Yay blizy! How reassuring for you SmileSmile How are you feeling? (Still rough I hope, in the nicest possible way Wink)

Reastie A has been a right pain to get to sleep recently, up until she had chicken pox. So frustrating. We leave her play upstairs, which she sometimes does til 9pm Confused but when she starts whinging for us and saying she's hungry it's annoying.

However it does seem to have been a phase and she's better now. Last night, after her first day back at pre school after the pox, she went to sleep at 7pm and we had to wake her at 7.30am this morning ShockShock (Not a boast, just shows how knackered she must have been!)

Hope everyone is well. I'm only doing a short post because dp and I are watching the new series of orange is the new black on netflix now, I love it!

PonyoLovesHam · 11/06/2014 21:05

Oh reastie, I didn't know you could get a jab for chicken pox in the uk? Shock Excuse my ignorance Grin

Reastie · 11/06/2014 21:08

Yes ponyo you can but it cost us over £100 to get it done Shock . We figured given the time we'd have to have off work to look after her it would sort of pay for itself in the long term iykwim.

Hi!

My sympathies re sleep Reastie. My two are still awake at this time! They both went to bed at 7.30 but I can still hear them banging about and giggling. DH has just gone in to tell them to go to sleep. Lottie is a pain. She'll want a story, then she's thirsty, then she needs a wee... Argh!

Blizy, that's wonderful news.

Hope the little ones with chicken pox are feeling better!

Happy Birthday Wiggles! Hope you had a lovely time. Sofia sounds so grown up, I can't believe she's 9. DD1 turned 7 last week and she seems so old now. She got a new bike and it's a 24 inch one, it's massive - I can ride it normally and it doesn't feel small at all even though I'm a short arse. She's so tall!

Not much to report here! Out with the girls on Friday night which is quite exciting as I haven't been on a girls night out in...well I can't remember how long!

RobinSparkles · 11/06/2014 21:32

Oh forgot to say hope the exam went well MizK!

blizy · 11/06/2014 21:39

Hope the little ones are asleep soon.

Ponyo, yes, yes I'm feeling very green around the gills. Not yet puked but it's not far away. It's very comforting though.

We told family today, there were quite a few tears all round. My 17 yr old brother sobbed his wee heart out.

I was a blubbering snotty mess when the midwife pointed out baby and heart beat on the screen, this has to be my take home baby, I need it to be.

PonyoLovesHam · 11/06/2014 22:24

Oh blizy that's so sweet about your brother! Awww Smile Deffo promising about the sick feeling, this has to go well for you Smile x x x

Robin enjoy your night out! Yay!

americanexpat · 12/06/2014 06:34

Just popping on to say congratulations to blizy!

I'm away for work so well do the full roundup when I get home.

TheCunkOfPhilomena · 12/06/2014 09:50

Same as expat, just had to pop on to say huuuuge congratulations to blizy Thanks Cake Smile

RobinSparkles · 12/06/2014 12:59

Blizy this is your take home baby. I just know it is, I can feel it!

L is testing my patience today. ATM I'm being told to "stoppit". I don't know what I'm doing that I need to stop Hmm breathing, probably!

MizK · 12/06/2014 21:50

Amazing news re the scanblizy so exciting x can't wait til you have this baby home and safe and well (and giving you plenty of sleepless nights no doubt haha!) really thrilled for you both.

Thanks for exam well wishes, all my results are due next Friday so hoping to have passed everything. Have been reading nothing but trash all week as a reaction against all the worthy literature I've been ploughing through. Reading a Fiona Walker at the min and glorying in its shitness!

Hi robin and stoppit! Whatever it may be!

reastie feel for you re A wanting you to lie with her. ATM we are getting C to bed (after a very miserable few months of having to stay in with her every night) by playing to her vanity... Basically we say things like wow! You are such a big grown up girl, I can't wait to tell (insert favourite person eg nursery key worker) tomorrow! Everybody will be so proud of you going to bed like a big girl! Etc etc and touch wood, it seems to do the trick. Good luck!

ponyo eek I'm so excited for season 2! Hoping to start it soon, want to finish Fargo first (which is SO intense and is making me hate-lust after Billy Bob Thornton weirdly)

Big waves to everybody!

Grannyapple · 14/06/2014 08:38

Sorry only just seen this...yay blizy absolutely thrilled for you both & your family's reactions sounds amazing!

Shattered here...been up since 5 with at least one child awake in the night too all week...DH also appears to have D&V since he got home yesterday...going to be an interesting w/e me thinks!

americanexpat · 17/06/2014 15:24

A bit shattered here this morning. The tornado sirens went off at midnight so we huddled in the basement until the all-clear 15 minutes later. We went back to bed and the sirens went off again 5 minutes later. Shock One hit very near work and it was like a war zone coming to work - houses flattened, cars overturned in fields, a lot of windows blown out in my building at work. A friend's street got hit and I just had a text from her saying they're fine but the houses across the street have a lot of damage. Sad We're very lucky, just some trees and branches down.

Blizy's good luck rubbed off on me this month but I'm having an early m/c. I'm OK about it but I feel like I've been hit by a bus. I'm hoping the rest of this week is better than the beginning...

blizy · 17/06/2014 15:54

American that must be so scarey, how was Leo with it?

Sorry to hear about the mc, remember I had the same in April and got pg again in May. You are at your most fertile after miscarrying. I have everything crossed for you. Hope you are ok Thanks

americanexpat · 17/06/2014 16:03

He was fine, he slept through most of it. I carried him to the basement then back to bed, then repeated the same 5 minutes later. Grin It's all a bit surreal this morning - they're busy boarding up windows and sweeping up the broken glass at work, the ceiling and ducts are coming down in places.

wigglesrock · 17/06/2014 20:54

americanexpat - hope you're all ok, saw it on FB - must have been a scary experience. Sorry about the miscarriage, hope everything works out Thanks.

All motoring along fine here, girls finish school for the summer next week and then we are away on holiday the next week, so we're all very excited. Sofia is 9 on Friday so she's already spent her birthday money in her head!

Anna had her preschool jabs today, no bother at all, she didn't even flinch, looks like she has inherited Olivia's high pain threshold - they get it from me ;)

World Cup fever here, the World Cup is Mr Ws favourite thing in the whole world - he has no favourite teams - he loves them all

Emski76 · 18/06/2014 21:08

American, I'm so sorry about the mc, and hope your all ok after the tornado. Thankful that all slept thru it.
Noah has his jabs in two weeks, I imagine he'll be like Anna. He's like a little bulldozer!!
Ben, on the other hand, is a complete wuss, like his dad. He's come out in chicken pox today, and completely freaked out, scared to have lotion on, scared of the medicine, scared of the spots!! (Giving a Wiggles type eye roll). I love that Mr W loved all the teams on the World Cup. Lucky for me dh hates football.
Blizy, hope all ok with you.
Love to everyone

americanexpat · 19/06/2014 16:31

I feel I should note that, for those who saw my trip photos on FB, I didn't know I was pregnant the first few days of the trip otherwise there would have been twice as many photos. Grin I'm feeling fine about it, had similar before L and was absolutely gutted at the time.

reastie/Ponyo - L doesn't go to bed until 8:30 or 9 during the week because he has a nap at nursery. I tried to fight it at first then decided it wasn't worth the aggravation.

emski - poor Ben with CP, are you rescheduling your holiday?

blizy · 19/06/2014 19:51

American I had eight a few drinks at the radio one gig the day before I got my BFP.
I had a moment whilst watching Sam Smith, he was singing "stay with me" I grabbed my belly and told it this song is for you. I just knew I was pg.

Emski76 · 19/06/2014 21:12

American, your being very brave, but we're still here for you. We've had to cancel our break. We could have rescheduled but the summer holidays prices were double what we paid and the weekends were full. Luckily I bought the cancellation waiver so we get a full refund, best £7.95 I've spent in a while!
Blizy, that's a lovely story about knowing you were pregnant. I think some women just know.
