Rodeo anything to make you feel better honey!
You are joking about the name of that centre aren't you? People who work there must hate having to say that mouthful everytime - bet they just say they work for the council Smile

You could get J's name changed but it is a real hassle as the Registrar messed up Tom's registration and it has to be changed at the central register etc - glad it wasn't my mistake as the deputy got a right rocket for messing it up and I got a grovelling apology!

Funnily I thought J was still Jessica and when I posted all the lo's b'days on the yahoo calendar I had put her in as Jessica but changed it to Jess the other day.

My turn for a confession, I often pause when people ask me Tom's name Blush and I couldn't remember his dob for at least 4/5 months - how awful is that and I still have an internal argument with myself as to whether it is the 24th or the 26thBlush

But then again I lost my keys 3x im my mates house yesterday, took Ben to school when it was shut on Monday and forgot his best friend was at school all day today and got pizzas for both of them to decorate for lunch and asked my friend what she'd done with her daughter when she turned up alone - bring on the room with the padded walls Grin

Can we take the 20th debate over to the Y site to make final decisons. Time I think is sorted now it's just the locations, those of you who haven't logged on for a while on that site will see that Londoner has posted a suggestion too, so a show of hands please! Who's coming would help too Grin

Right question- has anyone got any experience of these survey companies that pay you for completing them. I need to earn some money but can't face working till midnight etc and thought I'd give them ago - opinions please. Right i'm off to do some more research See you later Beks

Hi girls,

Are we all agreed upon Kensington Gardens at 12 then? I shall get off the coach at Notting Hill Gate and walk through the park from Bayswater Road. Just let me know the meeting point now and we're all set :o

DH went on holiday today, he just arrived and sounds relaxed and happy. Missing him terribly and now know how Nova must have felt. Dad loves football (DH does not) so watched the match with him today. LO got very excited when grandad was screaming and shouting at the screen! Just hope the neighbours were doing the same.

Tex - I'm sorry to hear the news of your grandma, but hope that you have a good time away.

Nova - Congratulations on the voluntary work. I remember how much you used to love going there when pregnant and how much compassion you showed to animals. They will be glad to have you on board there. Well done :)

Rodeo - Hope you're feeling better now.

Thank you girls. I no longer feel guilty about the missing meal :)

See you all later and helloooos to everyone else x

ChaCha · 15/06/2006 21:03
Blush Sorry Beksy's mum, cross posts. Will toddle off to Y group ....
ChaCha · 15/06/2006 21:07

Beks - ROFL at Padded Walls. You Wally!!!!

Why not post on another section. I'd seen lots of threads before on that kind of thing. Might be worth a shot and seems like a good idea to me. Have you thought of telemarketing too?

GarfieldsGirl · 15/06/2006 21:23

BEKs - I'm on quite a few of those survey sites, also used to do some mystery shopper stuff. I don't do it for masses of money tho. The prob with them (esp ciao) can be that you fill in loads of q's about demographics, then they tell you they've already got enough respondents like you and you don't get paid anything at all. But I still do it, kills a few hours, and I'm sure if you hunted around enough you'd find some really well paying ones.

browniechick · 15/06/2006 21:50

Hello.
Tex hugs to you - Sad to hear of your loss. Enjoy Disney, as best you can.
Hhmm - names, I was going to be an Ian Gordon (I think!) but that would have been weird, as that is my Dad's twins name, so there would have been 2 of us with the same name! Not sure how serious my Mum was when she told me that story!? Grin
Thomas was going to be Georgia Alice if he'd been a girl - infact we'd only got girls names sorted, then we found out he was a boy! Kept toying with Thomas Henry Charles, or Thomas Charles, but went with Thomas Henry in the end.
Am really quite tired - it's all these 6:00 wake up calls! No longer have a need for an alarm clock anymore though! Can always rely on my little man to wake me up!
Have got to find a dress soon - am going to a wedding (friend of DHs) in August, and think I need a new outfit. Might even splash out on accesories if I can actually succeed in finding the outfit!
Anyway, gonna call it a night girls and get me some kip.
Hugs to you all
Nighty Night
Brownie Smile

Rodeo · 15/06/2006 22:10

Just found some funny quotes from some of the MN regs in an old Gaurdian article \link{http://www.guardian.co.uk/g2/story/0,,1341866,00.html\here} :)

Right need an early night after today's migraine. Night! x x x

novadandypowder · 15/06/2006 22:24

I need an early night too, Naddy did a fantastic job of projectile vomiting her bedtime bottle and dinner everywhere, so expecting her to wake up tonight.

Re: names - We were set on Esme until about 7 months when DH came up with Natalie. She didn't have a middle name until the night before we registered her, and then we just went for my name. A boy may have been Pip or Gene, but we were convinced we were having a girl so didn't really think about it.

Re: meet-up on 20th - I'm not coming, so have fun and post some pics.

Rodeo - those pics were taken by a friend of mine at the bbq. She did a photography course and was trying out her 'proper' camera (she now sneers at digital). Sadly Nads was in a rubbish mood, but some of them are ok.

Diege · 16/06/2006 08:39

Morning everyone Smile. Feel like a washed up dish rag this morning (self-indulogent post coming up). Woken at 1am by DH's snoring Angry, then Scarlett started screaming shortly after, and on and off till 5 this morning Sad. Needless to say, I didn't actually get back to sleep and was out of bed to her countless times. TBH before L I would do controlled crying with her, but now this wakes L,so not a good idea!! One 'reason' for her crying was that she was tired - that one didn't go down well Grin.
Not looking for sympathy, just needed to write it down to try and get things in perpective - I'm sure everyone has worse nights than this!!
Anyway, DH has taken all 3 to school/nursery, as I have driving lesson at 10 - oh what fun!! If I'm going to crash I'll do it today!
RODEO: loved the Guardian article, some great ones there (yes, I've done the nappy bags thing!!)BROWNIE: oooh a wedding Grin. Why not try somewhere like Monsoon for an outfit?? They have some gorgeous summer things, that you would would wear again, and they do an online service!!
Right the coffee is calling!
Diege

Rodeo · 16/06/2006 10:07

Morning,

Oh goody, the sun's come back! The Midlands has been under a pemanent cloud all week - thanks Beks Wink
Diege, oh poor you, sounds awful :( Are you not at work this week? Maybe you can sneak upstairs for a nap when you get off your lesson :) I always say 'I'm just going to do a quick tidy upstairs..' and dp finds me an hour later asleep in bed Blush Just been on the Monsoon website! You are right, they have some lovely stuff!! Brownie, it's \link{http://store.monsoon.co.uk/catalog/Welcome\here!} Wish I was going to a wedding just so I could get one - although they're all so nice I'd want them all!
I've always wanted to do a photography course, Nova. Might get some inpiration now to do one :) I'll look into it for September
Right, housework beckons.......

Diege · 16/06/2006 11:08

Oh you are good doing a link for me RODEO Grin. Back from driving lesson (don't talk to me about one-way streets)and in need of a stiff drink Blush. Am working from home today, so off to get roots done at 12 Grin. Like you style btw re: popping up for a sleep!! (that's what DH does, without the tidying excuse!!!)Will push through now though and get to bed early tonight!
Right, off to hit town!

BEKsmum · 16/06/2006 11:28

Morning,

Diege sorry to hear about your nightmare night, it's a killer isn't it once you've had a few nights undisturbed.

Rodeo, so that's where my cloud went, send it back will you, it's obviously got no sense of direction Grin

Off to do some errands this pm while Ben's at school, but have spent the morning watching my wedding video as Ben asked about his other grandad who died just before he was born. Sadly I didn't realise before but dh's dad doesn't actually feature in it a huge amount and certainly doesn't speak which is a real shame. It was funny watching it though although the language and the behaviour on it wasn't really suitable for a 4 year old to watch including his godmother mooning at the camera Blush Grin

Hope you are all having a great day, speak to you later Beks

browniechick · 16/06/2006 12:52

Hey All! Thanks for the link guys - knew I could rely on my shopping guru friends! Have also spotted a couple of nice "non-chain" shops in Stratford - and spied a couple of nice dresses, so might have a look roudn at the weekend!
Rodeo - thanks for that link to the article - I am afraid that I suffer from the "Pushchair and Pram Envy"! I am always looking at other people's prams!!!! It is almost an obsession! Luckily so far I have not been arrested or thumped for it, but it could only be a matter of time......GrinWink
Well, better go, as am sneaking on at work!
Rodeo - hope you are feeling better today - I too am a migraine sufferer, and know how blinking awful they can be. I am never sick with mine though, not sure which is worse? My Dad is also a sufferer - he is violently sick with his, then he says that once he has been sick, he starts to feel better, and can sleep it off. Anyway, hope you feeling better.
Diege - enjoy working from home!

Speak to you all later, best do some work now!!

Brownie Smile

novadandypowder · 16/06/2006 13:46

Diege - what a killer! A good excuse to have lots of cola today Grin

Naddy has got conjunctivitus (sp?) so it's off to the doctor again this afternoon. Can't complain really, we've been pretty ailment free in the past 8 months.

novadandypowder · 16/06/2006 13:51

Just had a look through the Guardian article and I'm lmao! Esp. love the comment about the moustache.

tessasmum · 16/06/2006 15:27

LOVE the article. Really needed a giggle as sleep deprivation is making life hard ATM.
Will post more when wriggly baby is somewhere else and not lunging at the keyboard!

GarfieldsGirl · 16/06/2006 20:11

Great find Rodeo! So, so true on so many of those, and yes, I've also done the nappy bag thing Blush. Tesco blue ones are my faves!

Rodeo · 16/06/2006 20:33

Evening :)

Glad you liked it, anything to make my lades smile :) I liked the moustache one too and the jaundice one!
Just waiting for the BB eviction to begin, then I'm going to venture to the pub for last orders, on my own! Going in to see Heather and a few of the regulars, but think if I leave it too long I won't be able to do it (bit like sex after childbirth!)
Sorry to hear your suffering from sleep deprivation too Tessasmum, hope things get better soon :)
Beks LOL at Ben's mooning godmother!!
Are you having your early night tonight Diege? I'm rubbish at getting early nights - even at 28 year of age I still think I'm missing something!
Nova, hope Nat eyes get better soon. None of our babies have been too poorly (Z and Seth had a tricky period) but they're a really healthy bunch in general - yay! :)
Right BB on!

Diege · 16/06/2006 20:43

Evening!! Yep, BB time for me too, much to DH's annoyance (he's gone off to Tescos in a sulk Shock; I win all round methinks!! time on mumsnet, BB, and the shopping done Grin. Only fair I figure as a football widow!!.
GG: they do BLUE nappy bags??? Where?? I'm into the regular orange ones, and can't praise original nappy sacks enough..do not fall for imitations!! BTW, cheque sent off to you today Smile.
NOVA: am on my 3rd pepsi max today, and craving more. It's sooo bad for you, but so compulisve too Grin. btw, dd1 was plagued with conjunctivitus for many years, and tbh nothing really shifted it as it's usually viral and just has to run its course. She is prone to eye things though (suffers from blepharitus), so hoping Nats will be a one-off Smile.
RODEO: lol at deprivation with early night!!! Yes, I feel really resentful going to bed early, as I really look forward to evenings even though it's just one job after another!!! End up getting a second wing about 9, then too tired to take make-up off when I finally admnit defeat!!
Right, back to TV (err, I mean jobs!)

Diege · 16/06/2006 20:44

Meant 'second wind', lol!!

ChaCha · 16/06/2006 21:18

Hi girls,

Nova - Poor Nat, is it causing her discomfort? What can you give her to relieve it? The photos are gorgeous btw, she just gets cuter and cuter :o

Diege - LOL at second 'wing'. Had image of you flying round the house getting things done. Sorry to hear about your bad night, you do so well. I have to confess that for the past few weeks LO has been sleeping with his dad and I get our room to myself - until 6am that is. I found it tiresome last night especially when he woke twice for a feed and was quite restless. Maybe missing his dad.

Rodeo - Enjoy your night.

Had a very long day in town and am shattered, actually had to push my way onto bus as several pushchairs appeared from nowhere after I'd been waiting ages. Hate it!

Am sure I wanted to reply to someone else's post but brain has gone. Diege - Your DH has my thumbs up, i'd watch the football over BB anyday!!

Night

GarfieldsGirl · 16/06/2006 21:52

All you shoppers are bad for me! Wink

I remember one of you mentioning Taggies, so have just bought a Taggies book for Sean, and have bought a cushion for him with a photo of Owen on it, as he gets so excited when he sees him/photo of him I think he'll love it.

GarfieldsGirl · 16/06/2006 22:01

Have just realised this time last year I was sat in the hospital waiting for DP to come out of theatre. I think this weeks going to be a bit odd for me as its all going to come flooding back. He obviously only knows what he's been told.

Sorry, just realised that, and needed to tell someone about it. Smile

GG xx

Diege · 17/06/2006 08:41

Morning everyone! Gosh GG that's a tough one for you both. Excuse me if I'm being thick, but when you say DP only knows what he's being told, is he not aware of the full extent of things?? If so, that would make things even tougher for you at this time. Hold on in there, and post away Smile. On a lighter note, you shopping spree sounds fab Grin; those taggies look great!
Rushing out to ballet soon, so will post later!
Diege x

GarfieldsGirl · 17/06/2006 09:52

Diege - you spoil me Grin. Thank You, I will enjoy Wink. And so exciting getting a parcel! Has yours arrived yet?

DP was unconscious for most of the 1st week/10 days after the accident, he only knows how many ops he had because I've told him about them. Things like him screaming in pain for a whole day, I'm actually really choked up writing it down. I'm glad for him he doesn't remember it, else I think he'd be a very screwed up bloke. Thanks for letting me tell you these things, sorry for giving yuo nice reading over breakfast! Smile
