Just caught up.

How is your dad blizy good I hope.

I remember people announcing their happy news when I'd been trying for three years post mc, I used to feel vile, all nasty and jealous, not my finest moments but totally normal.

Yes I did do the races is the pope catholic had a boozy few days but lovely! few winners too.

Dilly is ok at the moment, quite sweet really. She's not partial to her "new ears" but we had the teacher for the deaf out on Wednesday and basically we've got to be tough and bribe her

She never has accidents in the day but her night nappy weighs about a stone in the morning so we are far from night dryness.

Ella is totally awkward and hormonal, I try hard but it's not easy, I'm not sure that my dreams of "shopping with my dd" will come true yet. I took her to town and she was snippy and sarcastic, I embarrassed her when I said hi to one of her school friends apparently.

Dh has been upgraded to Idris a sgt, it's just a pain in the arse as his shifts have changed and fucked up our Easter break/childcare.grrr

Hols started today with an inset day so we are off to the mahoosive soft play before it gets holiday busy.

Be soon x

Ledkr · 04/04/2014 09:06

Oh yes, I'm off to see Adam and the ants on Friday with Getorf and dollytwat, can't wait.

debka · 04/04/2014 09:14

OMG ledkr Dilly is a little angel and Ella looks just like you! She has grown up so much since I saw her in Birmingham somewhere a couple of years ago! What lovely lovely girls, you must be so proud, I especially loved the one with E looking after D.

delia hi, glad things are good with you :)

expat sorry to hear things aren't going too smoothly. My sister really struggled to conceive her first, it affected her entire life and demeanour. She was a different person when she got pregnant, by which I mean we realised just how much the struggle affected her. Much love and all fingers crossed xxx

Hi to everyone else :) xxx

I've been busy with RL here so not on so much. I start uni after easter and am beyond excited. It is such a big change for me and the family, feel like I'm stretching my wings. I think it will be better and easier for the girls too, because atm I work split shifts and 4-5 days a week am not around at bedtime or in the morning, plus I work every other weekend and they do miss me.

I've been strugging with my weight for a while now, which is really frustrating. Had to leave SW when I started working FT almost a year ago and almost 3 stone has crept back on. I am so disappointed with myself. I am hoping that the change in lifestyle when I go to uni will help.

Girls lovely, Imy is 5 now and so tall, S is 3 and sooo independent. She has not worn trousers for over a year, only skirts or dresses, preferably in pink. She has long blonde unbrushed and rarely washed hair and looks angelic but is a little demon. Love her though, that's what being 3 is about, right?

Ledkr · 04/04/2014 09:59

Thanks deb I have to laugh at losing weight at uni (memories of nights doing dissertations with toasted sarnies) I'm on a constant sw diet but I'm a terrible cheat so it's slow but I'm fine with that.

Dilly is so independent too. I've not dressed her since she was about 18 months, I chuck the clothes at her, she complains and changes them and then dresses. Nursery are used to her going in in a back to from top.
She won't let me do a thing for her, she even wants to go in the public loo alone which was ok until she locked herself in at swimming yesterday Hmm

americanexpat · 04/04/2014 16:37

ledkr - ah, the girls look lovely though D does have that "spirited" look about her. Grin How old is Ella? I remember those horrible teenage years couldn't pay me enough to go through them again. I hope D starts getting on with her hearing aids soon.

deb - how exciting that you're starting uni soon, good luck. I'm struggling with my weight as well, have gained about a stone since we moved back. I've finally rejoined Weight Watchers as I know it works for me and I'm tired of being fat. I'm eating so much rubbish because I'm tired which only makes it worse.

L is doing wonderfully with potty training at nursery, no accidents three days running, but home is a completely different story. Hmm He's completely uninterested in using the toilet but wants to wear underpants my poor sofa. I've been forcing him to try every half hour but it's such a huge struggle that I want to put him back in a nappy.

Reastie · 04/04/2014 18:31

Hello all,

Ledkr your girls look stunning in those piccies. Ella is absolutely gorgeous and Dill is a sweetie. I want to know how long Dilly kept that dress clean for Wink would take Alice less than 10 minutes to drop something down it or fall in mud or something! Well done for promo to your DH. Is that what he was taking the tests for a while ago?

Another person joining the weight loss strugglers band wagon. Think I've reached a huge plateau and have put on a little bit recently.Must not put any more on, don't want to undo the hard work, but it's so dull being good. I'd still ideally like to lose another 8lbs, but it's not happening.

american sorry about the ttc stuff, but be awfully hard being happy for other people. Fingers crossed it'll all happen for you and blizy soon. FWIW Alice is having a potty training relapse since nursery still. More accidents and refusing to use the loo or potty until she's practically wetting herself. Have tried taking her myself to nursery loos (as recommended by you and wiggles I think) but she just sits on them and says she can't go even when she is obviously desperate.

Deb good to hear from you, good luck you uni, you'll be a star and fab I know it, and the SW thing will happen, you've lost it already so you know you can do it! How are things with you and Mr Deb? From fb (I know not a great indicator of happiness though...) it looks like things are good and he is doing lots of nice things with Imy and Sabine.

Things here OK. Had my first migraine today and still recovering. Got all wavy fuzzy lines all over my eyes at work and went home and then the headache started. Gah, mucho sympathy to people who regularly get them, twas nasty.

Took Alice to disney shop for the first time yesterday. She was so excited and amazed all at once! She found an alice in wonderland doll and spend ages introducing it to all of the other toys she could find. Was great for a fun visit but my goodness prices in there are a rip off expensive. I was strong and we left with nothing can't say the same for the cath kidston shop though

Enjoy Easter holibobs everyone.

ledkr the photos are beautiful, girls look gorgeous. Well done to your dh.

debka you must be getting so excited. One of my friends just started her second year of nursing (she's Feb intake), she absolutely loves it. It's hard going sometimes but she doesn't regret doing it. Shift work is shit for keeping healthy in general, especially split shifts - tiredness always makes me hungry.

We've been very lucky with Anna & potty training. She doesn't use a potty any more & is out of nappies completely. She's still a huffy little madam Smile

I heard today that Anna has got a place at the same nursery school Olivia went to, so I'm delighted. It was great for Liv & I really like the teachers. 9.00- 1.30 every day - I'm so looking forward to September Smile

flusteredmumto2 · 05/04/2014 12:57

Hi all.
Ledkr your girls look adorable. I have the opposite with freya and she always wants me to do everything for her. Even her nursery have said she's a drama queen and cries a the slightest little thing.

Things here are tough but Im still muddling through. I have finalised uni so its a definite move to Bristol now. Its just the joy of trying to sort childcare and schools out now. Its hard as we're saving for somewhere to live dp is only home once a month which is killing me being apart so long. I know its only temporary but it's hard. This pregnancy has not been easy and I didn't think I' be as grumpy as I am and I keep taking it out on dp. I think I'm still trying to come to terms with it and I'm more scared than I have been before.
Hope everyone is well. Xx

blizy · 06/04/2014 19:51

Ledkr, the girls are gorgeous. Ella is so beautiful.

Well ladies, today I am pregnant! I'm around 5 weeks and bloody terrified! I had what I thought was a normal period two weeks ago, I have been brown spotting yesterday and today, thought I'd do a test and straight away I got a BFP! I'm phoning the Dr tomorrow, hoping I can get a reassurance scan in the next few weeks (fingers crossed this little bean sticks).

wigglesrock · 06/04/2014 20:01

blizy Sweet Mary Mother of God I don't think I've heard better news in forever Smile

You must be all over the place xxx. I'm scundered to say I'm actually crying here Blush

blizy · 06/04/2014 20:06

Wiggles, I am FREAKING. I am spotting (brown. Stuff) so terrified about that and I'm so paranoid about an ectopic pregnancy. One day at a time, my mantra us today I am pregnant.

wigglesrock · 06/04/2014 20:17

You must be Thanks - one day at a time was the only way I coped when I was pregnant with Sofia(I didn't dare hope). I know it's easy for me to say but try not to panic about the spotting. But get on the phone tomorrow, stamp your feet, be your usual charming self Smile & see what reassurances re early scan etc they can offer you.

Grannyapple · 06/04/2014 20:33

Omg blizy..I have goosebumps for you! Thrilled for you but equally understand your nervousness! Good luck at docs tomorrow mrs xxx

Ledkr · 06/04/2014 20:35

blizy · 06/04/2014 20:46

OP posts:
Grannyapple · 06/04/2014 20:49

Due date is around 18th October...got scan on Tuesday to firm up dates. But never mind that...how have you been feeling??

blizy · 06/04/2014 20:50

He is fine, he had a bad UTI. well on the mend now. He fancies himself as a fortune teller, people used to come to the. Door all the time asking for readings when I was a kid!

blizy · 06/04/2014 20:51

I don't feel pregnant at all except I have the weird groin pain and twinges (that's normal right?)

Grannyapple · 06/04/2014 20:52

Heh heh...he sounds like a handy person to know...& obviously has a skill in that field!

Grannyapple · 06/04/2014 20:55

I have no idea what's normal anymore...everyone of mine has been different! But this one I've had that weird groin pain! Wow...look after yourself over the coming weeks mrs...it's Easter break up there isn't it? Does that mean less workload for you over the next fortnight? Here, I can ask SIL what you need to say to get that early scan if you like? Will you be going to princess Royal again-is that where your consultant is?

Reastie · 06/04/2014 20:57

I remember having lots of weird groin pain/ sensations blizy so sure that's normal. How did dh take the news? Bet he's got a huge grin !
