This thread's topic is what size of nappies are your babies in? And how are the cloth bum babies doing?

OP posts:

Haha fruit! I love those moments. When I went in to get P this morning she was sitting up staring intently at the circles on her Grobag trying to pick one up.

Passmethecrisps · 11/07/2013 07:57

Oh and I am thankful that p's room stayed a reasonable temperature yesterday so we got some decent sleep!

Bryzoan · 11/07/2013 07:58

Love it pass Grin that could keep her busy for hours...

YellowWellies · 11/07/2013 08:13

I am thankful for a wee boy who has woken up laughing and seems to have shaken off the worst of my soy nomming excesses. I'm thankful for my lovely DH who does so much for us and is my best friend too. And on a different tack I'm thankful that the cat didn't shit in the shower this morning which has been an ongoing saga Hmm Envy

BigPigLittlePig · 11/07/2013 08:20

I am thankful for my healthy and happy girl.
I am thankful for the vet who fixed the cat, because the cat makes F happier than almost anything else.
I am thankful for dh, even though things are a bit shit.
And nurseries, who can cope with my "nightmare child" Hmm

After yesterdays strawberry nommin extravaganza, F has refused both tea and breakfast. Funny old soul. She seems happy enough though so am trying to ignore it and stay calm

BigPigLittlePig · 11/07/2013 08:21

And I will be thankful when the cunting arsebadger of a CM returns my fucking money, which she will do before 12pm tomorrow or else

FatimaLovesBread · 11/07/2013 08:31

I am thankful for my husband
I am thankful for my family esp my big sis.
I am thankful that m has woken in a better mood than yesterday.
I am thankful that I managed to find some new clothes yesterday otherwise I would be walking round Oxford naked tomorrow (I think all of Oxford will also be thankful for that)

I'm thinking about possibly buying some pouches or pots to take away with us this weekend. Can anyone recommend any nice ones?

izzybizzybuzzybees · 11/07/2013 08:50

I am thankful dh us calling in sick so I can go bavk to bed.

MadameGazelleIsMyMum · 11/07/2013 09:04

I am thankful for my beautiful DC.
I am very thankful that DD has taken so well to having a sibling, and thankful for the genuine affection which exists between them even if DD demonstrated this affection this morning by repeatedly bashing DS over the head with one of her (paperback) stories
I am thankful to have a very supportive family and inlaws.
I am thankful for my friends who make me laugh
I am thankful for my job which is very hard work at times but I enjoy it for the most part and am very thankful for the fact we can just about afford our life. I do spend too much time wishing for more money/luxuries, but actually, having enough to pay the bills is sometyhing to be grateful for.

PurplePidjin · 11/07/2013 09:12

R likes Plum and Ellas meals, Fatima he turns his nose up at jars Blush Hipp 100% pouches, Organix rice pudding pots and Heinz (?) fruit custard are all good for afters. I think it's Hipp that do yoghurts that don't need refrigeration :)

fruitpastilles · 11/07/2013 09:14

Yep, S is an Ella's fan too fatima she especially likes the cheesy pie.

PetiteRaleuse · 11/07/2013 09:51

pig is nursery going well then?

Kyzordz · 11/07/2013 09:51

morning all :) trying to do the new routine today, fc it doesn't all go to shit!

how was last night izzy ? hope it wasn't as bad as yesterday and the night before

I am thankful for dp,my family, you guys as always, and baths which clean my rotter of a son when he is grebby. spoon feeding is not without mess, oh no.

food.... eric also won't eat jars, he has eaten ek pouches, plum pouches and one hip pouch plus the steam pots. he loves fruit pouches and organix fruit pots too

speaking of food, is it too early to see how eric copes with the 10 months plus foods? its just I only mash home made food and he has lumps quite well, and he eats finger foods with ease these days. I wasn't sure if its a no no with trying them yet. he is 8 months, no teef. seems to be a select few things I am forever cycling through like the ek lamb one and cheesy pie one

Passmethecrisps · 11/07/2013 09:52

P is a fan of EK fatima. She is a particular fan of the lamb roast dinner.

Pikz · 11/07/2013 10:01

Hipp yoghurts and anything ek or plum with meat in. Turned nose up at the veggie ones. Also hipp jarred puddings are a fave!

PetiteRaleuse · 11/07/2013 10:03

LO will be 9 months a week tomorrow Shock

She also loves EK pouches but we ran out and can't get them here. I give her some 10 month food but she's starting to eat more and more of what we eat. Talking of her teeth, she got the two bottom ones at 7m and 7m1w but almost two months later has not got rhe top ones. DD1 got all four within a fortnight at 9m.

BigPigLittlePig · 11/07/2013 10:25

A rant, please, if you will allow me.

Fucking CM has dropped a cheque around, but for significantly less than I am owed. She "looked after" her for 17 hours (although could include the 3 hours settling in so have calculated for 20), so if that is deducted, would owe me 620. Cheque is for 500. WTF. Am so Angry I am shaking. Ths woman is causing me untold stress. I swear to god there is going to be one hell of a snippy letter being written to the powers that be.

itsnotyouitsMeals · 11/07/2013 11:02

pig am so glad the nursery is lovely and v pissed off for you about the cm. Call her and ask her where the rest of the money is. She should provide you with an invoice/doc detailing what you owe her.
pidj good luck mr pidj
kyz happy new routine!
pass any crunchy wrappers will do here! Am a mooncup girl so not so good to play with!!!
Fatima am in Oxford so if you need anything do get in touch.

I am thankful for my gorgeous family and the six weeks of holidays coming up that we get to spend together.

PetiteRaleuse · 11/07/2013 11:02

So she's adding either unable to do simple maths or being a thief to her list of crapness.

Have you spoken to her about it?

PurplePidjin · 11/07/2013 11:22

Kyz R eats what we eat - at a bbq on sunday i was putting little bits of burger, chicken and fish in his mouth which he squished up and enjoyed. (i particularly enjoyed the look on the other parents' faces when he happily nommed the extremely spicy chicken!) Last night was chicken chopped up small, long grain rice and pureed cauliflower, steak as finger food with smushed up root veg is also popular. He also likes Organix crisp things which are 12+ Blush and pombears Obviously i monitor for choking etc, but i don't have the time or budget to fart about making special baby meals

Thanks all, dp's first day went well - it was yesterday Wink

FatimaLovesBread · 11/07/2013 11:38

Thanks for the food advice. She normally eats what we're having but hasn't been eating as much recently. I think it might be easier to take a couple of pouches and snacks just incase as I've no idea what we're going to be doing.
I will have a gander at the EK and Hipp stuff in Morrisons later.

Ahh thanks Meals Whereabouts in Oxford are you? PM or FB me if you don't want to say on here. Erm... Any recommendations for baby friendly things to do during the day and places to eat? Near the City centre. It's a couple of years since I've been and obviously at uni I wasn't particularly interested in baby facilities Grin

Arsing CM pig Today I am also thankful you ended up with a nursery instead of her

BigPigLittlePig · 11/07/2013 11:53

I would speak to her if she would answer my motherfucking calls.

Last settling in session this morning went well - screaming as I left, which stopped as soon as I'd gone Grin. She had a full 7oz bottle then played outside with the toddlers. She was merrily nomming a book whilst twiddling with a flag when I turned up, and beaming from ear to ear whenever anyone looked her way poser So thankful.

Fatima enjoy Oxford, lovely city.

Pidj F lurved thai green curry, although was a bit quizzical initially. Glad vvvdps first day went well, hope his second does too!

kyz last night was shite too :-( he woke after about 90mins and dh settled him, he then woke again and dh gave him a bottle. He woke two hours after bottle, then two hours after going back down then every 40mins or less from 4am. I also had the squits so was in the loo when he was sleeping hence dh called in sick for me. Nightmare! As per fucking usual!

On the plus side my sis is going to take J on Fri overnight and give me a rest and my mum and dad are taking me J and e to Troon beach on Fri :-)

fruitpastilles · 11/07/2013 14:55

Just found out bil has brain cancer with a max 3 years to live Hmm
He has had a benign tumour for 12 years but over the last 3 months has really deteriorated. He had another biopsy and they just got the results today. Poor poor dp, I have never seen him cry until today.
