Morning! Up early here, it's half term so Ella can lie in but dilly is desperate to get her up, it's hard work.

We are excited here because we are off to wychwood festival on Friday for the weekend, we are seeing the real thing, boomtown rats, the stranglers and the levellers to name a few, there's a comedy tent and a silent disco.

There is so much for the kids to do, puppet shows, magic shows, loads of different crafts, dance workshops and even a constant roald dhal story telling tent where they can just go and listen to a story.

Getorf and dolly are coming and dh and I are child free on the Friday as pils have the girls.

They will be joining us on Sat which will be funny as the three of us are fairly raucous at festivals so I expect a lot of looking down noses. Grin
Dh will have to take them off for a bit.

Are the dc all into frozen like mine? "Let it go!" Is the soundtrack to our lives at the moment Hmm

Hope you are all well xx

Ledkr · 28/05/2014 07:39

BLIZY!!!!! Sorry I only just saw your news. That's amazing, so pleased for you.
You seem more certain this time, last time you were pretty resigned to it not happening but now you are giving us dates and all sorts, I'm a great believer in instinct.

reatsie I found a fabulous cure yes! I had my ovaries out and am now the most balanced person on the planet. I can even tolerate the pil.
My premature menopause has been a doddle too, I just get a bit hot at night but that's it.

I'm off to nose at pony is house.

RobinSparkles · 28/05/2014 15:57

This slipped off Threads I'm On and it picked up! Typical!

Blizy huge congrats, my lovely! Thanks

Nice to see you Tarlia! Congratulations on your beautiful new boy. You might not remember me as I've name changed since our Antenatal thread and don't post on the postnatal thread as often as I used to.

Off to have a nosy at Ponyo's link! I love a bit of property porn.

RobinSparkles · 28/05/2014 16:16

Great House Ponyo! Are you finding it hard keeping it tidy for viewings? We moved last year and I found it a nightmare. We part Xd in the end. Will you be going far?

americanexpat · 28/05/2014 22:29

blizy - congrats, fingers crossed for you!

Ponyo - it looks like a lovely house, I'm Envy of your wood floors.

reastie - we had a challenging few weeks with L but were very strict about discipline and boundaries and he seems to have come out the other side. He's been really lovely the last couple weeks. Hopefully it's just a phase for Alice.

Tarlia - hello!

No Frozen here because I banned it thank god. Although he apparently knows the songs from nursery. Hmm

It's finally getting hot here, just in the nick of time since L has been asking to get the paddling pool out for months. Grin

RobinSparkles · 29/05/2014 06:10

We love Frozen here! Me as much as the DCs. Me and DD1 do a great duet of "Love Is An Open Door" Wink.

wigglesrock · 29/05/2014 09:03

Ponyo house looks fab, fingers crossed things move quickly for you.

We are still in Frozen mode but not so much with the DVD, Olivia likes playing Frozen scenarios, she tends to play Elsa in the ice castle & she controls the weather God complex. Anna has transferred her affections to The Pirate Fairy I miss Frozen

The weather held for the girls sports day, I'll join Olivia in my indifference to the day Grin. Some people take it waay seriously. I think my tipping point was when a parent told their five year old to stop waving, concentrate & "look down to the finishing line". Much preferred the girls P7 long distance race when they all stopped before the end & held hands so they could all finish together - not a dry eye in the house Blush

blizy how are you doing?

Ledkr · 29/05/2014 09:05

We had watched and sang to the entire frozen film by 8 o'clock today.

Reastie · 29/05/2014 12:14

We haven't seen frozen. I just haven't got around to it and Alice is nonethewiser. We'll catch it at some point but I keep hearing so much about it everywhere it makes me feel like I'm missing out on something.

Weather has been awful this week and Alice has been going a bit stir crazy. Finally managed a trip out to the playground this morning so hopefully that will exhaust her a bit more for bed time tonight. I think we need nursery to exhaust her into going to bed!

Wiggles I've been told Alice's sports day is very sweet. I think they may do a special nursery one. It's on my day off (thank goodness, I'm already worrying about the nativity being when I'm working) so will be there with bells on, not as a competitive Mum but for the awwwwww factor. There had better not be a parents race though as many of the other Mums look like big gym goers judging by the amount of lycra that gets worn for pick ups/drop off.

Alice's challenging behaviour continues. She was hitting DH when he was trying to get her to sleep last night Confused

Ah glad you all like the house and think it looks ok, viewings are going ok reastie and no we've not found anywhere yet, but not sold ours so that's ok! We've viewed a few just because we can and they are selling so quickly, we were meant to view one today but it was cancelled as someone had already put an offer in after it being online for a week!!

Robin to be honest we don't find it hard to keep it tidy but that's because we have a mad clean up before any viewings Grin dp had someone knock on the door for a look about today and the house was a bit messy but not too bad Hmm

We love frozen here! A does a very dramatic rendition of let it go. Sometimes I'm allowed to join in, sometimes I'm not Hmm though I still prefer tangled.

Wiggles pirate fairy, noooo! Wow to the competitive parents at sports day, that's a bit sad poor kids.

Reastie I had a similar time to American, had to get really strict but A seems to have sorted it (for now) and is fine. She truly was a nightmare before though and I had to walk away more than once otherwise I could have smacked her please don't judge me

It's our half term week here but A has been in nursery, sorry I mean pre school ;) all week, as I've been at work and dp is off but has a poorly neck. To be honest it's been better her bring in nursery, the weather has been awful and I've needed the car for work so dp would have been stuck inside or on the bus in the rain. Boo!

A starts dance lessons this Saturday, I'm ridiculously looking forward to it, I bet she hates it Grin

flusteredmumto2 · 30/05/2014 23:33

I've just found you lot again and
Yyyyaaaaaayyyyyyy Blizy if I could dance around the room i would but will have to settle for a fist pump whoop whoop.
Will try and catch up properly soon but I need to try and sleep.

PonyoLovesHam · 31/05/2014 21:34

Hello everyone, I took A to ballet this morning and she refused to join in and sat on my lap the whole time then we left early Hmm oh dear! Might try again in 2 weeks.
Flustered there was a little girl there who reminded me of Freya, she was really good at ballet! She was so cute and probably the best one there, and one of the youngest Smile

Otherwise had a lovely Saturday, hope everyone has too. Got BBQ tomo at friends then my best pal is here who lives abroad, I've missed her loads can't wait to see her Grin

Grannyapple · 31/05/2014 21:47

Yay blizy...absolutely bloody amazing news...how did DH take the news? Did you end up going to your appt after the last time?

Sorry not been on much...work, refurb-renovation & being preggo again taking over slightly! But builders have pretty much finished up today (need a heat detector I stalked & building ctrl visit & that's it!)...Nate is now in his new room, albeit with hardly any furniture as we're moving it all back in tomorrow. But we're really pleased with it & cannot wait to get some much needed normal sleeping patterns back!

Had 20 wk scan yesterday...found out we're having a boy Smile. Tho I'm going to be outnumbered in thus house now, so Amelia & I are going need to form a pact I think!

Enjoy the festival ledkr!

ponyo house looks fab...hope it sells quickly & you guys get what you're looking for. Market down here is a bit mental at the mo...surely it can't last?!

Hope everyone is surviving half term despite the rubbish weather (tho today was OK).

Grannyapple · 31/05/2014 21:49

Apologies for typos...excited as Indian takeaway deluvery has finally arrived Grin

flusteredmumto2 · 31/05/2014 22:15

Ponyo I really want freya to start ballet but a friend of mine who is an ex dancer said to wait a year or so as baby ballet can sometimes be a bit chaotic and just fun whereas the older first year ballet can be a bit more about the technical. We'll see whats around when we've movedto Bristol. Both of them will be starting swimming lessons so I'll see how they go with that.

Yay to a boy granny. I'm nearly 30 weeks now and we're having a girl, though we still can't agree on a shortlist for names.

Blizy How did DH take it??

blizy · 01/06/2014 11:47

Thanks ladies, dh and I both cried like babies when I told him. I've feeling really grotty, nauseas and knackered but I can't bloody sleep!

Flustered, wow to 30 weeks! How has your pregnancy been so far? I hope you are doing ok.

Granny, another little boy, how fab! I postponed the appointment. So glad I did that now.

Right better go and shower, have a family party this afternoon.

Ledkr · 01/06/2014 12:07

Checking in from wychwood. We are having a fab time here danced for hours weather is lush.
Dilly has done ballet since just over two but because my other kids and me danced she was encouraged to go early.
She does a very disciplined ballet class and copes very well with it. I agree tho the messing about ones are fun but not ballet.
Looking forward to a boogie later to Craig Charles and the boomtown rats

Grannyapple · 01/06/2014 12:26

What a musical combo ledkr..sounds ace!

Ah, brilliant fabby news blizy...glad you're feeling rotten (in a nice way of course!)...all good signs!

Kt1991 · 01/06/2014 12:31

Hey everyone I know I'm 3 and a bit years late to the thread! but would I be able to join? I have a DS who was born on the 1st Feb 2011,and currently 25 weeks pregnant with DS 2!
Having a 3 year old is very challenging and hectic at times isn't it!, but DS is such a character, this age is great as they can respond and understand so much! (A bit too much sometimes!)

RobinSparkles · 01/06/2014 14:59

Hi all! Hope you're all having a lovely weekend and enjoying the sunshine!

Ponyo I took L to ballet as I thought she would love it. She's always dancing and twirling round the house. The first week she joined in with a big grin on her face but near the end of the lesson her face crumpled, she burst into tears and wouldn't join back in. The second time she wouldn't join in at all so I'm going to leave it until she's older. It was quite a disciplined class but lovely.

She's quite shy by nature and has never really been left until recently when she started nursery so she might be happier to join in when she's older and is out of her shell a bit.
I loved seeing all the little ones in their ballet outfits though. They looked so sweet and some of them were really into it!

Welcome to the thread Kt1991! It's quite quiet at times but these ladies are a lovely bunch.

Granny congratulations on your little boy! How lovely Thanks.

It's DD1's birthday tomorrow! 7 years old, where does the time go?

flusteredmumto2 · 01/06/2014 22:41

Blizy.. I'm sorry you're feeling grotty but I'm only sorry a little bit as the other bit is still going yay.
Pregnancy is horrific this time round. Its been so hard. Hyperemesis the first 16 weeks (I lost over 2 stone) then from 23 weeks I developed severe spd and I'm about to go on crutches to try and help the pain. I've had 3 big bleeds, the last one only last week which have all been cervical but still scary. Now I'm on the home stretch I only have 3 assignments left so I'm nearly finished until uni starts anyway.

Anyway its oh and mine anniversary this week and we have a night away without the kids, I can't bleeding wait! I can't believe its been a year and I'm ready to pop and planning to move in together in only a few weeks. I would never have dreamt 2 and a half years ago after xp left I would be quite as happy or doing what I'm doing. Sometimes life really is unexpected.

Hope you've all enjoyed your weekend.

Cake for all xx

blizy · 02/06/2014 09:05

Poor you flustered, defo sounds like you have had a rough time. I hope the next10weeks fly past for you.

flusteredmumto2 · 02/06/2014 11:04

Only 8 weeks blizy as I'll be having a section at 38 weeks. All I have to think is that in 2 months I will have her and I'll be moving away and starting fresh as a family of 5 and that gets me through it.

Ledkr · 02/06/2014 18:19

Flustered I had severe spd with both girls, osteopathy made it far more bearable.
My osteopath she'd Oliver in the original and was a close friend of Michael Jackson!
That was a claim to fame until recently when he bizarrely claimed to have fathered his children Hmm
Slightly mental but he did cure my spd!

Do I win a prize for most random post ever?

Reastie · 02/06/2014 18:31

You win most confusing post ledkr but maybe that's me being thick or it's just too bizarre to compute!

Flustered sounds awful, at least you can count it down now and have a lovely little girl at the end. Enjoy your night off.

Blizy , in the nicest way possible, hope you're feeling rubbish!

Hello Kt

Alice has her nursery class photo tomorrow. I've been given strict instructions by the school to send her in with neat hair and polished shoes Hmm . Maybe all schools are like this but I don't like being told what to do Grin
