Thanks yw I have told my friend just that.

Hi lydie

pass loving your welcome. It reminds me of one of DH's friends who used to get ridiciously excited when one of his mates got a new girlfriend as it was someone new to the group (who he then proceeded to hit on).

No words or walking here. E does stand, in fact she loves it and stands for ages but not unaided. She did one handed for a bit today. Hmmm I say she stands for ages, she hasn't got the knack of sitting back down so sometimes she just wails until someone rescues her! She does babble and say mamama but no coherent words. If you say peekabo she puts her hands over her eyes but that's no fantastic achievement.

He's not daft Chasing, that sounds like the quickest way!

I've just been on our company's website and there's a photo of me on the homepage Confused. Is this their way to welcome me back on Monday?!

I must admit I am a bit scared of these winds. Our house is in a wind tunnel and we have just been out on the garden trying to kill the 10ft trampoline with a picnic table. The table is very very heavy so I hope it holds it. The trampoline was bouncing around the garden with the legs and net broken off. It took the slides down and we caught it just as it was heading over the wall towards our neighbours very posh cars. Fuck me!

Gosh VQ, sounds scary! Hope the table holds!

S was asleep by 6, in our bed by 8 (I wasn't in bed but went up when she woke) and has now been despatched back into her cot. I wonder how long for this time?

Gosh vq. Sounds scary. Reminds me of a BBQ that I was at where a gazebo took off and ended up on my friends neighbours conservertory roof. Course we all thought it was hilarious as we were slightly inabriated. Not so funny was my friend climbing out of her bathroom window, along the roof of her extension and retrieving the gazebo. Very silly especially as she was 4 months pregnant. (she wasn't pissed which is why she thought it was sensible that she did it!). Anyway, I have completley digressed, hope the table holds it!

My DH reguarly takes the piss out of me for mumsnetting (in a nice way). When he was asking about abreviations he said do I call him AH instead of DH. I said what?....arsehole husband. He meant amazing husband. Hmm. Did make me giggle.

I love this quiche sometimes! I've just giggled my way through the days posts!

Lily Happy birthday to O! What book did you get her?

Happy birthday also to PR. Did you get your lunch out?!

Hi Lydie! Wot Pass said! And good luck putting names to, errrrr, names! Grin

BP Friday is cake day here! I am doing a chocolate sponge. Aldi do a chocolate cake mix, dairy/soya free. So I'm doing that because it's cheap Grin.

I've got 3 days off work now, so we are all go go go for getting prepared for O's birthday! I've wrapped his presents and decided he doesn't have enough. Please don't kill me! I might fish another gift out from under the bed for him!

I'm having a flap over the baby party foods. I feel mean doing it dairy free as it might be a bit rubbish for the other babies? Here is my list - does anyone have any inspiration before I go off to google! Ham sandwiches, egg mayo sandwiches, breadsticks, cucumber sticks, chopped grapes and strawberries, bananas (not sure if to slice, as they might go a bit funny?), raisins, sweetcorn rings, oat and raisin biscuits, home made muffins, jelly and birthday cake. It's for 5 babies.

I've not even thought about the adults.

VQ have you seen the pic I posted on FB of Kirkwall harbour today. Crazy stormy up there too. It's not so bad here in Fife. Sat in the kitchen with me coffee and R4 today listening to the wind I realised how different the wind sounds in an urban area and how it would have scared me in our isolated house on the island but I felt much safer here in a town.

Mindst it did hit 135mph one night on the island (ever seen a uPVC door and bay window flex in the wind?) DH was in Aberdeen. Me and the cat, crapping ourselves, slept in the windowless hall (I was convinced a window was going to blow) with a torch, wellies and bottle of whisky. Even with the telly on volume 50 I couldn't hear a word over the noise of the gale. It was like a train! Neeeeever been so scared nor so delighted to wake up hungover with the cat in my face Smile . A pal's greenhouse ended up with each pane of glass embedded two foot deep a field away.

Haha Chasing L does the same with the shape sorter. He looks at me like, why would I put them through the little holes when I can take the lid off?

He is always his full name btw, or else bear/monkey etc. No shortenings so far. My mum recently told me why she refused to say his name for the first few months (she would actually shudder if it came up) but said she is over it now.

VQ that sounds v scary! I hope you have got it secured.

Omg omg omg! I have just read that J.K Rowling is writing/has nearly written the 8th Harry Potter book. I sooooo hope this is true! yes I am a saddo

det the food sounds fine to me. You are brave with the strawberries though, S is always a right old state when she's eaten them, as is her high chair.
I found a present in our wardrobe that I had forgotten to give to S, she had that much off all the family though that I have been mean and kept it back for Christmas Grin

det sounds like a fine feast to me.

jj & chasing. It isn't the fisher price first blocks shape sorter is it? It annoys me as the lid is so easy to take off. E does enjoy putting things in it and taking them out. Mostly anything but the actual shapes you are supposed to use with it!

Eliza ahh but Orkney is famous for its wind. I was daft to be surprised by it. I remember regularly on the many stormy nights after we'd taken J home from hospital trying to figure out if his cot was downwind of the chimney stack as I was convinced in one 100+ mph storm, surely, it was going to come thru the ceiling. Orcadians do tend to get sarcastic and shouty when bad weather in England hits the news Grin

Haha oh my, I don't understand it one bit but thanks for the welcome Pass. And everyone else. I hope I don't seem like too much of an intruder. Sounds like you all are having some crazy weather. It was snowing here this afternoon. It started right around the time DH was flying out for an interview which of course got me worried. I am always scared that he will die while away traveling, very irrational of me. Well it looks like it is probably getting late and you have all gone to bed. Oh and I got really excited about Harry Potter #8 only to be crushed.

Also, I'm excited because I'm having some friends over tonight to crochet. Do any of you crochet?

We do have crochet bods on here!

Not me! I've got fat fingers and the patience of a bear with a sore head.

I can't sleep. To much to do. No time to do it!

I hope it does not snow. If it snows I will be out at 6am at the shops getting nothing but party food and cocktail sticks. Hmm

His, I replied. It's O's turn to get up and put himself back to sleep!

Luckily, it seems, he has. For now.

Crochet! I love it. Started lady year. Made my lil one a blanket.
Currently trying to make my bro a scarf. Thought it would be quick. But with two babies keeping me busy i have not got much done at all. Fx for being finished by Xmas.

I also have a gift for H still wrapped up from bday. Considering sticking it under Xmas tree. Blush Was also going to wrap up a gift he was given when born. A toy car. I know I'm being mean, but he has so many toys and he needs nothing.

H is 13months also. He coasts and can climb steps. He can get down from sofa and has started to try climb onto it. It's funny when he uses his walker... Only does so when his cousins are over and will try get him to use it. He takes a few steps then sits down. Then they encourage him more, few more steps n down again.

Speaking wise he says mamam which is food, I think he is copying me saying yumyum when I feed him. And the cutest thing in the world he says baby when he hears/sees the baby.
He did brum brum noises when playing with his cars other day.

And he LOVES books. He spends ages opening the pages, turning the book around untill he has the edge that opens. He will drag them over while crawling to us. Which I think is hilarious.

He does the namaste sign when you say hello in punjabi and waves when you say byebye.
Eliza I think peekaboo sign is brilliant!

This is a good conv. Just other day I was thinking H doesn't do much/learnt anything new. But listing it here makes me think actually he is doing ok.

Chasing impressed by shape sorter! H has a walker which you put a ball into and it comes out at bottom. His cousin thought him how to do it while I looked on thinking why is he bothering? He won't be able to do that

Thing H can't do! Drink from his sippy cup. It's driving me nuts that he still doesn't have this skill.

Hmm can't remember what else.

Off to see Santa tomorrow Grin A n H have matching t shirts. So excited.
Although badly timed as A is getting his 8week jabs tomorrow morning. Now I remember H slept all day after his jabs... Which works in our favour. But if he ends up being a grouchy baby it's going to make our trip out very difficult.

Right, need to fall asleep. Arghhhh I'm going to hit snoring FH.

det I got her Olivia by Ian falconer. I actually bought her 5 Olivia books for £10 on amazon so that's Xmas and birthday sorted for 2 years.

O is cruising along furnitures but gets scared by standing alone. Her vocabulary is very advanced and she can't do the shape sorter.

I forgot the mention yesterday, I blew up 20 balloons. Guess what? She is dead scared of them. I had to remove them as she was frightened. Weird child.

And I'm very impressed with myself. Wrote an assignment last night though still need to finish it off by proof reading. I hate assignments, they are punishments. And I can't not leave them till last minute. Grrr.
