I was devastated when I stopped riding horsey (due to a confidence crises caused by spooky horse) so can only imagine what you must be feeling now Sad

My stupid cold has turned into an even more stupid chesty cough. It bloody hurts. I hate being ill and having nobody to moan to about it. My dad has the same cold - we both caught it from O - and he was moaning to me about it saying he didn't know how he would be able to look after O for an hour during my driving lesson tomorrow as he feels so rough. Erm, I've got it too and I'm looking after O 24/7. Alone. He chose the wrong person to moan to.

Blah. Need a cuddle. Pillow will have to do. Night all x

PetiteRaleuse · 25/11/2013 22:20

chasing if it hurts could be bronchitis so watch O's cough (if he still has one) in case that gets chesty too. Don't want to mention the b word but worth keeping an eye on.

PurplePidjin · 25/11/2013 22:23

horsey with the horse meat burger scandal, we've got an excess of ponies down here. How about a nice little New Forester to train up for E? There are far too many Animal Fatality signs up at the moment the stupid ones normally get flogged to the French Sad

Lydie start with Woolly Hugs as you mentioned making things. We have contributors from Canada and New Zealand, I'm sure there are some North Americans too. You also mentioned cloth wipes, are you in reusable nappies? I adore my Kushies although have British all in ones for dp/my mum (had a stroke so struggles with fine motor stuff/can't be bothered respectively) :)

Elizadoesdolittle · 25/11/2013 22:26

I actually don't like calling him Santa, I think Father Christmas is much nicer! pr Will put my fave photo of DD1 meeting father christmas on fb. Always makes me chuckle bad mummy.

GTbaby · 25/11/2013 23:49

Shock Sugar rush.
Think I've worked out why I can't sleep. Wink

A is being a pain tonight. N FH is tiered. He has Been on earlies and went to straight to bed after sorting H out.
He grumbled earlier about being constantly disturbed. He knows were the spare bed is! But will he move? Fuckwitt. Let me have the whole bed!

flouncymcflouncerson · 25/11/2013 23:59

Still here still in pain and still have a non sleeping son. That is all.

itsnotyouitsMeals · 26/11/2013 00:43

Hugs to flouncy mc lily pidj chasing horsey pig gt and anyone else who needs them.

Yay to evil and vq.

Hi to lydie.

S'up? To everyone else.

Am a bit sad also today about my lovely little I not being able to enjoy her birthday and me having to work when she's ill. Am worried about her going to nursery too. I know she'll be fine and with DD1 but she's a real mummy's girl and DD1 was looked after at home by grandmas until she was 2 on the two days we both work. The grandpas are too old/ill to be left for two nights every other week now. Sad about them too.

Am lucky really so shouldn't complain. But you know.

itsnotyouitsMeals · 26/11/2013 00:44

Thinking of you flouncy. You're not alone.

MsJupiterJones · 26/11/2013 01:43

Sorry to hear it flouncy. Thanks

Hugs to everyone who has been sad or ill today or who would just like a hug. Glad the quiche is here to stand by with support and care. Thanks

Still have a mumpy boy here. His glands seemed better during the day - although he was very ratty and clingy and he also has a streaming cold and cough - but tonight they are very swollen again and he has been waking up very distressed. 2nd dose of Calpol has been administered so hopefully he'll get some sleep.

I had mumps (with c pox) as a child, must have been awful if L's are just mild symptoms. My DSis had it too and we all went to stay in my Nan's caravan for a few days to recuperate and get some fresh air.

Thank goodness for vaccines!

flouncymcflouncerson · 26/11/2013 02:07

Thanks meals and jj. I'd just love him to sleep in his cot for more than two hours :(

Lily311 · 26/11/2013 05:02

I have been awake since 3. O decided to keep me occupied for an hour but she is back in her bed now. Need to sort out my insomnia. On the good side I ordered some Xmas presents and packed a couple of boxes.

Hugs for everyone. I'm feeling better today. Having a massage this am to help my back.

Hugs all round to those in need -- always so much to catch up on.

Det / yw our dietician said to transition to oatly. G likes it luckily - but is still bf. My goal is 14m to get him comfortably past 1.

It is his birthday today! This time last yr I had 40 mins to go before meeting him and gas and air was my new best friend. We had a lovely party for him on sat which he and dd loved - but I think today will be a bit of a write off as dd1 has a high temp and threw up last night (at the mention of medicine) poor little love.

Luis lovely to hear from you - been thinking of you and j. Great to hear you are all doing so well though sorry you are still so screwed with sleep. Dd's speech is also coming on. She attempts a lot of words now and puts some together but they would be very hard to understand if she wasn't signing too. I suspect verbal dyspraxia on top of her other issues. We have fortnightly speech therapy on the nhs still for now but that will end soon (it was investigative therapy looking at palette weakness which she doesn't have, luckily) so back to our private salt. I would be very interested though to hear more about what you did salt wise beyond the usual.

Zamboni · 26/11/2013 05:50

Happy birthday G!!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 26/11/2013 06:11

Enjoy your massage lily

Hugs to flouncy and horsey

I haven't stopped riding I am just having a break as I don't have time with the children. I too have a small confidence crisis after an accident just before I fell pregnant with DD1 ( Infact it will be 10 years ago in a couple of weeks) and I had to be put back together under general aneasthetic, but I did ride I between DCs 1&2 and then 2&3. I think I just ride less camacazi differently

Ok so the day I want to get boys up early and off to nursery O decided to sleep in. Hmm

Lily311 · 26/11/2013 06:12

Happy birthday to minibry

FatimaLovesBread · 26/11/2013 06:41

Morning all
Can't remember if I posted on Sat on not, too high on wine life!

M had a fab day. Hope O and L had fun too.

Happy birthday to minipig, GT and MiniBry!

Hello Luis and welcome Lydie

Ridiculously hectic this week, still tidying up after Ms party, work all week and then going to London thurs night-Sunday. I'll be back on later to ask for recs of places to go.

M must still be worn out from her birthday, yesterday at MILs she did 2.5hr nap am, 2hrs PM then went to bed at 8 and has just woken now!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 26/11/2013 07:03

Happy birthday baby bry

Keep meaning to say yw great news about your freelancing you must be so pleased. You may find later on a trip away is good, you get a bit of you/adult time even if it is work. I used to be away every couple of weeks or so and though I missed everyone it was equally good to be Sophia and not mummy.

YellowWellies · 26/11/2013 07:06

He slept through! His teeth must be calming down..... He always sleeps through after nursery actually? I wonder if he'd like to go more often? Hmm Grin

YellowWellies · 26/11/2013 07:09

Sophia true but it would force me to wean him... Confused and given I can video conference and wouldn't be allowed put on my own in SA / let alone have a Wine it doesn't seem an ideal destination for a jolly.

StuntNun · 26/11/2013 07:15

SIL is still in labour afaik. I told my DB not to worry about notifying anyone when the baby arrives and to enjoy the first moments. My DM is going frantic with excitement but she can always phone the ward for updates it's what she did during my labours.

DH has just left for Japan. Due to a fuck up of epic proportions a courier is supposed to be meeting him at Heathrow with his passport. He's already missed a day of the session due to said fuck up (he was supposed to fly out yesterday) so I hope the passport makes an appearance on schedule.

J has his MMR today which is obviously no fun for anyone. Confused It's a reminder to me that this is the age when autism symptoms can start to show. DS1 is high functioning so he has no speech issues, and, unusually for autism, still likes cuddles. DS2 isn't autistic so we'll just have to wait and see with J.

PetiteRaleuse · 26/11/2013 07:33

yw I can honestly say that I can't think of a worse place for a jolly :o

Morning all. Happy birthday miniBry.

soph when I had my riding accident there was no kamikaze. We were troyting round an imdoor school. Warming up. Pony spooked, I wasn't paying attention, landed badly. It is all v Blush

Nursery drop off for LO, GP with dd1, then off to the shops.

ChasingDaisy · 26/11/2013 08:00

Happy Birthday babybry!

O's sleep has gone to shit since being poorly and to top it off I have woken up with no voice. Wonderful. This time a year ago I was extremely nervous at the thought of being induced tomorrow.

Fatima, I will be joining in the London chat with interest as we are off there next week.

GTbaby · 26/11/2013 08:17

As BCG jab is ozzing pus. He winced when I moved his sleeve to see. Might explain why he has been so disturbed.
What do I do? As in let it just come out? Plaster? How shall I clean? Didn't have this with H

StuntNun · 26/11/2013 08:35

Don't put a plaster on it GT it needs to be open to the air. Just keep it clean. My DS2's healed up really well but after 18 months DS1's is still red and sore looking even though it's closed. H was just luckier than A, I expect.
