I agree I think we'd all be surprised by how much they understand.

ChasingDaisy · 06/01/2014 16:57

Another constant babbler here. The only words we have are no, mumum, da-dee and dog. Oh and brum brum for car and mmmm for yummy. He understands a lot more than this though. When he hears music he dances. We have also been practicing animal noises, although for penguins we waddle. When asked what penguins do he waddles Grin I'm not unnecessarily worried that he doesn't have many words as I can see that he understands a lot more than he says.

PetiteRaleuse · 06/01/2014 17:19

Oh I forgot LO says poo. Often.

Sophiathestormfairy · 06/01/2014 18:00

Ahhhhhhhh you end of thread thief lily Grin

Lily311 · 06/01/2014 18:00

Sorry sophia ;).

Lily311 · 06/01/2014 18:01

At least I finished with your name?

Sophiathestormfairy · 06/01/2014 18:04

No it said "me?"

Lily311 · 06/01/2014 18:11

Check again, I'm pretty sure it's your name with a question mark...

ChasingDaisy · 06/01/2014 18:14

I've never finished a thread! Dibs on this one!

So operation self settle has begun. O has had bath, Calpol, teething gel, milk, story and been rocked until calm. He is now in cot. Awake but not making a sound. 5 mins and counting...

Sophiathestormfairy · 06/01/2014 18:17

Ahh yes so it did.

Right. Someone motivate me to get my kit o. And go and get some exercise.

Lydiejo · 06/01/2014 18:23

Thanks for thinking of me misslaugh Smile Doing good other then being sick! Mostly now it's just an awful sore throat.

L's favorite word is still no. She says it a lot, especially when someone other then me, DH, or my mom picks her up. I think it's kinda funny... But I feel bad she even does it to my sisters. She also says nana for banana or more food. And the last couple days I'm pretty sure she said mama! I'm so happy.

fruitpastilles · 06/01/2014 18:24

Good luck chasing I hope he goes to sleep. I tried with S last night and she was just hysterical. So I went and got her in the end.
She had a bad night last night, slept for about 40 mins then woke up screaming and didn't go back to sleep until nearly midnight. I can see her top teeth coming through though so that would explain it. Hope she has a better night tonight because I want to watch breaking bad

ChasingDaisy · 06/01/2014 18:31

Um. He self settled. Straight away. No crying. Fucking awesome.

fruitpastilles · 06/01/2014 18:44

Woohoo!

Passmethecrisps · 06/01/2014 19:05

Great job chasing!

P babbles constantly. Never stops. She understands a fair amount now. I asked her the other day where bedtime bunny was. She pointed into the sitting room. I asked her to get him and she did.

She says mumumumumumumumumum a lot but usually a bit whiny like it means something bad.

Nothing recognisable as words though.

Sophiathestormfairy · 06/01/2014 19:15

Great job chasing

Well, I motivated myself. Got my kit on. Went down there and no sign of life whatsoever. Confused

Sophiathestormfairy · 06/01/2014 19:16

So I will just blob here.

applepieinthesky · 06/01/2014 19:24

pidj It might vary where you are but here we have to check availability first and provisionally book date, time, location with the registrar. This can be done over the phone. I have to pay a £50 deposit at this point. Then you make an appointment to go into the office and give notice. They will tell you which documents to bring with you but usually passport/birth certificate and proof of address. When you go along to the appointment the two of you are seen separately. After 15 days you are free to marry. Not sure if you have to go back into the registry office to pick up the paperwork or if they keep hold of it? Must find out. Here we have to pay the balance two months prior to the ceremony.

applepieinthesky · 06/01/2014 19:25

You can change the date, time etc but our registry office charges a £30 fee to do so.

PurplePidjin · 06/01/2014 19:28
Thanks
BigPigLittlePig · 06/01/2014 19:48

Ooh love a bit of wedding chat.

Not sure what happened last night, after my last post F was up for 3 hours. I ended up kipping on her bedroom floor as dsds bed is out of action due to cleaning frenzy.

Chasing, awesome news about O settling! Nice work O. Obviously al that wearing him out worked.

Sophia, I will slob with you. Chocolate?

As ever am amazed by the differences between all the babies. Love these little updates at the start of a new fred.

GT nice to see you lovely lady.

PurplePidjin · 06/01/2014 19:57

I have almonds and raisins as, on top of R's caffeine intolerance, it makes my period cramps worse ShockAngrySad

Feel free to pick me a frock, points awarded for shepherdess-like tendencies and frills. If anyone can find a furbelow they get a prize Wink

PurplePidjin · 06/01/2014 19:57

*slobbing. Am not upset Hmm

StormyIsles · 06/01/2014 20:03

PP do you have pinterest? I have a pinterest wedding board for if it ever happens Hmm One can dream, right?

Long day at work. M chilled 5 mins after I left and enjoyed dancing and terrorising library staff. She is wired tonight.

StormyIsles · 06/01/2014 20:06

In the time it took me to write that post, M has found my work pass in my handbag and is currently sitting singing to and kissing my ghastly photo Smile
