngest is nearly 3. Good luck, it'll be fine. Thanks

blizy - how are you? xx

wiggles - that's the point of grandparents, to overindulge. Grin Also, I remember the horrible job but was it really in a lap dancing club?!

Reastie · 04/03/2014 17:54

Granny wow, congrats, that's so exciting. Didn't wiggles say that 3 isn't much harder than 2 once? Is your DH very excited?

Wiggles I loved your fb pictures of the girls at disney, looked like they had a fab time. I always imagined your job in a betting shop come pub (with lap dancing as a side line). I'd so love to go there in RL and see what it's actually like!

Well, Alice has had 4 sessions at nursery now and fingers crossed enjoys it (although has cried a bit when being left/during nursery when doing PE apparently). MIL took her today and said there were only 2 others there, so she got lots of attention which I'm sure she loved. Got an email from class rep last week saying Easter would soon be upon us and there would be an optional Easter whip around for a present for the nursery lady who runs Alice's class (eh? we have to to easter presents?!). Guess how much the suggested figure is for the Easter present? Go on, guess, bet you won't get it Wink .

Grannyapple · 04/03/2014 20:57

Thank you ladies. DH was far more ok about it than me! He started giggling then says it's fine, we'll manage somehow...I didn't share his optimism at first & not sure I still do! I'm 7+2 & already feeling the effects of pregnancy...lots of ower back pain & cramping & I seem to have caught every bug going in the last 2 weeks...need to get to my kip in a mo to try & get rid of this latest lurgy..

I was convinced (& finally coming round to the idea) of putting my career on hold for a few years after this next one...but then figured out Nate would be starting school if I took a years leave so would require 2 not 3 for childcare (tho would need to work out after school etc for Nate). I think we may need to go down the childminder/nanny route after this next one...so much to think about!

But so far all positive reactions from close friends & family...tho my sis did ask me if it was one of those fb joke things when I sent her a pic of the pg test...

3 is the magic number it would seem...

Grannyapple · 04/03/2014 20:58

reastie surely no more than a fiver... And yes why would they get an Easter pressie?!

americanexpat · 04/03/2014 21:12

reastie - I'm guessing £10 - that's expensive but not into ridiculous yet. I will [faint] if it's more. Honestly, an Easter present?

Granny - you will manage, life will be a bit crazy but you'll get through it. xx

Reastie · 04/03/2014 21:27

£15 ! Shock . I declined [strong]. It's going to be silly money for end of year present isn't it [nervous].

Granny it will all work out I'm sure, must be alot to think about though.

OP posts:
Reastie · 04/03/2014 21:28

I mean American from fainting (although tbh granny wouldn't blame you if you joined in!)

OP posts:
Grannyapple · 04/03/2014 22:19

Wtf...£15?! That's crazy!!!

blizy · 04/03/2014 22:51

Oh my goodness granny, congratulations! Grin

Reastie 15 quid and an Easter present? That's mad! I'm glad alice has settled into nursery.

I'm ok thanks American.

Zoe's birthday was quite nice, very bitter sweet. Another year with no contact from family on her birthday, I'm pissed off at that. I always make an effort and a fuss for family birthdays but we didn't even get a text message from my parents, sis, sil and fil. Although fil did phone on sat so we could wish him happy birthday! Angry

I had better put phone down and go to sleep, I have a full house tomorrow.

americanexpat · 04/03/2014 23:02

blizy - I'm sorry your family is so rubbish. It probably feels like they've forgotten her, wondering when you're going to be "over it". Sad xx

reastie - good god, that's some cheek! I wonder if anyone is contributing. Hope not, maybe then she'll be a bit more sensible for the end of the year.

Ledkr · 05/03/2014 07:49

Wow granny you are fast catching up with my brood!
Congrats/commiserations/ whatever Grin

Fifteen frigging pounds??? For Easter? Wtf are they buying her, a Gucci Easter egg?
I'd be fuming, I get fed up with all the whip rounds at work as it is.
Mind you it is a posh nursery with a uniform Grin I bought biscuits for Xmas and prob chocs for Easter.

We are ok, I'm back at work, dilly has still been going to nursery but seemed upset on Monday, maybe she sensed something different as I was in a dress and heels instead of sweet pants Grin

Wedding was fab. I will upload some pics later xx

wigglesrock · 05/03/2014 08:49

ledkr sweet pants - the mind boggles Smile Am glad wedding went well, am sure girls were gorgeous.

blizy at some point you just have to just give up on your family especially the treasure that is your fil Hmm

reastie 15? what is it a Faberge egg? We don't do class collections at all here - usually the teacher & TA end up with about 20 bottles of wine at Christmas & in the summer, strangely they dont seem to mind the repetition Smile

Mr W is actually off work for a week - yay. He's doing the floors, changing the beds & doing the shopping this morning, Anna & I are off to toddler group, I offered to swop with him, but he was happy enough to stay at home - funny that!
