2Happy, will add you in. The stats page is just an Excel spreadsheet that I save as a webpage and then I store it in my web area from NTLWorld. Quite happy to host one for the January 07-ists as well!

A massive hurrah to my lovely next-door-neighbour! She came round this morning to ask if I wanted the lawn mowing. It is an absolute disgrace out there, and has been really stressing me out because I just haven't got the time or energy to do anything about it on top of anything else. Anyway, it took her absolutely ages and necessitated fetching the heavy duty petrol mower but it looks fantastic and ds celebrated by crawling about on it getting his sleep suit filthy.

Btw, GP has been freaking me out saying he thinks ds may be anaemic as he is a pale creature (due to the fact it has rained every day for the last six months, possibly?) and told me I have to try harder at getting him on to solid foods - he still eats very little. I'm sure it's the fact he has no teeth yet, but still a bit worried :(

katzg · 30/05/2006 16:06

trib - my dd2 is very pale, if he is aneamic one place to check, it if you can is the insides of the eye, cn you gently roll the lower eye bit down, if its nice and pink inside don't worry.

bresha · 30/05/2006 17:32

The most awful thing happened to day, my sis came over to take my dd1 who is 4 to see the horses, half an hour later a get a phone call from her saying that every thing is ok and not to worry BUT some one drove in to the back of them and they have taken dd to A&E, I phoned dp who works round the corner from the hospital and he when strait there. but coz he’s got the car and we live an hours drive from the hospital, I just sat here and waited in tears, but she’s ok, she just had a bit of sock and a nose bleed, im just waiting for the doc to let her home now

tribpot · 30/05/2006 17:40

Oh bresha you poor thing, you must be desperate to see her. Hope she is soon home and safely tucked up.

muma3 · 30/05/2006 18:14

ha ha Grin not hit him yet . he said to me on phone earlier that when he gets home he will get cracking with some things that need doing . he has just asked me if i will be helping him. omg he is so rude . i havent stopped all day . i swear i will be taking my superwoman badge off soon and see how he likes it . we have this party saturday for dd3 b day and moving in and tbh its his family we are trying to impress . i really couldnt care anymore what they think as im not running my self out just because he wont help me get ready in time.

he has brought the laminate flooring today but we dont have a circular sw and he cant do it . he refuses to pay £200 for someone else to fit it even though he cant ffs Angry

dd3 still isnt walking yet and your right whoever said that people seem to be obsessed about it . she is so sweet though and is chatting really well can say loads of things now. her lastest is "got" . due to us forever asking her "what ya got?" very quite kid if i do say so myself . Wink

not preggers , not dissappointed Smile im not one to obsess and it will happen when the time is right (or when i have energy for sex Grin)

better go dp is putting up toilet roll holder which means the world stops and the baby is left

hope everyone well

love me xxxxxxx

muma3 · 30/05/2006 18:15

bresha soory to hear about your dd glad she is ok and hope you get to hold her and give her a hug soon xx

muma3 · 30/05/2006 18:16

"quite kid " ??????

Blush

sfxmum · 30/05/2006 20:06

how to motivate your staff 101
-be on leave when they return thus no handover
-leave letter with to do list mostly marked urgent not forgeting to add all the things said staff failed to do, or did wrong, before leaving on maternity a year ago
-give leave to both deputiesShockAngry
oh and call several times during first two days to ask how you are F* OFF

rant over promise

bresha - hope all is well what an awful shock

trib - but is he letargic? is paleness the only indicator?
i don't think dd eats that much but she is far keener on finger food, just seems one day she got the hang of it regardless of teeth, works better when we eat with her. sure your boy is fine

lua - gorgeous moi? must have missed the joke!Grinmanaged to get dressed and put make up on looked tired and ever so slightly bewildered.
oh strike that gorgeous as ever of course.

about the comments we get oh its a boy! i guess because she has lots of blue clothing

hope you all ok

tribpot · 30/05/2006 20:12

sfx, sounds rubbish. They really have shown their true colours since you actually needed some loyalty from them and not the other way around Angry

No chance of ds being lethargic, he is a mini-tornado. Like lua's ds, an expert in the "point and go ugh" school of expression, highly effective. I think it's possible that some men never develop past this level of communication but I'm hopeful ds will Grin

He has tried to give us another heart attack after the weekend's high temperature; today dh was giving him a bottle (yes GP I have not weaned him in 3 days) and realised there was blood all over the teat ... argh! I THINK it's just part of the joy of teething, but has anyone else had this?

sfxmum · 30/05/2006 20:39

about the blood, yes dd bled slightly just before her first tooth.
her 4th is coming now all just over the last few weeks.
dd shrieks quite loudly too pointing at things she wants. they love her at the grocers too as she acumulates items on her buggy - oh look she really wants that pear oh so cute, cue dh forking outGrin

lua · 30/05/2006 20:59

LOL, trib! I do hope DS do go past the ugh! too!
You know what terrifies me? is that this little guys bad behaviour in the future will be MY fault!

SFX - Sorry Blush! No joke! Thought you were buying new clothes and all?!?! Thought I would point to something perhaps positive to go back to work....

sfxmum · 30/05/2006 21:32

you know lua i bought skirts and kitten heel type shoes and pretty cardies, thought i could do with girly stuff after jeans and trainers and sandals - cant walk in them shoes i tell you and as for skirts...Grin
quite hopeful that the weather will hold for saturday and dd birthday picnic party

lua · 31/05/2006 10:44

LOL sfx! I have an important meeting today where I will be the only woman and all the men will sure be in suits. So I tought I should use something nicer. It turnsout the only suit top I have is 6 years old and still has the tags on!
I'm breaking them in today, and I'm sure I'll have a good old snot mark from DS before I get home today!

katzg · 31/05/2006 10:59

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
boobs hurt

OP posts:
lummox · 31/05/2006 11:22

lua and sfx - expect you guys were already wise to this, but it was bitter experience that taught me to get changed for work at the very. very last moment. weetabix on a dark suit doesn't quiet put across the right image.

katz - hope things ease up. I think things peaked for me about 48 hours after stopping, then got better.

trib - we didn't have blood with teething (that I noticed) but did have a pretty wide range of other unpleasant stuff with the very first tooth. I know not everyone believes in teething but we do! Especially with the first tooth top and bottom. hope they come through quickly.

bresha - hope it wasn't too long before your dd was home - what a nightmare.

muma3 - hope you get some help with the party preparations.

hope everyone else is well.

tribpot · 31/05/2006 11:26

Ha ha lummox, I could have told you that. I have a policy of not putting on work clothes until just before I step out of the door, although ds is not so bad now but when I first went back to work he was still in full-on puker mode, delightful!

Katz, sorry to hear about the boob pain, are you going cold turkey? Can you express just a bit to relieve the pain or will that make them think it's time to produce more? Thanks for the tip about ds's eyes, GP did check them, I think he was just trying to terrorise me because he secretly knows I've been working on the dreaded Choose and Book system.

katzg · 31/05/2006 12:17

yep i have gone cold turkey although she was only having a going to bed feed and a couple in the night, i had to express some off this morning just took a couple of ounces off each side to help them fit in my bra! i though she owuld put up more of a fight last night but she happily excepted the bottle off of me and let DH cuddle her and pat her back when she woke up. i kinda feel a little redundent, i know my head is saying great she doesn't mind but my heart is saying hang on a minute!

OP posts:
2Happy · 01/06/2006 04:43

Trib - thanks, hun. I'm afraid it's all greek to me, but I'll run it past the Jan 07's Grin
Katz - ow, ow, ow! How are you feeling emotionally - every time I drop a feed I get a weird PMT-like low Sad, I hope the norks are less sore today
Bresha - Shock hopd dd's ok
muma3 - I think, embarassingly, ds's first word (other than daddy) is "milk". Every time we're eating food, he says "milk" to try and get the food off us, because he associates "milk" with him being fed (that and I used to say it over and over when I was trying to teach him the sign for milk) Blush
sfx - sorry work sounds so rubbish
Right. I'm off to read more of my book. I hate pregnancy insomnia Angry

sfxmum · 01/06/2006 20:01

hello allSmile

katz - hope you less sore now. i did drop the mid day feed and like 2happy said i got a tad pmtish, those pesky hormones

2happy - oh the tiredness, the sleeplessness the sickness...ah good timesGrindd's sign for milk is arms up open close hands vigorouslyShocki never taught her that one

lummox -yes baby porridgy handprints bless!

mumma3- hope plans for party are going well, don't stress, you know pain was last year this time around you are supposed to enjoy itSmile

lua - tags on clothes after 6yrs i do that kind of thing buy on impulse then back of the wardrobe until one day as if by magic it will become the perfect item!

trib - any more scares? he looks like such a happy strong little boy.

eym - hope you are ok its nice to see family and share the burden for both you and your sister. lovely to have a wedding soon great excuse for treats. my brother in law got engaged can't wait for them to book a date.

very glad to have to have 3 days off now. there were positive things about work, nice to see people i work with.
dd birthday tomorrow we are planning on lunch out and quiet afternoon playing with new toys, nothing fancy.
saturday we will have the picnic with family and friends, the weather looks good for it.
take care all

tribpot · 01/06/2006 21:48

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SFXETTE for tomorrow, and also Teagirl and Muma3's dd3 as well!

Sfx, thanks for the concern. He is a happy (heavy) strong little boy, we just tend to go mental at every health thing because of dh's condition. Most of the time I maintain there is absolutely no evidence ds has inherited anything (last week dh was after convincing himself ds has diabetes, cos dh's dad does) but obv when blood is pouring out of his mouth it's a bit more tricky! (That turned out to be a small cut on his lip, still no teeth here!)

Tonight we have had night 2 in "Trib's bedtime drama" - I finally couldn't take it last night and put him down in his cot awake because he refused to go to sleep (yes, my fellow Junies, this is the first time he has ever been put down awake, in nearly a year). He cried for the obligatory 4 minutes, I cried for the obligatory 14 minutes.

Tonight we thought we should capitalise on last night's efforts and put him down again awake, cue screaming for barely 30 seconds. Thought we'd cracked it until we realised it was because he was puking all over the place, who knows why. Top tip for going to Tesco with baby vomit all over you: put a raincoat on, no-one will know. Anyway, round two of tonight resulted in success, 30 seconds of crying and zonko.

2Happy - I think the kind of stats you want at this stage are more to do with who everyone is, age and what kids they already possess. We just had a separate thread for that kind of info (\link{http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk?topicid=2290&threadid=54806&stamp=050412201318\here's our Junie stats thread}, nostalgia-watchers!)

muma3 · 02/06/2006 00:57

sfxmum · 02/06/2006 07:57

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO

mumma3 dd3 & tea dd - have a lovely time!

trib - dd is forever falling over in her endless quest to grab stuff, anything will do, so she has had a few cuts in her lip (but no scars) and a quite a selection of bruises. good luck with bedtime ita easier at this age anyway.

take care all off to celebrate

lummox · 02/06/2006 08:06

happy birthday to little tea, little sfx and little muma3. hope you all have fantastic days.

and congrats to trib (and triblet) - sounds like you may have cracked the sleep thing.

2happy - pregnancy insomnia yay. that fantastically pointless three hours that you lie awake with your heart-thumping, fretting about completely pointless things. when i was preg with ds i had to get up in the middle of the night to check an A to Z to find out the name of a road that was bugging me.

katz - hope things are less uncomfortable.

teabelly · 02/06/2006 08:33

Morning ladies Smile

just a quickie to say...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR MINI MAMA, SFXETTE AND TEAGIRL HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU Grin

...and HAPPY BIRTHDAY Baby Bresha for yesterday, hope you had a fab day Smile

lummox · 02/06/2006 08:38

oops - missed baby bresha's brithday yesterday (the perils of looking at an out of date stats page). Hope you had a lovely day.

The sun is finally out here. Hope things are brightening up in the UK as well.
