Have to say I mainly use the Facebook group for us now, I find it really fab, always someone there with advice or just a friendly ear when needed. :)

How much extra water should I give a ff baby in this weather?

Catherine the last few days i have been making up a bottle of cooled boiled water. I offer it between feeds. She hasn't quite caught on yet and spits most out but I guess its still wetting her mouth. Sorry that doesn't really answer your question! I don't think they will drink that much - you still want them to feed

I did him a bottle of water yesterday the same amount as his feed and he sort of took it all, it was quite funny watching the confusion and him gobble on the bottle! I just wondered I'm keeping an eye on weeing but didn't no if there was any recommendations

I gave E water today - we were out at the park for a teddy bears' picnic with DD1's school. He wasn't sure at first but then decided he rather liked it. I am hoping he will develop a taste for water - both DDs got there in the end and they love drinking water now which is great for school!

E is not a fan of the heat - he spent part of the afternoon hanging out in just a nappy and a muslin!

I just made a 5oz sippy cup of cooled boiled water and let H have bits of it during the day x

H only took an ounce of water today but she's had a lot more boob than formula today, so hopefully that has quenched her first. She doesn't mind water, but it's not her favourite thing in the world.

She's a boobie girl really.

Spent half day in vest and the other half in a nappy and a thin little sheet in her bouncer, in the garden for 5 minutes each time or on her piano play gym.

She's not been too bad with the heat, her Mummy has been worse.

Has anyone got any tips on getting sun cream out of clothes? I've never normal had a prob but its all over ds clothes. I wonder if its cos it's factor a zillion or that I'm less precise at putting it on!

I'm lying in bed next to poorly baby-post injection meltdown before bed, but now I have just bought a fan (10pm tonight from Tesco-£12) and Blake's had liquid magic (calpol) all is right in the world!

essex -poor Blake! And you will find that Nurofen is even more liquid magic! Think that is slowed from 3 months, and comes with a fab syringe thing that is handy for lots of things!

Joined the Facebook group, but my iPod touch won't let me post comments! Had this problem in the past hut thought it had been fixed! One of the many reasons I'm not keen on it!

I have survived 2 nights alone with my two, as DH has been away with work. Other than bath time, it was fairly reasonable, mainly as DS is at nursery Mondays and Tuesdays! Just got to get everyone up now to do the drop off, then DH will be home mod afternoon!

Might go get E weighed, as we'll be up nice and early! She's not been weighed for 5 weeks!

Catherine no great advice except maybe wash with bio on a hot wash then again in non-bio? Best advice I had was to apply it before you dress so a. It doesn't go on the clothes and b. you don't miss bits where clothes move!

12 week jabs today with an already fussy baby! Hoping it goes ok.

Ta hope the jabs go ok., u mite get a sleepy day (ad night hopefully!) I've twigged bout the putting it on before clothes now and using the strokes from baby massage so he does realise its something diff! But I do like to reapply think its cos I sizzle!
When I went into him this morning he was upside own in his ct, as in feet where his head had been and head where his feet were! Don't no how he managed it, I'd only been in an hr before! Little wiggler!

I must admit to being on Facebook more often too.

W had a great night Sunday, bed at 10pm and I woke him at 5.45am, when I realised he hadn't woke me and my boobs were throbbing.

However yesterday we were sweaty and uncomfortable all day, spending most of it in our cool lounge. Constant boob access so now have sore nipples.

He then woke every two hours last night, then DD woke at 4. We ended up with 4 in our bed.

DD seems to be more naughty than usual. Just pressing buttons and find it hard to change her behaviour once she starts on the downward spiral of naughtiness.

Hi, hope everyone is doing okay. H has been a bit irritable today and tired though not sleeping a lot, unless in bed with Mummy, which isn't ideal when Daddy comes back from work on Thursday, but if needs must.

Has anyone else's LO nearly rolled over? H isn't far off it at all. Plus she's making vowel sounds, so feel like she's doing a really good job, progress wise. I love seeing her grow and adapt to the world around her. She can also hold her rattle teething ring and hold it for 10 seconds and make it rattle.

It's just so warm here, it's unreal! She just doesn't like the heat at all. But been making sure she eats even a little of something every 3 hours, due to the heat. Does she need any extra water apart from breastmilk / formula does anyone know?

I'm loving it now boo is responding more, I've had an awesome weekend with her and out today with a friend who is 39 weeks pregnant. Problem is she's so good most of the time no one believes she's ever grumpy. Today's she's not cried once, been happy, smiley and cooing and gurgling. She's discovered her hands grab things and she got onto her side, I thought she was going to roll but then flopped back on her tummy to chew her hand.

Sounds like h is doing really well it's so nice seeing changes isn't it? My little man has rolled over twice and is babbling away :)
If she's bf I think some magic goes on to give babies the fluid they need but they will feed mire often. Ff babies need extra cooled boiled water but don't no how much my lo has prob only taken bout 30 mls extra all day and it took a lot of doing! He has still been weeing though so ill just keep a close eye on it

Well I have had a grumpy baby on my hands but her vaccinations til 2.30! She never really went into a deep sleep, waking after 10-15 minutes. Finally fell asleep as I pushed her to the doctors in the carrycot of the travel system only to be woken for injections so she was rather indignant! I fed her in the waiting room straight afterwards and then she snoozed again on the way home. Just remained fussy but fell asleep early!

ratbag I've found motherhood much easier since she started responding. Sometimes she's being a monkey then she pauses, looks up at me and grins and its all worthwhile! :)

I no what u mean Hada, mine has the biggest smiles and actually starts giggling when I get him out the cot in the morning then all the tiredness goes away-for a bit!
Ooh neighbours son has just been kicking off dh wasn't impressed at my desire to go help the random his was threatening, someone else got there first and there was no physical violence but I still subtlety went to the bin!

E celebrated Andy's win by rolling onto her side for the first time on Sunday, and then had practised it lots, right until her daddy came home yesterday. She hasn't done it since Daddy's been back! She's always been much more smiley than DS was, so a lot more fun to tend to (DS was a seriously grumpy child!), and nappy time is a particular delight, as she smiles and coos, right until its time to get dressed again!

Just waiting for her to drop into a deep sleep - 25 minutes seems to be the magic number for night time feeds!

I've not been on much due to DH working away, so busy busy and finally our flat has sold, yay!!!

So we'll be moving soon hopefully, cannot wait, although I was hoping to stay off work until after Christmas, the mortgage company want some £££ from us, which may mean going back earlier

Oh no to the going bk earlier then planned. I don't no how I'm going to b able to go bk. but yay for the flat being sold are u sorted with where u are going?
It must b hard with dh being away, I keep wondering how single parents manage!
We woke this morning at 4 with major tears and wud not settle, not like ds. He was rubbing his gums so gave a go with some teething gel (bought in ages ago cos I had a feeling we'd need it at silly o clock) and he stopped crying instantly then settled so I think we may b starting with teething!
