Hi Lummox - yup the sun's finally broken through the grey clouds here (beds) this morning and we're off to feed the ducks soon - it's dd's favorite open air passtime - besides shouting at said ducks to make them flap and then giggling hysterically - a girl with my SOH Grin

lummox · 02/06/2006 08:45

that's amde me giggle too, tea. ds gets terribly loud when we're anywhere near wildlife. i think he thinks the cows might be ignoring him.

Bubbaloo · 02/06/2006 09:44

Hello every one! Hope you have had a good week and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all the littlens turning 1 2day. Iv had a really hectic week,
Monday- there was a big thing with the neighbours and we had to call the police and they broke there door down and arrested them!
Tuesday- my dd was in a small crash, she was fine and was home soon enough, but I was a wreck. (and I burnt dd birthday cake
Wednesday-the rabbit got out and two dogs chased it and ripped loads of its fur out, we thought it was dead but later found him! Alive thank god, but a bit worse for ware, then we went to a party witch was a disaster ( 8 kids under 5 and a bbq do not mix)
Dp was late home so I was left trying to put the over excited kids to bed whilst building a wardrobe and a chest of draws in there bed room
Thursday- breanne and dps birthday, went ok but it took me 2 hours to make her cake and the house was completely trashed and when every one turned up dd went to sleep and no one got to see her.
Friday- spent the hole morning washing and scrubbing, them we had a picnic in the garden only to be covered in ants (I really didn’t see the ants nest). dd2 got a baby swing for her b day and dd1 tried to get in to it and the thing fell on her!

I’m dreading what might happen 2morrow

bresha · 02/06/2006 14:21

my dd2 still isn’t walking yet but I don’t think its anything to worry about, I think people just mindlessly ask questions with out thinking, bloody annoying though,
she only says a few words, she says mum when she is hungry and when she is eating. got and there go are her most recent words
katzg- glad to hear your boob pain is getting better

tribpot · 02/06/2006 20:07

bresha, that's quite a week! Hope the next one is a bit less eventful!

ds isn't walking, and doesn't have any words, but I do think our girl Junies are more advanced at talking than our boys, what do we think? Or is it more second children being more talkative than first?

We have had a good day, lovely sunshine and playtime in the garden, enjoying the swing we've been lent by my lovely neighbours. ds slept through again last night despite the puke-a-rama, and in my quest to get more solids down him, tucked into a nice lunch of spag bol followed by petit filous. He was surprised in the afternoon by a transfer offer from Barcelona FC, as you can see \link{http://homepage.ntlworld.com/phancy/ContemplatingFootball.JPG\here}.

tea - chortling at your dd's antics, what a little monkey. I was also chortling at your birth plan on our old stats thread - epidural plus chocolate, did you get get the choc at least?!

2Happy · 02/06/2006 20:12

Happy Birthdays to all the Junie birthday boy/girls! Smile

teabelly · 02/06/2006 22:07

Trib - bless him he's such a cutie Smile

No I didn't get either in the end - she came rather quickly (2 1/2 hours) so didn't have much time to think about eating and was too late for the epi...still next time.......he he he only joking there's definitely not going to be a next time - it might have been quick but it bl**dy hurt all the same (not experienced pain first time around due to wonderful epi!), nope no more little tea's until men can have them, and then boy is dh in for a shock!Grin

Bresha - wow what a week - so whatcha got planned for an encore? WinkGrin

katzg · 03/06/2006 07:28

tribpot · 03/06/2006 18:42

Happy anniversary for tomorrow, tea! My top tip for avoiding birth and anniversaries coinciding is to get married when 2 months pregnant! Grin

tribpot · 03/06/2006 19:36

Incidentally, ds had a letter yesterday telling him he would soon be invited to have his MMR and if he had any concerns he should contact his health visitor. Did I miss the part where our 1-year-olds are meant to be up to making phone calls and discussing health choices?!

sfxmum · 03/06/2006 21:33

hello all
had quiet day yesterday, instead of going to town we just went for a walk by the river, see ducks, to the playground where dd pushed a big kid out of her way, firmly removing his hads from the steering wheel she wanted to useGrin oh dear!

weather today much better, glorious sunshine for our picnic. guests were late courtesy of London transport endless engineering works, but we had a great time dd excited as ever to see all the ducks swans and the geese. also entertained to exhaustion by teenage cousins.

oh yesBlushthis morning dd's first swear wordBlushi was holding her and walked to dh to comment on something and started with shite - cue dd very clearly SHITEShockBlushwe unfortunately burst out laughing. clearly our parenting skills need some honingBlush

congratulations on anniversary celebrations
