I'm thankful for the Mumsnet low carb diet which has enabled me to lose 30 lb over the past five months. I'm now back to my pre-pregnancy weight. GrinGrinGrin

Forgot about thankful Thursday. I'm thankful for winter tyres, for my new shrink who I will be seeing later on for free, and to my DH for being my DH.

I realised this morning that I didn't speak to my mum yesterday, though she did send me an email yday morning. My first birthday without a chat with my mum :(

Eliza yes it is the fisher price one. I agree it's pretty easy to get the lid off but on the plus side it means it has kept his interest for quite a long time. It appeals to his love of putting things inside things and taking them out again! (I'm currently watching him put all his toy food into its crate)

Btw he got the toot toot garage for his bday and tbh I'm not that impressed. Anyone else got it? If you have the cars and the garage switched on for the interactive element, they all talk over each other and it feels like your head will explode! Also things like the car lift are impossible to use without flipping the cars off. Anyway sorry if anyone has bought it for Xmas but that's my review!

This is thread three : www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/1916881-MotherOfDragon-thread-number-three

The other two were deleted because OP gave lots of details and made herself v outable and people posted her office address etc Hmm shich is a shame as they were really god threads with so much more than is on thread three.

Has anyone been following the ghost in the office threads? Actually had a nightmare about it last night Blush

It's cake baking day! Although still haven't decided what shape to do main bday cake. About to google. I was meant to whilst eating breakfast then got distracted on MN Blush

Shit night. Horsey I feel your pain, I haven't felt anything less than "pretty knackered" since I went back to work. After last night, it's back down to "basically fucked" - I said to dh yesterday to stop asking me how I am, as I'm bored of hearing myself say tired/shattered etc etc.

God only knows what last night was about. Seriously refluxey for reasons that aren't clear, plus she's constipated. She was up for 2 hours between 11 and 1, then slept on my chest. Dispatched off to nursery now though!

GT I hope you have a lovely day with the boys - how lovely that H says baby when he sees A Smile

Det I can't believe how much you've got O lol! He is going to have a field day with the wrapping paper you know! Loved the video on fb btw, mad child.

Meant to say last night, well done (although that doesn't really sum it up) to YWs superstar sister and her golden norks Grin Hope she enjoys the dairy feast.

Well we had a bit of snow overnight. Nothing like what they were predicting though so fx I don't have too much trouble getting to Lux and, more importantly, back from Lux in time for nursery pick up.

Nursery are putting on the Christmas play today. There is a troupe of actors who go round all the local nurseries and primary schools so to do all that they have to start early. But hey, once my birthday is out of the way Xmas can start.

Just a reminder that Secret Santa closes tonight :)

Wow lily what a productive day. Can't believe you went to all that pain of the balloons only to have to remove them.

yw our triple glazing appeared to "wobble" the other week in the wind Shock when the wind comes from the north it comes straight of the mountain and you have to be v careful. Am glad I have sliding doors on my car, although I mainly park in the garage and get out in there.

No real words here either. Possibly something like hiya. Will say mummum if I say it to him. Lots and lots of very earnest babbling though, with a real range of sounds.

S waves (using his whole arm) and claps if asked to. Stands very happily on own without using furniture to get up, cruises a lot but only a few wobbly steps so far.

Loves noisy and bash-able toys but can't do his shape sorter. Still loves a kitchen utensil more than anything else. If he is given something like a phone (our baby monitor can be mistaken for a phone which is why I say something like) he clamps it to his cheek and starts babbling. If I say " where's S gone?", he puts his hand on his face (not over his eyes) to hide, and then looks very happy when he moves his hand so I have to say "peekaboo".

Welcome lydie. Does your DH have to go away a lot for work?

Weather here is grim but in the SW probably considerably milder than anywhere else, must remember that!!

evil how are you?

fruit S stayed in his cot until 0445 - this marks an achievement. Sadly that is the start of the day.

Exhaust on car making dodgy sound so DH taking it in. Please be cheap!!

DH is scared of balloons - or rather of balloons bursting. It's his kryptonite and v funny when Jonas tries to bite one Smile .

He slept through! Can we get back into this habit please Bear? Now was it because of the anbesol, me closing his window, his new amber teething anklet, the Vicks on his feet or me avoiding dairy? (I bet the latter) or just because! Hmm

det I got her Olivia by Ian falconer. I actually bought her 5 Olivia books for £10 on amazon so that's Xmas and birthday sorted for 2 years.

O is cruising along furnitures but gets scared by standing alone. Her vocabulary is very advanced and she can't do the shape sorter.

I forgot the mention yesterday, I blew up 20 balloons. Guess what? She is dead scared of them. I had to remove them as she was frightened. Weird child.

And I'm very impressed with myself. Wrote an assignment last night though still need to finish it off by proof reading. I hate assignments, they are punishments. And I can't not leave them till last minute. Grrr.
