This thread's topic is what size of nappies are your babies in? And how are the cloth bum babies doing?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Pikz · 09/07/2013 11:27

Pass the lindam ones are good but check your banister can take a pressure gate as I made this mistake and had to go get a wider (lindam not wide enough either) wall mounted gate from mothercare which is just as good.

BigPigLittlePig · 09/07/2013 11:32

F is slurping her way through a room temperature bottle for the first time ever! Nursery went fine, she spent the whole time in the garden and there were hardly any tears - I know this to be true because I sat in the sun the other side of the fence Grin. One more session on Thursday...

Pikz Mauritius sounds lurvely

Am so Envy of the haggis meet. Sounds like lots of fun. Piccies on fb please!

GTbaby · 09/07/2013 11:36

Wtf comment number 3. One day lets just let him cry all day. That way his tongue tie will snap. Hmm
(For those who dip into the thread. This is crazy things my mil has said since being back living with us.)

Wtf comment 4 Shock it's a shame son2 n dil had a baby girl as their 3rd baby. A boy would have been better. Poor dil. - This one actually REALLY upset me last night. FH had to calm me down. He keeps telling me they are only here a short time, to keep the peace (1 more month!)

Lily311 · 09/07/2013 11:38

O slept from 6.30 till 6 am. She would have slept longer but I needed to get ready for gym and woke her. Apparently my tummy looks smaller but I don't think so. Does anyone else's boobs fluctuating? I stopped breast feeding in April and they went down than up than down and now up again.

MadameGazelleIsMyMum · 09/07/2013 11:56

GT I keep meaning to ask what "FH" means. Something Husband I think. Friend Husband? Fucking Husband? Grin

Also Envy of haggis meet up.

Pikz sounds amazing. My brother lives in Cape Town. I enjoyed planning my wedding, the only parts I found remotely stressful were the parts delegated to other people. [control freak emoticon]

Too hot here in the SW. I'm fine in an air con building all day. House was like a sauna when we got home. Took 2.5 hours to get DC cool and then to sleep. DS likes standing up but cant get there himself so is getting frustrated. But can now get from sitting to crawling position, so that helps.

Passmethecrisps · 09/07/2013 11:57

wish mine would go back up again. Mine are completely deflated. Fort he first time in my life I understand why people get implants.

Nod and smile GT, nod and smile.

FatimaLovesBread · 09/07/2013 12:04

Afternoon all.
How do you all manage to keep up. I am useless Grin

DH woke me this morning and asked if I wanted the car, I was too sleepy to move said no, I don't need it. Well now I'm at home and bored and want to go to my sisters. Silly me. BIL is going to come and pick us up, fingers crossed the car seat fits in. It's a Discovery series 1 so the seatbelts are quite short.

M has done two nights of 1 wake up and then last night 2. She woke us up screaming at 4am this morning as she had tried to get up, got tangled in her grow bag and banged her head on the cot!

Last week there was talk of the Next sale. I've got a VIP slot for tomorrow so going to stock up on clthes for M and hopefully some clothes for me that fit. Does anyone want me to check the preview to see if there's any particular items in it?? Detective I know how you love Next.

Need to plan what to pack for mine and M's weekend away!

TheDetective · 09/07/2013 12:05

Fucking husband! Grin

O is behaving strangely! Slept from 8.45 til 11.45.

How did I know he was awake? He was hitting the cot headboard with his feet. Rhythmically every 10 seconds. Over the baby monitor I could just hear... Thump......... Thump.......... Thump. I would have assumed it was the dog but she was sat by my side because I was cooking!. It actually freaked me out at first!

I've made slimming world style quiche this morning. Grin

I just ate half of it. Blush

TheDetective · 09/07/2013 12:07

Ooooh yes Fatima!

The ahoy there stuff in 9-12 is what I'll be after! Let me know which item numbers are in and I'll check them on the website Grin.

Ta!

GTbaby · 09/07/2013 12:22

Fat. I don't keep up much any more. Hence never referring to anything said. Except now. Lol

Lily. Woop woop to smaller tummy. I bet ur doing great, we are our own biggest critics.

Madam FUCKING HUSBAND after the drinking issues we had a few weeks ago. He has major making up to do before I forget about it.

Update on that... He is still drinking most days but no where near the amount of few weeks ago. My big question is will he be bk to extreme drinking when his PIL leave.
Also wondering if its a issue with this time of year. He had a similar fall over drunk ended up in hospital a year ago. His gran died when he was 18. She was very frail and he was carrying her down the stairs. She had a stroke in his arms. He was very close with her. But I don't want to mk excuses for him to drink , as regardless, he now needs to look after his family.

Right better eat while lo is having a quite moment. Will be bk later to catch up

FatimaLovesBread · 09/07/2013 13:16

Right Detective....
I suppose it might depend on individual stores if they have bits of stock left but there isn't much of the Ahoy stuff left in bigger sizes.
There's the Whale all-in-one that O had at the soft play for £5.50 but only in 6-9 and i'm guessing that's what he's in already?

In 9-12 there is....
Navy Whale T-shirt (116-654-G38) £3.50
Whale Mummy T-shirts (798-873-G38) £4
They've also got the seaside dribble bibs for £3.50 and the 'Happy Romper' (135-812-G38) in 12-18 for £5

Other bright items in 9-12 i've noticed that you might like...

Frog Sleepsuits £6.50
Lion Dungarees set (782-788-X51) £5
Car Sleepsuits (781-161-X51) £7.50

ChasingDaisy · 09/07/2013 13:52

pass I feel the same. O is on 5 bottles, 3 meals and 3 naps a day. I usually manage to get out of the house after feed number 1, breakfast and nap 1. He usually has bottle 2 and nap 2 while we are out and then I get home in time for lunch, bottle 3 and nap 3. I am also not confident about feeding solids in public yet. Apart from rice cakes. But not the tomato and carrot ones. They're messy.

ValiumQueen · 09/07/2013 14:13

It does get easier with the feeding. They get more efficient, you get more confident, they drink less milk etc.

The anti-depressants are really knocking me out, which is good I guess as I am sleeping better. The antibiotics make me feel sick all the time, but I can breathe now.

J is pretty much well again, but his chest is still wheezy. He is loving being on his tum and is getting around in a very slow commander type crawl. It will not be long until he is crawling properly.

TheDetective · 09/07/2013 14:51

You're a star fatima! Yeah, online tends not to be as great for the range of stuff. Most of the stuff was already sold out in most sizes, yet still seen it in stores!

I have the frog sleep suits in 3-6, and can just about squeeze him in still! Will get them in 9-12. Also the lion dungarees I have in 6-9! Might get them in 9-12 too, or 12-18 for winter...

VQ Best news I've heard in ages. Well, not knocking you out, but yay for good sleep, and breathing, and mr commando crawler!

Off to school. O is whinge whinge whinge this afternoon!

PurplePidjin · 09/07/2013 14:54

R went down at 7:30, resettled at 8:20 (unusual, think it was something outside?) then woke 1:30 and 4, up at 7. Slowly improving.

Dp has just taken him for a walk so I'm going to clingfilm up my jelly tot and wash! Think a bath will be easier then i can hang it over the side...

ChasingDaisy · 09/07/2013 15:01

I have started to plan two weddings Hmm Blush and enjoyed it but I think if I ever do get married now I won't be too concerned with all the trimmings I'll just be fucking grateful that somebody actually goes through with marrying me

VQ that's great news about J and your sleep. It's too soon for the antidepressants to be having any effect on your mood I guess, but I hope you get good results from them.

Also very jealous of haggis meet Envy

Still feeling low and can't put my finger on why. Taking O to see XP tomorrow so could be that, but I don't think it is. Just feel a bit worn out, emotionally. Oh well, it will pass.

BigPigLittlePig · 09/07/2013 15:11

Chasing ((squidge)) just one of those days.

We missed the lunchtime nap, as out at baby group. F is currently crashed out with her legs spread wide apart, in her pushchair. Sooo ladylike Grin

VQ so glad to hear your chest is getting better.

Pass with bf, I have got used to the permanent "bad boob job" look, ie. v perky. I have a strong suspicion they will look, erm, deflated, once I stop all the more reason to carry on longer

MissMummy1 · 09/07/2013 15:55

How are you all keeping your babies cool in this heat?!

BigPigLittlePig · 09/07/2013 15:57

Nudity, MM. And splashing about in water, starkers.

Bryzoan · 09/07/2013 16:43

Been playing in the garden. R said she wanted a snack so I nipped in to get some watermelon. Came back out to find her very earnestly feeding G grass. Both perfectly happy....

Bryzoan · 09/07/2013 16:49

Cross-post chasing - hugs. Sadly I think it is inevitable that you will have low days sometimes. I think ending a relationship just does hurt - even if it was a crap relationship with a total arsehole. Early night tonight and tomorrow will be better. X

Pikz - I am also very jealous of your beach wedding. Sounds beautiful.

Bryzoan · 09/07/2013 17:29

And bplp - great that the nursery day went well. Very confidence restoring.

YellowWellies · 09/07/2013 17:34

Envy Envy Envy to Mauritius wedding! We had fish and chips and an ice cream van Grin errrr....

Yes Haggis quiche!!! Tomorrow for pool party and nomathon (have got some dairy free ice cream in the freezer too!) at chez wellies is awesome sauce and will give me a kick up the arse to get the hoover out Grin . DH will keel over in shock Smile Smile Smile . Shall we say any time after 11 - I'll PM with the address. VQ, Stacks anyone else is welcome Smile

Been to the beach with half of Fife today OMG! It must have been getting towards 30c - too hot for bears. Thank god my pal brought a tent / shelter thingy so we had a bit of shade.

My boobs will no doubt become like two aged half deflated balloons - they're much more squishy than they were Confused but BF is still disguising this.
