Hello lovely ladies! We got our first choice schools choice...woo hoo! Was a bit annoying as the council website crashed before we were due to be told at 5pm so a message was posted saying we'd find out via snail mail. I have just received the email confirmation, albeit 4 hours late!!

Can't believe they're starting school in 5 months?!

All well here, busy but good. Adam is on solids now & has some appetite...he finishes EVERYTHING!! But has been easier as a result, I was dreading it this time..

V sleep deprived tho so I'm off to my kip now...

blizy · 17/04/2015 20:44

Fab news about all the school places!
We are going on holiday when the schools are due back after summer, it's just another harsh reminder of what Zoe should be doing.
Alex is doing well, he even managed an 8pm-8am sleep during the week, it was fab! He had an appointment at hospital to check for kidney reflux, they inserted a tube up his penis and injected dye whilst taking x-rays. My boy was a super star and lay there smiling at the light projector on the ceiling! He has to go back in a few weeks for a general anaesthetic to check his laryngomalaicia. He will have a tube up his nose and down his throat to check his larynx and also if he has a strawberry birth mark in there too. (He has one on his head and they can also be present in the throat!)
I start back work Monday, I'm so not looking forward to it at allHmm.
Hope everyone is ok.

wigglesrock · 18/04/2015 21:02

Blizy - It must be very difficult for you to hear of babies starting school when Zoe won't be, I thought of her this week when the places were being allocated xxxx Well done superstar Alex :). Where are you going on holiday?

All good here, took Anna, Liv and my niece Emma to Disney on Ice this morning, I haven't been before (my aunt usually takes them), it was brilliant, I really enjoyed, kids liked it too Wink. Just glad I wasn't the one paying for it Shock

Ledkr · 07/05/2015 11:50

Hi everyone.
Delilah got her school but them as we live so close I wasn't doubting we would.
The senior school tho is so popular, it beats the private ones in ofsted tables do people are desperate to get in.
Houses are being built on postage stamps and so the catchment this year was 0.4 miles Shock
Hope all is well.
Nice to hear Alex is doing so well but not surprising that Zoe's milestones are difficult for you. X

PrincessOfChina · 07/05/2015 21:26

Hello all!

God to hear the school allocations seem to have gone to plan. We got our second choice but didn't expect to get our first as we're out of catchment. I suspect all our little ones will be well ready to start school if R's anything to go by. She's answeing back, bossing us and generally behaving like a teenager!

Ah yes, and we had our gorgeous boy just about 5 weeks ago now. Reuben is settling in nicely and is putting on tons of weight after a slightly slow start. The ELCS was an odd experience, I'm sure I felt more this time! Weird. But he's settling ok, sleeping a bit and smiling. Very cute.

Ledkr · 07/05/2015 23:39

Congratulations princess

Grannyapple · 11/05/2015 21:46

Grr lost a post!

Congrats princess!

Finally met up with the lovely reastie & Alice...was great to finally meet for real & I hope she understood me & my Glaswegian accent & in posh Kent Grin

Not much to report here...Adam is amazing as is Amelia & Nate is being a wee superstar..trying at times as always, but in the main pretty good, particularly with his wee sis & bro.

Hope everyone managed to enjoy a bit of sunshine today.

wigglesrock · 14/05/2015 09:59

Morning, hope everyone is motoring along nicely Smile
Have just realised there's only 6 weeks left before the girls finish their 9 week summer holiday. I'm sure I've lost a month somewhere!

Had some great news about my Dad, he's going to have six sessions of chemo instead of eight. The tumour was completely cut out, they were just concerned in case any rogue cells had seeped through but his test results during every break in treatment have been grand and at this point the chemo is doing more damage. So he's done Smile. We are all going away together at the end of June , so it's given us a real boost.

blizy · 18/05/2015 13:42

Wiggles that's fantastic news about your Dad! I was just thinking of him recently and how he's doing? The same with your mil granny?
I can't wait until the summer hols here, I'm term time o my just now so it'll be just me and my boyGrin.

Alex is going to yorkhill next Wednesday for a wee exploratory procedure under GA, I'm totally freaking, although I know he will be just fine.

Grannyapple · 18/05/2015 22:58

Aw that's fab news wiggs!

Aw blizy I was coming on to post to ask what was happening with little Alex as I think the last time you posted you were off to see a consultant about it? Aw, he will be totally fine but completely understand the nervousness! Both N & A have had GA by the time they were 18 months but I was still freaking out at that age! Hope it's all over & done with quickly for both your sakes!

For those not on fb, I'm an auntie Grin. Sis was told she had pre eclampsia last monday so she was induced on Thursday late afternoon. Nothing much happened til 3am Friday morning when she woke with contractions, MW managed to call BIL at 3.55 & baby arrived 4.35am. Baby got distressed (cord wrapped twice around neck) but all good so I had a cheeky w/e off from the madhouse whilst I flew up to Glasgow to see her & meet my first 'proper' (for want of a better word, different when its your sister/sibling Eh?!) nephew. He's soo gorgeous & I'm only slightly broody but equally glad I'm done on the baby front!

blizy · 19/05/2015 18:15

Yay, Auntie grannie! Glad all is well with the wee guy.
I know A will be just fine, he is struggling with reflux again but the GP is reluctant to refer him to the paeds, keeps asking me if I'm holding him right, ffs!

Grannyapple · 24/05/2015 20:19

blizy hope Alex's procedure all went ok?

And with the reflux-I don't understand why so many GP's just don't get that reflux can occur in babies?! They wouldn't let an adult suffer with it so why a baby who can't tell you what's going on? Hope he saw the light & you've now got some meds that actually work for reflux (omperazole or ranitidine?). I have friends whose babies suffered terribly from it & only way resolve it was to go to OOH. One saw a paediatrician who diagnosed CMPI straight away, after months of GP fobbing mum off... Anyway, hope Alex's symptoms have eased a little with new meds.
Not much to report here...looking forward to heading back home in 3 weeks...trying to ignore the fact that we need to organise 5 of us for packing & driving up the road....

blizy · 26/05/2015 19:46

Hey granny, he's in hospital in the morning, eek!
He has ranitidine and gaviscon, the ranitidine only works until he gains weight then needs increased. It's also hit and miss if he keeps it down! I'm pushing fog omeprazole as its a once a day dosage, more chance of it staying in and working!

Grannyapple · 27/05/2015 21:02

Hey blizy hope it all went well today x

blizy · 02/06/2015 10:53

All went well thanks granny, no need for a further op, thank god!

wigglesrock · 03/06/2015 22:14

Ah brilliant Blizy - must be a relief x

PonyoLovesHam · 04/06/2015 14:39

Hi all, I lost you!

I am sitting here trying to waste time until 3pm, as A is at her first visit to her school and that's when I pick her up! She went in no probs, just looked a bit unsure and was very quiet. Sob!

Blizy really please there's no need for another op. How is he doing today?

AuntieGranny congrats to you! How lovely. My sis is pregnant, due in august. I can't wait!

Wiggles great news about your dad, how amazing! You are all going to enjoy your break at the end of this month I imagine :) where are you off to?

Right I am going to finish my cup of tea and head off soon. Afterwards a lovely staff member from A's nursery has said A can go to hers where she keeps horses and groom them etc, so that will have kept A going through the school visit haha!

wigglesrock · 04/06/2015 22:11

Ponyo - How did A get on today - both with the horses and with school Smile?

I found out today that Anna is going to have the same P1 teacher as Olivia and Sofia - am really pleased, she's going to be in the same class as 3 of her friends from nursery school. We are both going to the school tomorrow morning so she can play and have a nosy, eat in the canteen etc.

We are off on holiday - Estepona near Malaga in 3 weeks, have suddenly realised how close it is and am panicking slightly Shock

PonyoLovesHam · 05/06/2015 12:49

She got on really well wiggles! She came out of school all smiley with some pictures she coloured. Didn't say much about it except it was "fine" Grin
Then we went to see the horse which was about 15 hands high Shockshe had a little ride on it and brushed it etc. the girl who's horse it is is so lovely, really helpful and showing A what to do and why. Think we'll be going back again soon! A was shattered by the end though. Really flagging bless her Smile

I've managed to reduce my hours a bit for when she starts school, it means I'll be still working at the same place but a different role, doing 28 hours. I'm really pleased bcos it means I can drop her off and pick her up most days, I'll be spending more time with her than we do now!

Hope A gets on ok today wiggles (I'm sure she will). Holiday sounds lovely! 3 weeks will fly by ShockWink

wigglesrock · 30/08/2015 18:04

Hope everyone has had a good summer, well better weather than me Smile
Just popping on to wish all the "babies" well with starting school!!!

TheCunkOfPhilomena · 09/09/2015 18:16

Ha wiggles, that's exactly why I've just popped on! I hope all DCs are doing well, it doesn't seem possible that they're starting school now. B doesn't start until next Wednesday (well has a settling in day on Monday so I suppose that's his first day) and he and I is more than ready.

Ledkr · 03/10/2015 06:18
