This thread's topic is what size of nappies are your babies in? And how are the cloth bum babies doing?

Hey, knackered after evening playing rounders. Was fun but am only just home after leaving house at 7am! Missed my babies but DH coped perfectly and even spontaneously did some chores.

bp she's a proper knob. Prob best the quiche doesn't harass her yet.

det first birthday meet sounds like a great idea.

fruit hugs.

mm don't know what that diagnosis might mean for you but hope you find lots of info and support.

Got to crash out now - agreed to spend tomorrow playing cricket in the heat but have a tonne of work to do so got to get to work super early to stand any chance of getting through some of it!

Forgot to share earlier. At baby group today O was in the paddling pool with 2 other babies. All sat there splashing mostly O splashing everyone else including me happily. O makes a very loud happy screechy noise. The baby next to him looked at him and started bawling his eyes out. 10 seconds later, the other baby started crying because he was crying. So what does O do? Think, well fuck me, if they are crying, I am going to join in too! And cried the loudest of all! Over the top of the other babies all you could hear was O.

He bloody started the other baby off crying with his shouting! And then acted like the wounded soldier! Funny boy! Honestly don't know where I get this child from. Not a drama queen like his mother, oh no!.

Someone asked me today if O always cries so high pitched and loud. Yep said I. He has one volume. End of the world volume. Food finished. Screams like it is the end of the world. Falls off the bed, same cry. Grin

Kyz yes J did have a few days when he was eating ok, then illness fucked it up again. Now he will not tolerate puree. This evening at dinner he had some steak. Yes, fucking steak. How the fuck does that work?

Detective yes the boss was on leave last week. No fucking excuse as he knew I was due back Monday. They have moved premises since I went off and I cannot find up to date numbers anywhere. His auto email for holiday thingy gave a name to contact but no fucking number.

I have applied for the promotion. Nearly blew my remaining brain cells but I did it. They will probably just shred it, but at least I have tried.

Fucking 27 deg again, I have a temp as does J. We only finished our antibiotics yesterday. Unfuckingbelieveable.

Sorry, lacking thankfulness today.

BigPigLittlePig · 11/07/2013 22:25

VQ I think I have extended sweary Wednesday fucking Fursday? anyway, so go ahead - lord only knows you deserve a bit of a swear and some bloody good luck.

Am off to bed. Hopefully will dream of 1st birthday parties rather than her ...

Good luck and good night lovely quichesters xx

ValiumQueen · 11/07/2013 22:25

And I think Kyz's sweary description should figure in the next thread title. It was fucking inspired! I for one would feel mighty honoured to meet Kyz x

PetiteRaleuse · 11/07/2013 22:28

I'd be up for a birthday meetup. If you could all come to
luxembourg :(

chasing are you ok?

YellowWellies · 11/07/2013 22:30

I'd be up for it too Det we'll have to avoid any of the babies actual birthdays though as don't want to spend the day travelling across the country.... I'm wondering if we have any days in November without birthdays?

TheDetective · 11/07/2013 22:33

I was going to look through the FB list for a date YW. I think there were days minus babies being born...!

PetiteRaleuse · 11/07/2013 22:35

kyz's sweary description did rock :)

We're all overheated here too. DD1 has the cold but also has the energy to run round in the heat so not sure if she has a temp or is hot. Paracetamoled her up anyway and let her drink as much juice as she liked. Which could explain the energy....

Re the feeding vq I prefer puree too but LO doesn't. Tonight she had bakes eggs with baked potato; at lunchtime pasta and ham, the ham torn into very thin slivers. I tear up roast chicken breast for her too. And give her chunks of slightly overcooked veg. She likes ready made puree, but not mine.

kirrinIsland · 11/07/2013 22:36

I'd definitely like a birthday meet up. Depends where though - Scotland is a long long way from here!

TheDetective · 11/07/2013 22:36

Saturday 16th November, or Sunday 17th November anyone?

YellowWellies · 11/07/2013 22:50

Det whoop whoop - guess we should aim for the middle of the country? (but near either the East coast or West coast mainline / motorway network pretty please so that those of us travelling long distances can get there as painlessly as possible)

TheDetective · 11/07/2013 22:56

Thinking somewhere along the m6 mid country way? I need to look at where people are coming from to try and work out a destination!!

Dp exhausted but battling

I'd be well up for a meet but doubt it'll be anywhere close enough for me to afford could maybe blag it as a birthday treat unless i car share with the Garcias??

ValiumQueen · 12/07/2013 03:35

Boy has been awake an hour already. Downstairs again with him in the bouncer. Only there or on me will do. He has had a bottle and been asleep and put down six times only to wake within seconds. Wide awake now but quiet and happy. I am not happy.

ValiumQueen · 12/07/2013 03:36

The app misses bits out if you put it in arrows. Feck!

ValiumQueen · 12/07/2013 03:44

And he is asleep.

Lily311 · 12/07/2013 04:33

We are in the UK from 10th oct prob for the rest of the month but will be def back by mid nov.

chasing are you ok?
I'm too tired already, fuck knows why I'm up. O has been out since 7 last night, I will not wake her just yet.

BigPigLittlePig · 12/07/2013 06:46

Not quite sure what happened last night, but if it helps VQ I too was up. She's full of beans but vommy this morning, so perhaps something (god knows what) has triggered off her reflux.

I got little goosepimples of excitement at the prospect of a mass-meet [sad act]

Another sunny day here already, looks like it's going to be a very hot one.

FatimaLovesBread · 12/07/2013 07:24

Still got to pack, plan wash to get up with DH and sort things while M sleeps, except M woke up at 6:15am!
Ah well, she's had some time with daddy seeing as we're leaving him until Sunday. Had a big feed and now back in her cot, not sure how long for. Hopefully until 9am far chance

I feel absolutely awful Sad it's the bloody hayfever. My nostrils are swollen, sore and scabby. My throat is sore, banging head, awful sinus pain giving me earache and my whole body feels a bit crap and achey and i'm shattered. Think I might pass on watching bands in a field tomorrow night.
Going to get up and pop some pills and douche my nostrils Sad

Hope you managed to get some sleep VQ

Nobbing HV det and kyz. If thought about taking M to be weighed this morning not that I'll have time but I might just take a trip to our local mothercare, they've got baby scales in the baby room.
Do you have to go see the HV kyz? If it was me I just wouldn't go. Ours are great, you just walk in, get weighed and bugger off. If you want to stay and ask things then you can but there's no pressure. They seem to be very pro 'look at the baby not at the numbers'

FatimaLovesBread · 12/07/2013 07:24

Forgot to say chasing are you ok? I'm not too far away this weekend if you want some company at some point?

Passmethecrisps · 12/07/2013 07:35

Don't mean to sound like a FB stalker but chasing did change her profile pic last night so she is around. Should someone PM her just to say hi?

Passmethecrisps · 12/07/2013 07:39

I worked out from talking to a pal with the same HV that what she says depends on how well things are going. For example baby growing well and taking solids like a champ - too fat, more milk, less solids, no actual advice. Baby dropping through centiles, no solids - silence. Asked directly for advice - snippy 'I told you so'

Go figure
