Aw blizy glad scan went well & DH sounds über cute buying the sleep suit. I can only imagine how you're feeling but just take things one day/week at a time & before you know it, you'll be meeting bubba in the new year x

Ah reastie sorry to hear weather ruined the open garden day. I must confess that I totally forgot about it...but I had a mw appt this morning & then slept this afternoon to catch up on lack of sleep during the week, so would have been wasted otherwise. But I'm hoping we can meet locally v soon...esp before no 3 arrives & it's even more of a struggle to get out the door on time Grin.

americanexpat · 30/06/2014 17:54

blizy - wonderful news about the scan and aww to your DH. Feeling terrified is completely understandable and we're here to hold your hand.

wiggles - I laughed at Anna's lift comment. Blush Enjoy Ibiza.

Not much to report here. I had a mostly lazy weekend, have not been feeling well the last couple weeks plus some dental work on Friday so I spent Saturday on the sofa. Friday is a bank holiday here so thankfully a short week.

Reastie · 30/06/2014 20:01

granny don't worry at all. I saw your post in the week about all the stuff you were up to and you needed that rest! It tipped down with rain about an hour in, so alot of people were put off coming, numbers were alot lower than we hoped Sad . Still, we raised £500 for Cruse, so not to be sniffed at. DH is still having to eat up loads of cakes. For the first time ever (a combination of me losing weight and DH putting it on) I weight less than DH now :)

ALice is poorly, and we're on holiday on Saturday, so I'm madly stressing DH and I will get ill for our holiday. The one week ALL year we go away. Please let us get it quick and get over the worst or not catch it.

american hope you feel better soon, what's up?

blizy I laughed at the potatoes comment on fb!

reastie - how are you all feeling now? Hopefully Alice is better and you didn't catch it. Enjoy your holiday! I'm not quite sure what's wrong, no energy and tired since the m/c, I think it just wiped me out physically. I'm taking iron tablets again so hopefully it eases. I'm drinking a shocking amount of coffee during the day.

wiggles - hope you're enjoying your holiday already.

Reastie · 03/07/2014 17:04

american Alice is fine now, just a bit coldy. I have a sore throat, but not sure whether it's hayfever for what . Hope you feel more on form soon. I do remember my mc really took it out of me physically too, I didn't quite feel back to normal for a couple of months, so hopefully you'll be back on form soon.

Oh, reastie, I meant to say that you really need to try making Italian buttercream. I found it fairly easy (used this recipe but scaled it down to 2 egg whites and used the whisk the entire time) and it's amazing.

Reastie · 03/07/2014 18:19

I know american , problem is, if I make it, I'll eat it, which would not be good! Update on germs - DH has a sore throat Confused . please let this not be a jinxed holiday, weather forecast is also looking bad.

americanexpat · 03/07/2014 18:31

It freezes well. WinkGrin

WeAreBorg · 04/07/2014 21:01

Hello Febbers, long long time since I've been around. How's everyone? What's the gossip?

WeAreBorg · 04/07/2014 21:09

Wow blizy you're pregnant, that's wonderful news!!!
What's an open garden day? Does reastie live in a 400 year old mansion with extensive mature grounds as I imagine her to?
American so sorry about the mc, hope you feel better soon. How's Leo? How's the States? Have you settled in okay?

WeAreBorg · 04/07/2014 21:17

No. 3 Granny, my goodness woman, don't you have a telly? Congratulations x 2! So what brother/sister combination does Nate have now?

It's fun trying to work out what's been happening by only reading this page. Have forgotten how to make people's names in bold. Was it bold?

Where's lederhosen and wiggles?

WeAreBorg · 04/07/2014 21:18

ledkr not lederhosen

blizy · 04/07/2014 21:26

omg Borg, so good to hear from you. How are you and N?
Wiggles is in Ibiza and ledkr lederhosen is still around.

WeAreBorg · 04/07/2014 22:04

blizy!!!! So pleased for you? How are you feeling? Must be so so scary. How far along are you?
N is good, he is "a real character" as nursery put it, which I think means he's a total PITA.
We have a new addition, 5 month old baby boy. He's pretty placid compared to the Nut, just grins at me all the time with his little chins wobbling

Reastie · 05/07/2014 07:31

borg !!! I was asking about you a while ago, did your ears burn?! Congrats on the new boy, what's his name? And, I don't know why I remember this, but did PIL ever buy you a bathroom?! Oh yes, I live in a mansion I wish ! My parents have a big garden (and our garden kind of leads out to theirs) and they opened it up for charity for the afternoon. No East Wing and servants quarters at all! unfortunately . I love the typo lederhosen, Ledkr fancy a nn change to ledkrhosen Wink ?

blizy · 05/07/2014 18:12

Borg, congrats on the new addition. He sounds adorable.
I'm only 11 weeks but all is well so far, I've had a few scans Lready and have my 12 week and NT scan next Monday, I'm nervous about the nt results because of Z's ds.

WeAreBorg · 05/07/2014 22:06

reastie! How's Alice? Very impressed by your garden do. My parents lent us some money for a new bathroom, and er come to think of it we haven't actually paid them back yet. Baby is called Jonah, but Nate has renamed him Joan which has stuck as it's quite funny calling your baby a middle aged ladies name.
Spookily I did suddenly think of you all a few weeks ago when we were down South, as I rarely venture down that way and was trying to think if i knew anyone down there. Maybe we have a telepathic bond? I'll think of a number and you have to guess it.

blizy best of luck for your scan, and especially the nt tests. Really hoping for some nice reassuring news xxx

Went to a hen do today, I am so passed the age of anything to do with willies being funny. Joan discreetly attended his first hen do for a couple of drinks too. Drank too quickly, spewed everywhere, and shat his pants typical man

Reastie · 06/07/2014 07:09

Just getting back on the thread as I'd lost you all, BORG how wonderful to hear from you! Congrats on little Joan Wink aww.

All is crap here, lots of illness all round and general feeling sorry for ourselves Grin I'll post again when things are on the up!

wigglesrock · 07/07/2014 13:41

I know, I know I'm supposed to be on holiday, but thought I'd have a quick flick before my next drink Wink

Glad everyone is well, Borg great to hear from you, congratulations Smile

Right off to have a swim, a beer & a leer at the barman!

americanexpat · 07/07/2014 15:46

Borg! I was randomly thinking of you a few weeks ago and wondering if N's sleep had improved any? You and I had the worst sleepers on the thread, hope it's improved for you. L is a decent sleeper now, though he ends up in bed with us most nights. We solved that problem by buying a larger bed. Grin And congrats on wee Joan.

I think lederhosen might be my favourite autocorrect. Grin

Grannyapple · 07/07/2014 22:57

Well hello there borg..& congrats on no 2!

Yes I know...shouldn't be having sex when you've got a 5/6 month old (be warned!)...but yes bit of a surprise & due mid October. Totally feeling it now & I think mat leave countdown will begin at the end of this month. I think wiggs was the first person to make the no tv comment to me Grin. Nate now has a little sister, Amelia, who is one in a few weeks...& this one is boy..so he's well chuffed there's one if each!

Your Nate sounds adorable with little Jonah!

WeAreBorg · 08/07/2014 09:00

reastie it was 7 Sad
ponyo! Hope you all feel better soon, n a bit poorly since yesterday, first time in about 18 months. Hope lovely anya ok.
wiggles holiday sounds fun. I can't imagine the barmen is hotter than the delectable mr wiggs
american hello. N is a brilliant sleeper now! He's like a teenager and grunts if we try to get him up too early. J is a bit crap but I don't mind as it's as though he wakes up purely to grin at me. Glad l is good now too, it was nice having a fellow crap sleeper in those grim days.
granny I still look pregnant so cannot contemplate actually being pregnant! Lovely news on having a boy, Nate is very lucky. DH wants a third fat chance of that

americanexpat · 11/07/2014 16:38

Borg - L is a bit like that now, he fights bedtime then it's almost impossible to get him out of bed in the morning until we "race" out of bed and he wants to win. Last Saturday (after a late night) he slept until 9:30. Shock

We've had a bit of bad news from the vet. Our elderly cat (that we took in at the end of November) has a mass of some sort in his belly. The vet gave us some options on pursuing treatment (if it's possible), otherwise she suggested euthanising him soon. Sad I think we've decided to do an ultrasound to see if it's treatable then go from here. I'm in shock a bit, we thought his arthritis was flaring up again and this was really unexpected.

blizy · 11/07/2014 21:06

Oh no American, hope it's nothing serious poor puss.
