yw that's serious wordiness. We get cat, maman and poo. And encore. She understands much more though.

And golden norks definitely well deserved.

Been talking to dh today sans kids. We're mulling over the idea of moving back to the uk. He wants to go to Aberdeen. Might try working out a long term plan.

fruitpastilles · 20/11/2013 14:23

S still doesn't say anything apart from mama, she can point to her nose, ears and mouth though if I ask her where they are.

fruitpastilles · 20/11/2013 14:24

Haha pr love that LO can say poo.

YellowWellies · 20/11/2013 14:30

We get daddy, mummy, that, dog, cat (a shrieky noise but it's consistent!), no, yes, and possibly biscuit. Oh and something out of the window that he keeps pointing at and saying 'fla' but I have no idea what it is. I tried to get him to point at body parts but I point at my nose and he just tries to stick his fingers up it rather than repeating on his own nose. Bloody boy! Grin

I did suggest it YW...

We get: mumumum, nom nom (usually when we are eating), dad it's always fucking dad, AAAH (at Aulay. I don't think she is intelligent enough to know his name begins with A, she just knows I say 'ahah' to him a lot Blush ), no, rara and now laura for my sister, granddad and ta. She sings when we're in the car too!

Right, I've just got my head out the sand about going back to work in 12 days and booked myself a haircut for next Thursday. I need quiche style advice. Very tempted to go blonde again nothing to do with him hating it, oh no but not sure I can be bothered with the faff of maintaining it. Anyway, any advice greatly welcome Smile

YellowWellies · 20/11/2013 14:54

Awesome Isles I expect he took the suggestion with serious and reasoned consideration? No?

If it were me and I were a bit worried about fundage until February (though I know you are saving cash on your CM now compared to nursery) I think I'd hold off on the 'Screw you I'm a gorgeous blonde bwahahahahaha' hair do until February? As if you can avoid another expense over the next few months that's got to be worth some stress and sleepless nights. But then I'm the sort of scruff who has been known to cut her own hair so take follicular advice off me at yer peril. But I do hear that having a naice do can be expensive to maintain. Especially given that you aren't an aged grey harriden so don't have my roots.

Fruit and Chasing I found the post jags time really hard for 2-3 weeks but I think it was largely because the jags can trigger reflux. I really hope that you guys get off lightly. I do think the 12 month spurt has been the toughest but it's been masked by the MMR and other jags so I can't really tell.

FlouncingIsles · 20/11/2013 14:56

YW I hear you. This is another groupon cut though Blush

ChasingDaisy · 20/11/2013 15:07

YW, I'm hoping that we have just come out of the other side of the 12 month growth spurt as he is sleeping through again and is less ravenous.

fruitpastilles · 20/11/2013 15:21

I think I'll wait until next month before I attempt again to get her to stay in her cot. There's not much point if she's just going to get worse after her jabs, which she most likely will.

ditsygal · 20/11/2013 16:17

Struggling with teething and a cold here - I really don't want him to have jabs and add that to the bad nights list, the idea of more sleepless nights makes me want to cry a little. Being a mum is hard!

Lydiejo · 20/11/2013 16:30

Okay, jumping in here. Little L hasn't said a word yet. I'm a little disappointed really. Has been walking for 2.5 months but can't even say mama. Also has been getting 2 teeth- molars, which made her a whiny mess. Plus she up and just quit nursing on me last month cold turkey. It was so depressing. Being a mom is so hard, but i love it to. Starting to get impatient about having #2 but my hubby is still in school. He will graduate in April as a mechanical engineer. Ok, done rambling. Will try to figure out who is who.

YellowWellies · 20/11/2013 16:37

Hey Lydie great to see you over here. If you see the pinned document at the top of the FB group that puts Mumsnet nicknames to real life FB names.

GTbaby · 20/11/2013 16:46

Hi lydie. Grin

fruitpastilles · 20/11/2013 16:59

Hi lydie good to see you made it on. I hope our swearyness doesn't put you off Grin

PetiteRaleuse · 20/11/2013 17:03

It is actually sweary fucking Wednesday AND my birthday so I hope there wil be some sweariness today.

fruitpastilles · 20/11/2013 17:06

So it fucking is, I'd forgotten it was Wednesday! Not forgotten it's your birthday though pr. Are you having a nice day?

Lydiejo · 20/11/2013 17:12

Haha no worries. Happy birthday pr! How are you celebrating?

PetiteRaleuse · 20/11/2013 17:15

Having a glass of local champagne right now. DH picked up his new company car today and the schmoozy salesman gave us a bottle.

PetiteRaleuse · 20/11/2013 17:33

Ooh we're on amber alert for heavy snow overnight. Dammit. I have to drive into Lux city tomorrow afternoon.

YellowWellies · 20/11/2013 17:47

OMG playgroup laydeez are organising a SAHM Christmas night out. I am far too excited. And will try not to get shitfaced and end up in the gutter! Smile

FlouncingIsles · 20/11/2013 18:03

YW I am RIDICULOUSLY excited about a night out with my sister next weekend to celebrate both of our new jobs Grin

ChasingDaisy · 20/11/2013 18:47

Can I join in the excitement? I am almost giddy about Saturdays date Smile
