This thread's topic is what size of nappies are your babies in? And how are the cloth bum babies doing?

OP posts:

Fuck knows, but we're in the right geography for Blandford Fly here, or i might have knocked a tick off as we were in long-ish damp grass. Whatever, the jelly tot is the diameter of a penny piece and oozing Envy

YellowWellies · 10/07/2013 20:43

MM have figured out Jonas was on a soy downer hence getting so totes emosh about squeaks and overenthusiastic bear hugs. Arse no Chinese for me on Friday Envy

Passmethecrisps · 10/07/2013 20:47

Blandford fly? Sounds like the title of a supermarket thriller. Sounds yuck.

Passmethecrisps · 10/07/2013 20:48

Whilst p has no excuse other than being a woos! And emoting.

Passmethecrisps · 10/07/2013 20:50

Looked it up.

Gross

FatimaLovesBread · 10/07/2013 20:58

chasing What a dick!! There's nothing wrong with feeling a bit gutted, I know I would. But him "moving in a friend" so soon just shows what an absolute massive tit he is.

Detective Bloody banks and non-balance checking DPs Angry

I went shopping and managed to get some tops (5 to be exact). Also ordered a large amount of clothes for M from the Next sale. (17 sleepsuits, a skirt, 3 dresses, 3 tops, 4 leggings, 2 trousers and some converse) for £100 so not bad. Will see what they're like when they arrive.

Anyone know what age, roughly, a child will be when in size 4 shoes. Is that likely to be their first size or would that be a 3? I used to work in a shoe shop and I can't remember. I do remember measuring more size 4s than 3s though.

M and I are going to Oxford for the weekend. It's going to be roasting. I've no idea what to pack and i'm not sure what to do food wise while we're there Confused

PurplePidjin · 10/07/2013 21:00

Quite a nice beer though apparently Wink

TheDetective · 10/07/2013 21:02

O will probably have a size 4 for his first shoes when he is walking. He has big feet though.

IIRC size 2 was the most common size for first shoes. Especially for girls who tend to have smaller feet.

Size 4 is probably 18months - 2 years perhaps?

Oh, if they are converse, I think they come up smaller. Or the pair I have here do anyway.

Kyzordz · 10/07/2013 21:03

Evening all! Starting from where I left off as usual...

jj sorry your bf journey seems to be coming to an end :( it sounds like you've come to terms with it ok though

Baby proofing: no need here, he doesn't really move much. I'm not sure how to or even if to encourage crawling or anything because he just gets frustrated. Plus he seems to usually be eating, being cleaned up or asleep!

mm1 I'm sure someone will snap you up soon, if they've any sense :)

yw Eric has the same surname as his dad, because we probably will marry at some point, and I will change my surname to his. Yay for the bear sleeping through again!

Glad cc is sorted now horsey must be a weight off your mind

Hugs izzy sounds like a particularly bad night last night again for you :( sorry to hear about your day from hell too, what has happened?

Oh lily it's so unfair for you to have so much shit to get through to have o have Leo's surname :( I will be popping a cork when you give us the news that its all sorted :D

Sounds like success at the cm's pass :D

chasing he is doing all of this for attention, he really is. As someone (can't remember) else said, he knows you are moving on and he doesn't fucking like it. So he looked good today... ON PURPOSE, most likely cos you look good when he sees you. As detective says, he will not get more contact going to court, he would get less. When you're ready you'll find someone else, and even if not time does help and you won't always feel this way. He is a cunting fucking arse wandering twatty gimp flavoured dicknut. If I wanted you to go so close I'd tell you to piss in his shoes, but you are 110% well and truly shot of that one. Have yourself a glass of wine and smile a big fuck of smile because you are free, and you are winning :) it can only get better. Huge fuck off hugs! I would definitely only talk to him regarding o if possible, it's what my mum is doing with her pretending to hang himself xp, if he attempts to text her or contact in any way not regarding elyza she just ignores him.

Woohoo for crawling/wriggling pp, hope you do get some rest.

Glad you all had a good quiche meet :)

I think I might try to move e's bed time earlier in the hope that we can go to two naps not three. All the feeding, napping and cleaning the mess after feeding and bottles and making bottles and preparing food and all the rest of it mean I rarely leave the house and I am going slowly insane. I need to do something with his routine so we aren't stuck in Groundhog Day and just feeding and sleeping all the while. Does it sound feasible to do both lunch and tea before their respective bottles? Is it worth a go? With having it so spaced I am frequently having to wake him for the 3pm bottle and by doing so he has to sleep again before bed. How does this look, providing he complies?

7am bottle
8am breakfast
11:30-as close to 12 as I can get it-lunch
Straight after (usually an hour after the start of lunch)- bottle
4-4:30 tea bottle straight after
Bottle at 7 then bed.

He always sleeps after brekkie, about 9:30-10:30/11 and was hoping I could get him to go to about 2 then get up at about 4 and that's it till bed. Should I try this or leave it as it is? I guess if I try it and he drinks above 20oz and sleeps through still and gains weight it's fine, but if I try it and he wakes in the night, doesn't take enough milk or stops gaining then its not working... I just figured this way I can manage all the meals and all four bottles are still offered so I'm not 'dropping a bottle'

FatimaLovesBread · 10/07/2013 21:34

Sounds like a plan kyz Inknow what you mean about feeling like you can't fit anything In with all the feeds and naps. Before I know it, it's bedtime again. We've been out all day today and it's completely cocked up food and sleep. She had a 20 min nap all day because she's so bloody nosey and no lunch, just boob.

They are the Converse, thought she'd get more wear out of a 4 than a 3. Her feet are quite big, didn't fit in any of the socks she had.

PetiteRaleuse · 10/07/2013 21:35

kyz LOVE you swearfest re chasing's XP. Almost want to write it down so I can use it at some point.

Night quiche. Thankful Thursday tomorrow.

izzybizzybuzzybees · 10/07/2013 21:37

kyz J just spent last night screaming resulting in me and him on the sofa. Then today more of the same :-( he's in bed just now which has got to be a record. Won't last long I bet. It's 26 degrees in his room so he's in a nappy and romper , no vest and no grobag!

PurplePidjin · 10/07/2013 21:40

Fucking second fucking wake up. Fuck.

BigPigLittlePig · 10/07/2013 21:44

Oh chasing what a wankbadger. The photo you put of you and O on fb the other day, I thought "wow, you look so well, and happy, and confident", so no doubt the twat is thinking the same, and trying to find a way to chip away at that. Ignore him. Hang up the phone. Let him even try to take you to court - he will end up worse for it.

Izzy sorry to hear the day didn't get any better.

Am eagerly waiting for haggis meet pics on fb....love to see how all the babies are growing and changing.

F seems to have mastered rolling at last and has worked out that, if she bothers to move, she can actually reach stuff. And pear may have been pushed to one side, in favour of strawberries. And scrambled egg is, hmm, not so nice to eat, but lots of fun to rub into ones hair.

BigPigLittlePig · 10/07/2013 21:46

How could I forget? Lily ((hugs)) it sounds so incredibly tough. I have no doubt that Leo would be so very proud of the fight that you are putting up. It would be so easy to shrug your shoulders and accept it is too tricky. I hope the lawyer can kick some ass.

TheDetective · 10/07/2013 22:24

That's how O's naps work mostly kyz. I go with sleep being the most important, and food times fit around it!

We try lunch out and about again tomorrow. Eeeek!

I have to share this with the quiche. I am Shock and Grin at the same time!

A new purpose built youth club funded by a private group of business people, and run by the council, was opened. It is aimed at 8-16 year olds.

DS1 hasn't been yet, but I was thinking come september he could perhaps go once a week once I have taught him how to use buses, and which bus to get. It is right smack bang opposite DP's work, so it is ideal for him to get the bus from school, and then DP collect him after work.

Well, they are running a holiday club over the summer. I have been looking for some things for DS1 to do to keep him occupied over the summer. Guess how much this place is charging for a FULL day? 8am-6pm?

£5!!!!! My jaw nearly hit the floor! It's gonna be packed! This is the place. It looks fab! DS1 is very lucky to be able to have use of it. I need to go investigate, and check I am happy that he will be safe there. One of the staff goes to my SW club, so I will ask her honest opinion. :)

I'm almost gutted I'm not back at work now! Almost...!

Elizadoesdolittle · 10/07/2013 23:32

There's been a lot of crazy shit going on within the quiche today!

Lily What a fuck up. Good on you for not rolling over to the system. Such a struggle but I really hope you sort it.

chasing He is an arrogant arse of the highest order. He is completley jealous of your new found happiness. Sorry he's made you feel like complete shit again.

I took my DH's surname when we married. My mum and dad took a different surname when they married (my dad changed it by deed poll) so effectively my maiden name was made up. I liked my name but as it had no origins I decided to take my DH's surname. It's actually a place in Scotland (think v small city near inverness). A lot of people thought I had scottish origins but nope, they just took it as their name as they liked the sound of it!

PurplePidjin · 11/07/2013 04:34

Today I'm thankful R fell back into pattern and hasn't woken every hour like i thought he would. And that dp is ok after his first morning back at work.

Bryzoan · 11/07/2013 07:06

Hey - huge congratulations to vvvdp pidj!

I am thankful for my little darlings but wish littlest would sort his sleep out again. I'm knackered! But probably not as knackered as izzy who I'm sending a preemptive [coffee] to on the basis that she has probably had another shocker.

On names, we all have dh's. I miss mine sometimes although I never really used to like it. A good friend kept hers when she married and gave it to her ds too though.

Passmethecrisps · 11/07/2013 07:19

Morning.

Good luck mrpp!

P has every toy she has spread out on the floor in front of her. What does she want to play with? The sanitary towel packet in my handbag. She whipped it out at YW's towers yesterday and now thinks it is most awesome fun ever.

Thechick · 11/07/2013 07:22

Hope today is a better day for everyone. Some of our partners really need to sort it out and act like normal human beings.

I just changed my name to my dh's name. We got married two years ago. I've got my maiden name as my middle name and then dh's surname. Ds1 has my maiden name and ds2 has dh's name with my maiden name just before it. He is one of those children with 5 names.

YW I think it's completely fine.

I gave H egg and toast for the first time yesterday and was so proud that he was eating the toast so well. When I went to clean the chair, there was all the toast, lol!!

Lily311 · 11/07/2013 07:25

I'm thankful that chasing got the flat.

And that my little girl sleeps through the night. And that they predicted some showers for today, 35 degrees is not fun anymore.

Pikz · 11/07/2013 07:36

I am so thankful for my mum who is just awesome

I am thankful for L sleeping through again and being such a smiler even when he is wrecking the joint!

I am thankful it's Thursday and hoping for a better quiche day for everyone

Good luck mr PP

PetiteRaleuse · 11/07/2013 07:45

I am thankful for the slight breeze outside, and for my beautiful daughters and DH.

fruitpastilles · 11/07/2013 07:52

I am thankful for the crumb on the floor that has kept S quiet for the past 15 mins while she tries to pick it up Grin
