This thread's topic is what size of nappies are your babies in? And how are the cloth bum babies doing?

Morning. Record quiet night.

Well here they all slept through but that is the norm rather than the exception the last week or so.

Nothing planned for today apart from trying to keep cool and keep my cool.

Pikz · 09/07/2013 07:47

We were up for an hour at midnight for a reason I don't know or will never know I think.

7-6 here Shock

Det F's best RL friend, H, is an O (too many initials going on there I know) - he also likes to move and groove, especially out the patio doors. In fact any open door. His mum said she is tireder now than when he was a newborn Grin.

Has anyone else not had a period yet? I really thought mine would have started now I'm only feeding F twice a day, but nope. Nada.

Pennie definitely separation anxiety going on here. Really hope it passes quite quickly. F had a couple of bad evenings where it took her a while to settle, but she reserves the hysteria for daylight hours currently.

Beautiful morning here, fresh and crisp, and with the promise of oodles of sunshine. Probably my favourite kind of weather.

F is currently having a vair serious conversation with the cat who is pointedly ignoring her and washing his bottom.

ValiumQueen · 09/07/2013 08:45

J woke again at 3 and was awake until 5. Stayed downstairs with him and he eventually settled in his bouncer. I am tired. I think it was the heat. I slept a bit on the sofa.

Pikz, I planned my own wedding, even made my own dress. I could not do it now with kids. It takes a lot of time. I was working nights at the time, and spent hours trawling the net for ideas.

ChasingDaisy · 09/07/2013 08:58

O slept 7-4.30-6.30 last night which is becoming the norm here now. Glad he seems to have dropped his 11pm feed.

Feeling a bit low today. Not sure why, but I'm sure some time in the sun will sort me out.

BigPigLittlePig · 09/07/2013 09:09

Pikz I loved looking for wedding stuff on t'internet. I liked planning our wedding, mainly because it involved making many lists. After the wedding I found some of the lists, which hadn't had everything crossed off so I had to go through them and tick them off Grin [cool person emoticon]

Bryzoan · 09/07/2013 09:24

Up at 1, 5 and then 7 here. Sleep does seem to be getting a bit better.

Sorry you're down chasing - as you say... Get out in the sun - and before it gets too hot :-)

Pikz - you've cheered me right up. Next time it all feels a bit much I shall just be thankful I'm not planning a wedding. Ours felt like bloody hard work at the time too.

TheDetective · 09/07/2013 09:25

O slept from bedtime til 5.45. And was up for the day.

Okay, so I can't have everything, right?

I'm damn well going to try though! Going to try pinning a black out sheet to the wall. He has black out curtains. Makes fuck all difference gaaaah!

You will sleep til 7. You will! PLEEEEEEEASE! I think it is a psychological thing. If the number isn't 7 I just don't wanna know! Grin

After 7, you get full on happy mummy mode! Surely you want happy mummy, yes?!

My sunburn is hurting more today Hmm.

BP I am consistently losing 2lb a week in weight now O is crawling! I wonder why...!!

YellowWellies · 09/07/2013 09:29

Morning dudes. Tis sunny. AGAIN. Huzzah - after 2 years on a sub Arctic island I am neeeeever going to tire of this weather. Last summer I was in a minimum of two layers of knitwear at all times. This is so much more fun (hope we get a good cold winter too - I love the seasons).

The bear slept through and woke up on the dot of 7am - the earliest point I let him start the day so we've been busy - the washing basket is empty and everything is drying on the line. Does anyone else's baby LOVE watching the washing machine - Jonas hoots with laughter at the spin cycle Confused . He's just having a wee snooze then we're off to playgroup.

His baby walker arrived in the post - can't wait to build it and see what he thinks.

MissMummy1 · 09/07/2013 09:31

Talking of AF, I haven't had a period since having the implant fitted a month ago Confused This is good, right? This means it is working and I am one of the lucky few with whom it. stops periods? I wasn't worried until this morning...

Quiet night here too.

Hope you had a lovely holiday pennie

Pass you know where we are if you fancy some company. Speaking of which, have we settled on a date/venue for next haggis meet?

Another scorching day here.

Passmethecrisps · 09/07/2013 09:35

Hallo again.

Weddings are hard work. I loved aspects of mine and hated others. I had no interest in hair dos and makeup but I did love the dress making. Thankfully DH did almost all of it. He did a good job. When's the big day pikz?

P is up at 6am every day pretty much. She starts to stir at 5ish but doesn't want to be awake so I often have to go through at least twice to settle her as she wants to doze a bit more. Then anytime between 6 and 6:30 is normal. Can't actually remember the last time it was as late as 6:30 though. This suits us fine as in less than 5 weeks I will be back at work and we will need to be up and about early.

Poor you and J VQ.

Get out for a wander and a coffee if you can chasing

TheDetective · 09/07/2013 09:39

No periods for me for the whole time I had the implant MM and no worries of being pregnant because I didn't have a shag for the entire time it was in.

No periods on mini pill either.

But I DP didn't like the loss of sex drive.

Baaaah!

YellowWellies · 09/07/2013 09:52

Weddings are hard work - thankfully DH was anally retentive spreadsheet happy and organised much of it. I found looking for a dress hard as everything seemed too bling / Katie Price / gypsy wedding / swarovowski crystal-tastic for me. I had a dress made in the end and it worked out cheaper. This was after I realised I hated going to dress shops and being assumed you were a bridezilla perfectionist freak, given bucks fizz and too much simpering attention from shop assistants. I wish someone had warned me they get in the cubicle with you to help you into dresses as you try them - I'd have shaved my legs!!! Grin

MM no AF rock on! Still none here.

Hadn't we settled on Friday for a quiche meet with venue TBC?. I'm happy to host (have a paddling pool with sunshade for a wee pool party) though not sure if it's meant to be west or central this time. We could go to the beach!

Passmethecrisps · 09/07/2013 09:53

Bonjour haggisers. Tomorrow? Thursday?

P ate most of a piece of toast this morning. I would say 2/3rds were actually nommed.

On the topic of nomming, does anyone else feel a bit hemmed in with all the nomming to be done? P is on 5 bottles a day and 3 meals. That is 8 feeds a day all squished into 13 hours. I don't feel confident giving her solids in public so I often feel a bit stuck in the house. For example today she woke at 6:15 so bottle by 6:30 then she was back in bed by 7:30 (that's another thing - anyone else's baby still wanting back in bed so early?). Brekkie at 9, bottle at 10. Nap. Lunch at about 12:30ish, bottle at 1:30ish and so on.

It feels relentless!

Elizadoesdolittle · 09/07/2013 09:54

I absolutely adored planning my wedding (but that might be partly as I paid everyone to do what I wanted rather than make things myself). I wish I could do it all over again....to the same man of course (just incase DH is doing a MrDetective.)

Woop for quite night fred. Hope it was cos there was lots of sleep to be had.

Just off to make a picnic. Going to a park with a large paddling pool and sandpit. Going to pretend I'm at the beach.

Enjoy the sun everyone.

chasing hope you feel better once you get out and about x

Passmethecrisps · 09/07/2013 09:58

Did we say Friday? Friday is fine. stacs comin?

I also had my frock made YW and also found it was cheaper than many shop bought ones. I also had a coat made as we were married in February. I plan to have it adjusted so I can wear it this winter. I was actually invited to model my dress at the Edinburgh wedding show but sadly I was very pregnant at the time. Not quite the look they were going for.

YellowWellies · 09/07/2013 10:01

Pass I can do tomorrow or Thursday. Blether? paddling pool? I've a couple of highchairs and a bumbo so they could have a messy dinner party Grin

TheDetective · 09/07/2013 10:02

I wish I knew if there were any outdoor pool type things round here. I'm pretty sure there aren't :( booooo!

Pass Yes. Totally. Feel like all I do all day is feed feed feed! The baby. Not me!

MissMummy1 · 09/07/2013 10:16

Pikz · 09/07/2013 10:43

Pass yes yes yes to the feeding!

We are getting married in April hopefully in Mauritius. The dress I've not even thought about yet just trying to book venue! It's difficult as DP from Cape Town and me from North Yorkshire so we have decided to fly both mums out and the rest of them can come if they want/can.

Passmethecrisps · 09/07/2013 11:22

pool and nommathon tomorrow? awesome!

QQ about stair gates. We will need one for the top of our stairs but it will need to go on the first (last) stair if that makes sense?

Any recommendations? I am looking at the lyndam one on Amazon

Kyzordz · 09/07/2013 11:27

Morning everyone, looks like it was pretty quiet on here last night, good nights had? 7:45-6:45 here last night, so no complaining here

bplp hope the cm hurries up with giving you your money back!

Lovely for you to have a mummy friend det I have one but don't see her often, must fix this as she's great and Eric adores her little girl

Hpefully it'll pass pennie Eric has had a couple of nights like that but not many FC for no more lol

I reckon I'd plan my own wedding if I ever got married, I'd enjoy lists, I love lists

Yes pass I totally feel like that, four bottles and 3 meals is muchos to be done! He's either eating, being cleaned or asleep and I am either preparing his food, feeding him or cleaning up! Which brings me to the point that its lunch time and I must feed him! Am also not confident feeding out, want to avoid public food refusal and tantrums! Yay for toast nomming!
