It's quiet here these days. Hope everyone is well. Cake

RobinSparkles · 12/05/2014 20:01

American! Thank God, I thought I'd killed it!

americanexpat · 13/05/2014 14:18

Since it's only the two of us, have some Wine too. Grin

Ledkr · 14/05/2014 20:39

I'm here. Not been in for ages, been busy as ever.
Wonder how blizy is?
Looking forward to some sunshine if it ever comes.
It's first festival this year in two weeks. Can't wait.

PonyoLovesHam · 14/05/2014 20:49

Hello everyone, I'm here. Hi!

We've got our house on the market and some numpty has just knocked on the door at half 8 asking about it, after A has spent hours having a super paddy meltdown Confused Aaagh! So she's awake now. At least she's not crying and screaming... I blame the full moon Hmm

I'll try and put a link to my house if anyone wants a nosy. We've seen a lovely house we like but it's right near the shops on the main road, so on double yellow lines, but I love it and think we might be missing out. Dp not so sure :(

How is everyone anyway?

Ledkr how's Ella doing?

Has anyone got hols planned? We're off to Brighton in August, can't wait!

wigglesrock · 15/05/2014 17:26

ponyo that used to happen to us when we were selling. We sold our house when Liv was about 15 months - it was a nightmare Angry . Is it parking you're worried about with the house you fancy? When we moved we ended up doing it really quickly in the end. So we rented for six months then moved to where we are now. It really helped crystalise exactly what we wanted. Our house had no garden & I always thought I would love a big garden but when we rented a house with a big garden the kids didn't use it as much as I thought (we were there over the summer). I also always wanted a garage, we'd never had one but again when we had one it was just another room full of crap Grin . We ended up going for much more indoor space.

We're off to Ibiza in the first week of July. We're actually on proper summer holiday countdown now. The girls finish school in 6 weeks, so sports days & school trips are on the horizon!! Me & Mr W also have a few days booked away at the beginning of October. Sofia has a wardrobe to rival Suri Cruise organised for her holidayBlush . Liv has organised some shorts & tops. Anna has a variety of swimsuits & that's her Wink

grannyapple see from FB the renovation work has started Brew . Hope your return to work went ok & you're feeling well.

wigglesrock · 15/05/2014 17:30

Meant to add - we've had some choice tantrumming from Anna lately Shock Apparently I buy her nothing & she'd prefer it if I never told her off. I tried to explain that if she wasn't bold I wouldn't tell her off but she didn't appreciate that!

Ledkr · 15/05/2014 21:00

wiggs dilly had this convo today with dh
"I lub yiu daddy"
"Do you Delilah, that's nice, will you go to bed nicely then?"
"Shuppup daddy"

I am having a movie night with Ella. Pacific rim.
Nothing to do with Idris in the main role, oh no, not me.

RobinSparkles · 15/05/2014 21:20

L called me a princess today. She was offering me a taste of her Angel Delight. "Do you want a taste princess?" She said.

Makes a change from "you big wally" which is what she usually calls me.

We had a spectacular tantrum yesterday over the fact that I wouldn't put some slippers on her that were too small. She must have found them at the bottom of the wardrobe and decided that she HAD to have them on. It lasted most of the afternoon, she wouldn't eat her lunch and then she was all worn out for my nephew's birthday party last night!

Ledkr · 16/05/2014 08:07

Yes Delilah can get I to a right frenzy if she wants to wear something that's too small.
Proper tantrum she has, gets really upset and devastated.

Reastie · 17/05/2014 18:34

Hello

You dropped off my threads I'm on and I didn't realise, just thought you were all quiet!

ponyo Shock to MIL. At least DH realises what she's like and supports you. Yes yes I'd like a nose at the house link. I know a few people selling and they are finding it tiring to keep it nice for viewings etc so hope it's not all too stressful.

Ledkr I think Ella will be forever 9 in my head.

Alice is being very 'bold' at the minute (in wiggles speak) . Oh, and wiggles I think she has a thing for captain feathersword!! She likes him the most when we watch the wiggles (our latest charity shop find is 'wake up jeff' which is on on repeat much of the time).

Went out with Mummy friends for a meal yesterday evening, first time we've ever actually sat down and chatted without toddlers/babies distracting us, was very nice and laid back.

I was thinking of borg the other day, she just popped into my mind, wonder how she is.

Ponyo - if we want a nosy? Grin

No summer holiday planned for this year, DH doesn't have access to his annual leave until October. I suggested he take L (on his own) to see his mum and grandmother in the autumn - he was surprisingly lukewarm about it. Grin

It's 26C today and I'm stuck inside at work. [weeps]

Tarlia · 22/05/2014 15:00

Hi Ladies, lovely to see some familiar faces! How are you all? It's been a very long time since I looked at the list to find the feb 2011 bus! Can you believe our little monsters darlings are almost 3.5?? Where does the time go?! Still get lots of amateurs dramatics here - anyone else?
Z now has a little brother! He has just turned 8 months old and a little ray of sunshine. Such a happy little thing and he sleeps when he isn't teething !!
Anyone feel like giving me a news summery? :)
Ledkr I cannot believe Ella is now a teen!! All make up, loud music and tantrums?

blizy · 26/05/2014 11:17

Just popping by to check in.
Tarlia hello my lovely, how good to hear from you! Congrats on your new(ish) addition.

Hope everyone is enjoying the BH weekend, I was at radio one gig yesterday, it was fab spent the whole day dancing (knackered now). Oh, ledkr I didn't feel too old!

Reastie · 26/05/2014 12:13

Hello Tarlia great to hear from you and congrats on the second.

Blizy radio 1 gig sounds fab Envy . Boring week end here. Lots of cleaning yesterday and DH works BH Mondays so just a usual day. I found the prettiest dress pattern for ALice I ever did see and so went and bought fabric to try to make it. Can't wait but bit worried it's going to be a bit hard as never actually followed a pattern. Had better work anyway, the amount the fabric etc cost me! Will put on pics of however it turns out when it's finished (not sure when I'll do it though as most definitely can't do this with Alice around!). Got lots of lovely plans for half term seeing friends etc.

Ponyo we await update of your house details [nosy]

PonyoLovesHam · 27/05/2014 21:04

Hello! Right here is the link to my house so you can all have a nosy hope it works
Just imagine all of the toys and clutter shoved out of the way whilst the woman was taking pics!

Anyway, blizy Grin how wonderful! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. How are you feeling?

Hi tarlia nice to hear from you, can't believe you have an 8month old too, wow! Sounds like things are going well :)

All is well here, A had a week of being an absolute pain in the arse, stroppy and refusing to do anything, so dp and I got stricter and stricter which involved some evenings with A screaming and crying for an hour it felt longer I'm surprised the neighbours didn't call social services. Anyway the last week she's been brilliant, so good and I've been praising her for it loads. I think she was just testing us a bit but it's so nice to have happy funny A back!

Emski76 · 28/05/2014 06:20

Wow Ponyo. Gorgeous house. Love love love the kitchen!!

Reastie · 28/05/2014 07:24

Love the linky ponyo . Lovely house especially that kitchen diner. That's what I want! A lovely big room to cook and eat in with doors out to the garden. Is it stressful having viewings and having to tidy etc for them? Have you found anywhere you like? FWIW Alice has been extremely testing recently. One day she was so defiant I actually couldn't believe it and did a Shock face. We do the naughty step which has worked but recently she just hasn't been bothered about it or has refused to sit on it despite me ignoring her and moving her back 100+ times. I'm debating another thing I saw on super nanny now which is where you have balls/shells or whatever and 2 jars and every time she's naughty she gets one in the naughty jar and when she's good one in the good jar, and then follow it up with if she has more in the good jar she can have a sticker for that day on the sticker chart. It sounds a bit tenuous and long winded there doesn't it. I'll try anything really as need to find something to work.

Meeting a new mner on Friday. We found out accidentally through a thread we live near each other and her DC are at the school DD may go to if we move her from where she is at nursery when she goes up to reception (potential problems with the schools future and dropping numbers) so if we did move her then she'd have a friend in her class which would be ace I'm a bit nervous though

Very hormonal here Confused . Ledkr did you ever find a cure for that PMT of yours? If so what was it? I swear mine is so much worse since having Alice, it's a battle every month.

Blizy how did DH react? I hope you are taking lots of care of yourself.
