Hi girls,

Awww..thank you!! Making me feel very special. I don't know what to say, i'm still in shock, have only told you guys and our parents, telling everyone else after the 12 week milestone. According to PG calculator I'll be due February 25th, have made appt to see Dr on Monday though. Sickness has kicked in but got to get on, LO demanding attention and have another 30 mins of work to transcribe, edit and send....

Will catch up tonight when deadline met, i'm sorry that I've missed your news with all my self absorption...

p.s. All reassurance most welcome x

Diege · 30/06/2006 11:04

Phew, just back from driving lesson, and from tellinf instructor 'one of my friends has just found out she's pregnant' (very proud). Can you believe my only real 'fault' now is pulling over ina safe place, and pulling out again?? Like how hard can that be?? But I either signal unnecessarily, forget blindspot check, leave massive gap next to kerb...arghh!! Will I ever get there!!
BTW CHACHA, remember what it was like with when I was pregnant woith dd2, and dd1 was 7 months; hard work, and if it's any consolation when dd2 was biorn it was a doddle compared to being pregnant and looking after a baby!! (Don't know if this makes you fel better or worse!!). Do know that they will def. be very close though, and will provide you with so much happiness as you watch them grow together

Londoner · 30/06/2006 11:06

Oh, so lovely ChaCha, good luck with finishing your work/entertaining Zayn/feeling excited/feeling nauseous..... you can do it ChaCha![hug]

Right, off to E's 8 month check, dh keeps laughing at her and says she'll fail as she's not yet crawling....

Londoner · 30/06/2006 11:07

Lol - cross posts Diege!
Well done on driving lesson, right must go............

browniechick · 30/06/2006 12:34

Oooooohhhhh Well Done ChaCha !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Am actually now speechless!! and believe me that is not a regular occurrence!!!!!

You will be fine am sure (and also a sly minx - what with the "am guessing can't be pg cos me and dh haven't erm....ermmmm.....ermmmmmmm if you know what I mean lately"!!!!!????? - yeah right!!! )

Am still in complete myself, so am guessing you must be too!!!

Wonder if Bear has had a BFP yet?? Wonder if she occasionally lurks and has seen Chach's news?

Very glad I sneaked on at work now - my jaw nearly hit the desk when I read it!!!!
Well, off now......

WOOOPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Wow Congratulations!! What fab news

Yes no wonder you've been feeling rubbish! I told you didn't I?!!!

Londoner · 30/06/2006 13:24

....okay, so ChaCha, how did you tell dh? What did he say when you told him? Sorry, am I too nosey? Good job you didn't start SW and have to listen to woman say you're gaining weight each week and you shaking your head and tutting "... just don't understand...". No wonder you were baking all those cakes! Does it all seem obvious now with benefit of hindsight?

ChaCha · 30/06/2006 13:55

ROFL at you lot You're great!!!

I told DH that I had suspicions simply because AF is never that late and I had 'been on his case' quite a lot as of late, poor man! I remember being really horrible to everyone last year including colleagues and bursar
He wasn't convinced, said it wasn't possible. Did the test early this morning and woke him up, showed him results, he gave me a hug and said 'Oh my God' muttered under his breath and went to lie down, he hee! Then woke my dad, told him and he said 'is this going to happen everytime i visit?' as I got PG two weeks after dad arrived last year. And that's it really

Benefit of hindsight...lol, yeah, something like that. Thank you all, you've made me feel v.special, funny thing is, don't feel quite as excited about number two especially when I'm already heading towards the loo...

Still not finished work, very hard to hear with DS awake and screaming. Have called for back up.

Nova - I hope that you are feeling better, can't you get online from your laptop in bed? Let us know how you are doing.

GarfieldsGirl · 30/06/2006 14:28

Fantastic news ChaCha* Congratulations to you all

Aaaahh! Zayn's going to be a big brother. Wahoo!

Very pleased for you. If you moonlight elsewhere, we will stalk you!

GarfieldsGirl · 30/06/2006 14:29

lol at Londoners description of ChaCha at SW!

ChaCha · 30/06/2006 15:20

Thankfully my deadline has been extended as client not home until late anyway...phew!

I've noticed amazing change in DS over the past week or so! He tells me off and really cries!

Right, talk soon x

Tex111 · 30/06/2006 15:29

ChaCha!! Congratulations!! What wonderful news. So happy for you.

goldenoldie · 30/06/2006 22:38

Congrats ChaCha - think two very close in age are called 'Irish twins'!

goldenoldie · 30/06/2006 22:52

LilJ - yes, I do have JenJam's e-mail/phone number. Ring me.

Diege · 01/07/2006 12:21

Hi everyone . Well, day-to-day stuff seems quite under-whelming compared to CHACHA's news . Gorgeous weather here, so enjoying sunshine and going to brave the '[no]funday ' in town this afternoon .
Catching up on marking now, after migraine last night (though managed to catch BB - HOW good is the twist!!.
Right, speak later!
Diege [smilch

Diege · 01/07/2006 12:22

Hi girls,

Hi Diege, at least it lived up to its name - great!

How and where is everyone? We have dug out an old TV from the shed and are watching the match in the garden. LO is in a big basin of water playing happily and making much noise!

Have just realised today that LO can sit up on his own now, is very sweet. It's soooo warm here, brings back memories of being PG last summer. I'm trying to hold it down best I can but feeling very nauseous most of the time. Gone are the days where I could spend all day in bed moaning/worrying about every little ache and sickness bout. Ah well.....

LO is 7 months old tomorrow!! Where has it gone? See you all later x

GarfieldsGirl · 01/07/2006 20:37

Hiya - howwwwwwwww hot is it???

Glad your funday turned out to be surprisingly fun

Well done Zayn

Been to see Fireman Sam today at teh theatre. Owen loved it. The Slobbermonster came too, and was so so good. Much better behaved than many of the 3 year oldds there!

My Girls Aloud tix came today, so getting very excited. Seans TumbleTots bits came through as well.

Finally got tax sorted and am getting used to driving an automatic again. Its nice that DP can drive too, so I'm no longer taxi driver. Yippee.

Being lazy. had fish and chips for dinner, and now just waiting for our kebab to arrive. Greedy pigs we are!

Something else exciting too, but can't remembr what it was. hmmmmm... Thats it! Las Vegas is back on next friday. I've been whinging all year about season 3 and now its back. Can't wait. Not that exciting really, little things eh!

I'll stop boring you all now with all my (non)exciting news!!

Tex111 · 01/07/2006 21:15

Hi gals, hope you're all keeping cool. Just wanted to say that I'm in this month's (August) edition of Practical Parenting! They did an article about my pregnancy with Rosie on page 30. I'm really pleased with it. Going to be a nice addition to Rosie's baby book (at least there will be something in there ).

browniechick · 01/07/2006 21:33

Hey all. Diege, glad you enoyed the funday
GG - glad you had a good time at Fireman Sam, and are excited about GA (I would be too, they aren't half bad are they!)
Tex - ooh well done you, you celeb you!
Chacha - glad to hear you are holding up, I for one am not keen on the heat! Don't recall last year being too bad when PG - but I do feel for you.

Thomas is doing really well - he had his "settling in report" from Nursery yesterday. They said he is a beautiful smiley boy who is a pleasure to look after! [v. proud Mummy emoticon!]. They also mentioned his "tremendous appetite"!! and the fact he loves playing with his friends and having lots of kisses and cuddles from his familiar carers. It was lovely to read .

Has anyone else found that the heat has made their LO have a really runny nappy? (not the nappy you understand, but the contents! ) Thomas had a v liquid poo before bed, but think it is the heat affecting him, cos he is ok now (fingers very crossed, as don't want a repeat of his tummy bug last time )

DH is off to Donnington tomorrow to watch the motogp - so am on own from 6am till around 7pm - just hope he and his mates have the sense to apply suncream etc - I usually text them, but they all laugh at me - then wonder why they burn! See, Brown Owl knows best!

Right, off to bed, am soo tired!

Brownie

Rodeo · 01/07/2006 22:02

Evening!
Pheweeee it's been hot! Oh and England losing How disappointing! Well apart from that we've had a lovely day, with the paddling pool out, Joe's been paying non-stop football - I've been in goal (well sat between posts reading) and Jess is quite contented to sit in the shade watching everything go by. Won't be able to plonk her down for long though she is so close to crawling, gulp!
Diege, glad you enjoyed funday, and what great weather for it! Agree about BB, although that loud woman and the lad from Dublin are awful!
GG, Girls Aloud ticks! How exciting! Did you see Cheryl in the crowd today? Posh's new bf!
Hi Brownie! I'm just up the road from Donington, you could have come to mine for Sunday dinner! Speaking of which we should get that meet-up to Stratford under way, one day in August maybe?

Rodeo · 01/07/2006 22:18

Tex, well done you! Diege had seen your article and says you look marvellous, keep forgetting to get it so will have to write it on my hand

Oh and smug dp.......last night while buying our wine he got asked for ID! WTH???!! He's 31! And my BF got asked too a couple of months ago - in the supermarket with her toddler and baby in the trolley !! And she didn't have any so got refused How embarrassing!
Right think I might get an early night too

Diege · 02/07/2006 09:05

Morning everyone . A gorgeous day again . We live on a canal, so Libby has been sitting out in her ring, waving and screeching at all the boats passing by, really enjoying herself.
Children's party this morning, that (luckily) DH is going to (the good side of not being able to drive!)while I look after the others, and then over to a friend's this afternboon for the 'paddling pool' experinece.
RODEO: lo at your DP and his age check! Was he flattered, or a bit peeved? Remember being asked in m&s when I was about 28, and being well-chuffed, with 30 around the corner .
GG: agree, very exciting about girl's aloud tickets!! Even though they get slagged off, I really like their songs, and thuink they look great too . When is the concert??
BROWNIE/RODEO: yes, we must get a Stratford meet sorted out, perhaps at a weekend? (just thinking selfishly of how I would get there!!). THe DPs could look after the kids and we could have a good goss'!. Some time in August perhaps, as Rodeo says??
Right, last night's ironing to sort out. BTW, anyone else watching wimbledon?? Andy Murray match was great last night, although he says sone really odd stuff about women, so can't bring myself to support him 100%. Funny how stuff like that can put you off a complete stranger!!
