This thread's topic is what size of nappies are your babies in? And how are the cloth bum babies doing?

Have spent a lovely afternoon in a pub with a great kiddie friendly garden celebrating my DSIS birthday. Both kids were angels until 7pm which happened to coincide with somebody coming for a 2nd viewing of our house. DD1 had a massive meltdown at the same time as E projectile vomited all over her, me, the floor, anything within the vicinity. The mans face as he backed to the front door and legged it as fast as he could was a picture! Ah well.....Grin

Just need to make dinner then will catch up on fred. Hope all quichesters are well.

PurplePidjin · 08/07/2013 20:31

Still a jelly tot, but iodine flavoured now :o I'm supposed to keep the original plaster on for 3 days, have had to replace it already! It's right on my calf muscle so pulls when i walk. Can't get it wet either and i smell Sad

ChasingDaisy · 08/07/2013 20:41

Evening all,

pig that nursery sounds idyllic Smile I am lucky that my dad and stepmum will be looking after O when I find a job but I would like him to have some more social interaction so will think about nursery too.

Had a nice day today, took O to the library this morning where we sat and O ignored me as I read to him looked at the books. Books with mirrors are a big hit. Then a girl who must have been about a year old, came over and started 'chatting' to him and he was blowing raspberries in reply. He couldn't take his eyes off of her. He really is such a ladies man!

ChasingDaisy · 08/07/2013 20:42

Pidj can you tape a plastic bag over it so you can shower? That's what I do when I have had stitches in inconvenient places.

YellowWellies · 08/07/2013 20:54

Chasing we have a wee ladies man too - tho he's less subtle than O. My pal from the island was holding him today and he was squishing her boobs with his fingers Shock Blush. He clearly doesn't know that not all the boobies are his Grin

BigPigLittlePig · 08/07/2013 20:56

Yes pidj - clingfilm wrapped around the offending limb is quite good too.

Chasing F is Envy at Os flirtations with other laydeez Wink

izzybizzybuzzybees · 08/07/2013 21:07

In glorious sunshine today. Had sunglasses on... Now look like a reverse panda! Except red!

Evilwater · 08/07/2013 21:08

Hello all, sorry I've not posted. It's very hot here not gone below 27 all day. So N has been prickerly all day, and it's been a nightmare to get him to bed.

Work tomorrow, so 0530 start!
Evil

Kyzordz · 08/07/2013 21:09

Evening guysssss! How goes?

I like the word bizzum, it's a funny one :)

pp hope your leg gets better soon. Eric has been more sleepy today too, must be the weather

Hope o feels better soon det from what I can tell hayfever is a barsteward and makes people right uncomfortable :( hope the piriton helps him

So pleased f was ok at nursery bplp :) it sounds lovely there:)

E is a ladies man too, he especially likes blondes it seems!

eliza I had to laugh, sorry! Typical that both 'erupted' at once lol!

madame I agree! If I had to lie there, and do nothing, fine, but being busy in this heat is not fun in the slightest!!

Today has been a weird one. It's been far too hot and e has whined a fair bit, BUT he has eaten really well! Bonus! Am fully expecting tomorrow to go to pot but never mind!

YellowWellies · 08/07/2013 21:28

Bizzum is from besom - the name of the twig broom / classic witch's broomstick apparently. My sister's wee girl is regularly called a bizzum Grin

ValiumQueen · 08/07/2013 21:34

J has settled already! Wow! And it is 29 deg in the nursery. FFS!!!!!!!!!!

For the first time ever he is not in a sleeping bag. He has a cellular cotton blanket over him but that is all.

I am in bed. Night night all x

kirrinIsland · 08/07/2013 21:59

i've just cleared a whole carrier bag of rubbish from my car Shock
Please don't label me the quiche slattern!

How is work going Evil ?

PetiteRaleuse · 08/07/2013 22:05

I have removed the thermometres because seeing such stupidly high temperatures stresses me out.

Sitting out on terrace and the cat is fighting a losing battle with Ms. tiggywinkle. The dog now accepts that his food and any scraps are to be shared with a prickly aggressive little mammal. I have frontlined the incumbrant and sod the fact it is a wild animal.

The hornet is stupid. It eventually managed to find its way out but flew right back in. It is somewhere in my house but stuck. It's a very loud buzzer. I hope it finds its way out overnight.

Oh. AF arrived this afternoon. My last ever pregnancy scare is over. I look forward now to newborn snuggles with my grandchildren.

PetiteRaleuse · 08/07/2013 22:07

*thermometres in the bedrooms I mean. Talking about room temps not child temps.

izzybizzybuzzybees · 08/07/2013 22:21

I fed J and handed him over to daddy. I'm feeling crap so off to bed.

PetiteRaleuse · 08/07/2013 22:24

Hope you get a good night izzy

ValiumQueen · 08/07/2013 22:33

Wake up number 1 after an hour. Settled after 5oz. And DD2 is groaning.

ValiumQueen · 08/07/2013 22:34

And AF arrived here too. Deep joy.

TheDetective · 08/07/2013 22:35

Chasing sorry but I just roared with laughter! Grin

I had an image of a carrier bag sellotaped to the fanjo... Grin

Your day sounds lovely!

I would like to declare I have a mummy friend! My first one! I feel like a giddy teenager with a crush Grin.

Her baby is just like the broken quiche babies! He doesn't feed well, sleep well, or do anything the books say! Plus, he is like O in the moving and grooving department! They had much fun beating each other up while mummies are going 'gentle, gentle', then we looked at each other then said, fuck it. They aren't listening anyway, they will learn one day!

She just said that he is currently in the middle of their bed, leaving no room for anyone else, and has the tantrum of all tantrums when they try and move him to the cot! Sounds so familiar!

Eeeeeh. RL friends are nice too :)

No one else admits to having a shit feeder or sleeper IRL!

YW O has taken a sudden liking to my boobs. But just for smacking Hmm. And only at bedtime. He feeds while he smacks his outstretched palm against my boob. Must be bare skin. If not, the hand goes down the top... Hmm Confused.

Speaking of bare skin. Does anyone elses baby hate skin to skin? O hates being cuddled to sleep if he can feel skin on him! He must have a blanket in between his skin and anyone elses. He's always been like that. I just never thought about it til now!

TheDetective · 08/07/2013 22:39

Due AF here too. But given my last 2 cycles have been longer than 30 days, and the injection I had in the fanjo can mess with periods, I don't think mine is anywhere near coming. In fact, I'm fairly sure I haven't yet ovulated this month. Confused

I'm not sure what is going on with my body. :( Long cycles, and incredibly heavy periods.

Always had 26 day cycles before. And while I've had heavy periods, other than when I had a coil, these are the heaviest I've ever had.

Izzy hope tonight is the night. :)

PetiteRaleuse · 08/07/2013 22:53

Skin on skin worked for me a few weeks ago when LO was distressed for some reason (we'll never know what) . With the heat though skin on ski must be unpleasant for both parties at this age. Maybe a newborn would enjoy it for the reassuring smell... LO is living in M&S 100% cotton vests (cheap inbig packs of ten here). No blankets, except on the terrace in the evening, and just a sheet at night, light enough to be kicked off.

Pikz · 08/07/2013 23:25

Planning weddings is hard :(

Sophiathesnowfairy · 09/07/2013 06:10

pr woop woop that is greattastic news. ( although things may have changed since I just read that!)

ChasingDaisy · 09/07/2013 07:00

Quietest night ever for the quiche??

Passmethecrisps · 09/07/2013 07:03

Morning.

Daddycrisp left early this morning for a conference so just us ladies in the crisp household.

Quiet overnight - what does that mean?
