Argh. Insomnia sucks.

PetiteRaleuse · 07/01/2014 08:27

Omg the link on the cock thread is gross. Why do men think images of themselves, erm, standing to attention, is interesting? I was having a lovely leisurely breakfast of mini eggs and nearly choked.

Kyz · 07/01/2014 08:28

Morning. There's a cock Fred?

Today can take a running jump methinks.

PetiteRaleuse · 07/01/2014 08:32

Yeah some troll posted links to pictures of himself.

Elizadoesdolittle · 07/01/2014 08:52

oh dear kyz. Any particular reason why?

I'm off to a zumba class this evening with a friend who is a fitness freak whereas I haven't done anything that can be described as a proper work out since E was born. Going to be interesting! Mind you I'm not sure zumba can be described as a work out.

E's favourite new thing is to walk up and down the living room using her walker. Feel bad as it's been sitting unused upstairs for ages. DD1 is very impressed and claps and cheers her on. Is very cute when she's not dragging her around.

Kyz · 07/01/2014 09:09

Oh gosh! Well, it takes all sorts, I guess!

Funeral eliza :( my mum is having e as he isn't supposed to go apparently but I have been asked to take him to the wake bit

Good luck with your Zumba, it kills me when I do it so I'd class it as a work out but then I am seriously unfit and lazy when it comes to exercise

fruitpastilles · 07/01/2014 09:23

Hugs kyz hope today isn't too awful.

det I actually thought S was quite behind when I saw the video of O babbling, she babbles but nothing like O, he actually uses expression. S doesn't, she just makes noise. I was worried but after reading about all the other quiche babies, not so much now. They are all different and will all do things in their own time. I must remember that myself when I'm stressing.

isles I loooove that bed. I'd happily have it for myself. I am rubbish at interior decor/design. Our house is so plain, I just don't have an eye for it. I so want S to have a lovely bedroom that she will love but it just ain't gonna happen!
She ripped a big bit of her wallpaper yesterday, it's only been decorated a couple of months the little monkey. Luckily it didn't actually come off so we should be able to just paste it back on.

StormyIsles · 07/01/2014 09:27

vq it keeps making a yawning sound. I thought it was the dog,and then skype but nope. Very confusing. It just does it randomly. Sometimes every 2 mins, then not again for hours. I thought I was imagining it for a while!! Still no clue what it was.

This mornings drop off was much easier. Only a slight wobbly lip. Apparently she settled within 5mins yesterday and cried when dp picked her up! Contrary wee soul.

Hope today goes okay kyz. Hmm I took m to a funeral about 2 months ago and it was surprisingly manageable.

eliza your video is very cute.

I have a study day at work today. Must. Stop. Procrastinating. Confused

StormyIsles · 07/01/2014 09:30

Thanks fruit - dp thinks it should be quite easy to make. (It's nearly a grand to buy!!! Sod that!)

QQ M is sleeping much better, but do any of the other quiche babies sleep like this: almost on her knees, face down, arms outstretched. Like she's in the foetal position. It's very odd and no matter how often I move her, she always ends up the same way. I'll take a photo of her tonight. Hmm

Yaaaaawn. We drove from Derbyshire home to Fife last night. Left at 7pm - in at 1am. Jonas slept the entire way (bar a quick feed at Tebay, best services in the UK!!! We can't drive past it Blush) and then slept til 8am so the plan worked awesomely! Now just got to sort out the post Christmas house Confused

Sleeping bum in the air always used to mean a baby with an uncomfy wet bum but I don't think they feel it with modern nappies? Hmm My ex's wee girl was an arse in the air sleeper its v funny. J's all pre-Raphaelite hands in the air when he sleeps.

J's words are : Mama, Mummy, Dada, Daddy, Ta, Bets (Betsy), daah (down, still thinks it's the dog's name), more, no, yes, book, bath, that, nom nom, the cat still gets a squeal, there's a few other goodies too that make me laugh - he's got a lot of chat ATM!

Lily311 · 07/01/2014 11:14

Inspire me pls, where are you all going on holiday if you are going? And is it madness to go with a toddler on my own?

GTbaby · 07/01/2014 11:23

Didn't think you'd noticed me going Blush just been a couple of shitty weeks.
Me n FH go on 6month cycles and we are currently in the middle of a bad patch. Last was the hospital drunk incident.
It's not drink fuelled this time. Think we are both tiered and snappy.

We have a blessing at temple for H and A. We were planning on doing it at H bday. But fil being in hospital delayed plans. Which is adding to stress.

Also have decide a new tack with mil. I ask her to help telling her what to do. Rather then expect her to offer. It's were I've been going wrong Hmm working better. And she can't say no. It's helping my stress level a lil.

Now just need to avoid confrontation with Fucking twat of a H. Just remembered its wed. But it's not. It's Tuesday! Well I'm early, we ain't had a proper swearing wed in ages.

StormyIsles · 07/01/2014 11:30

lily I don't think so! The only reasons I am not taking m abroad is her lack of passport and the fact I want to do at least some dives with dp and would be reluctant to leave her with strangers.

I am looking at Malta/Gozo; Mexico (not for diving) and Portugal at the moment. Although won't be booking anything until my house sale goes through so location will be dependant upon spare money's afterwards. Realistically I think we'll probably just do centre parks and a uk based city break this year with m, maybe a couple of wild camping trips on the west coast so we can do some diving, and save for a decent foreign holiday for my birthday next April.

We also need to replace the big car this year as I reckon it won't be financially viable to put it through an mot so I'm looking at an expensive year with not a lot of spare cash for holidays Sad

A friend with a baby ages with ours is just back from Cyprus and raves about it being perfect with littlies.

GTbaby · 07/01/2014 11:34

Croatia was nice lily. Resort we stated in wasn't super busy. And having an apartment meant we could cook. Which we didn't. But breakfast and lunch was easier.
I hate breakfast on holiday. I get annoyed paying so much for toast or cereal but a proper breaky is to much.

PetiteRaleuse · 07/01/2014 11:35

I am not allowed to go on holiday at the moment. But once all this is over we are thinking of a week in the Pyrenees at some point to see DH's grandmother and possibly a trip to Lancashire in the second half of July. Depending on work situation of course.

YellowWellies · 07/01/2014 11:37

My new lamp from the JL sale arrived whilst we were away. I love it!!

I'm just under 10.5 stone am well chuffed Smile .

Lily holidays depend on how much our wood burner costs - if we can afford it I'd love a trip to Galicia in northern Spain or somewhere on the Italian coast. Otherwise we'll just do long weekends around Scotland Smile . We're off to Centre Parcs with family at the end of this month with 5 under fives (waaaahhhh!)

applepieinthesky · 07/01/2014 11:39

Portugal is very child friendly. We are going either there or the Canary Islands in June. Then might do a city break later in the year.

I've been trying to get through to the registry office all morning but the bloody line is busy Sad

PetiteRaleuse · 07/01/2014 11:49

We wanted to go to the Canaries in February but my issues won't be solved on time Angry

fruitpastilles · 07/01/2014 11:51

We are going to Egypt, we went a couple of years ago so pre S and loved it. The hotel we stayed in was very child friendly and had a brilliant kiddies pool - all set up like a pirate ship so we will most likely stay there again. I was actually gutted I didn't have a child when we went because I wanted to play in the kids bit myself Blush . We'll probably go in October when it's not as hot. Dp and I have very fair skin ginger and lilly White S is much the same.

Elizadoesdolittle · 07/01/2014 12:04

We've done spain, cyprus and Portugal. All were fab and very child friendly. Most holidaying places tend to be. In fact the uk is probably one of the more child unfriendly places!
We are going back to spain this year purely as it's a shorter flight.

You're not mad at all lily, go for it. I'd quite happily go with my 2 alone if I had too. considering taking them both to Dubai to visit my friend. will have accommodation when there but a 7hr flight by myself with both of them will be interesting! Anyway got to see what's happening with house move before I can decide.

Elizadoesdolittle · 07/01/2014 12:08

oh and gt nice to see you back. Glad you are getting on better with mil but sorry to see FH is back to being FH!

Passmethecrisps · 07/01/2014 12:20

Stayed home today. Just settled to watch Sherlock. Oh. My. Goodness. Me. If I didn't have a fever before then cripes!

Think I have a celeb crush

Elizadoesdolittle · 07/01/2014 13:11

pass you're not the only one. my fb feed is full of people gushing over him (male and female). I'm a bit partial to him too swoons
