It went well, no signs I left it too late.
Tough old op though, worse Ive ever felt with a general.
I was cold when I woke up and was shaking for ages.
Very sick too and sleepy but as it was a day ward only had a narrow trolley bed so couldn't sleep well.
Dh was with me the whole time tho which was very reassuring.
Slept ok last night not too much pain.
I just need a good fart now. They blow you up to do the keyhole surgery and its not come out yet

Glad all went well ledkr. I remember dp saying that about needing to fart after his keyhole surgery a couple of years ago!

I have my appointment at the breast clinic tomo afternoon, I got the letter yesterday so it's a bit of a surprise. I'm a bit scared now! More about the prospect of having my boob poked and prodded tbh

Poor boob!
Don't forget they prod millions of boobs everyday.
In just used to it now, just flop em out.
I'm feeling slightly better after some farts but dear god it's been a rough couple of days.
Im scared my menopause symptoms will come flying in Before I start my hrt!
Dilly is snuggled up in bed with me watching crap on Netflix, it's lovely (although I was on series 3 of breaking bad which was annoying)

I have managed to keep A without a nap until now and it's bath time in a minute, woohoo! She was so tired after swimming she slid off the sofa earlier, I revived her with some haribo

Ponyo, I was so scared before my boob appointment. Honestly it was nothing, a wee bit embarrassing getting the old boobs out but more dignified than child birth! I hope it goes well, let us know what happens. Will be thinking of you.

Not much happening in blizy towers, af hot me on Hogmanay so I spent it hiding under my duvet in bed. I'm off to bed now, work tomorrow boooo!

All went well, boobs are just a bit lumpy Not too much prodding and poking too thankfully, I had a check then ultra sound scan so pretty painless dr could see the lumps but they're nothing to worry about.

Blizy hope work was ok. I was back today too, well this morning, shattered now!

Fab news Ponyo! Work was ok, think the kids were just as tired as me so a quiet day was had by all. Off to bed super early tonight.

Well, we've been the house of lurgy since NYE - just the grown ups - the kids have broken us . We've coughs & bad chests & sore throats but think we may have got over the worst of it just in time for the girls going back to school tomorrow

My parents are taking Sofia & Olivia to Euro Disney at the end of February (Im still having a little snigger at the thought of my Dad in Euro Disney) so Christmas is a distant memory & the girls are already counting down

Ponyo - great news! As wiggles said, it's still stressful even when you're certain it's nothing.

ledkr - hope you're taking it easy. How long are you off work?

wiggles - hope the girls have fun at Disney. L asks daily, "Is it Christmas?" We ease his disappointment by reminding him it's his birthday soon.

I'm really wanting to join a gym but I'm struggling to actually do it. It's difficult for me to diverge from my normal routine - someone give me a kick up the arse to just do it please!

. Just do it! You'll feel so much better afterwards even if you reallyyyyyyyyy can't be bothered.

American go for it. I joined the gym last August as I kept injuring myself running and am loving it. I think you need a goal to aim for to keep yourself motivated but I've really enjoyed it so far.
All ok here at our house. Ben had speech therapy assessment today as struggles to say some sounds but the therapist wasn't overly concerned. She's going to send us some exercises to do with him and they will visit hi at school in year 2. Noah has just moved to Preschool at nursery, my baby is now a big boy, and he starts his new preschool on Friday where he'll go every Friday morning. And yes I will get Friday mornings to myself to go running and do the shopping in peace!!
Wiggles, I'm so jealous of your girls going to eurodisney. I love it there!!

flustered - I've been thinking about you too, seems like you've hit a rough patch. xx

Don't know if I can be short and sweet with this.
So I'm still pregnant. After many meetings with consultants I was given the all clear to continue but due to pressure from P (not dp at the moment) I booked a termination for last Thursday. It was the hardest week of my life. I felt I had no choice left available as he was putting so much pressure on me. At the 1st consultation appointment I was told there was a chance they wouldn't do the procedure due to unstable asthma and cervical scarring. I wasn't aloud the GA procedure or the tablet method due to my asthma so I was booked for a local anesthetic d&c. Which in itself was going to be harrowing. I went to the appointment Thursday on my own as he wouldn't drive up from Bristol to Birmingham to be with me and his words to me were " I supported you through everything the last 8 months, this is what I want why can't you suppport that" needless to say I was a complete mess. Well I got to the clinic at which point the doctor had to examine my cervix and I was told there was no way he was going to risk the procedure as my cervix still has so much scar tissue that even with a local it would be very painful which could trigger an asthma attack. He is now refusing to talk to me and any message I get is very blunt and cold. I'm being treated like this is my fault and coping with it all on my own. I don't know where I stand. He says he needs space and time to deal with this and come to a decision whether he stays or walks away. I never dreamt I would ever be in this situation or that he would be like this. Its looking like I'm going to end up a single mom to 3 and I don't know how I'm going to cope. My heart is breaking as I've lost my best friend and my baby has lost a father before even being given the chance and I feel like its all my fault. I'm sorry I don't really have people in rl that know the whole story.

Flustered First of all THIS IS NOT YOUR FAULT! You are not to blame and you are doing the best you can. The fact your P is not coping very well is his issue and not yours, and it's just grrrr on your behalf he's not helping you out when you really really could do with his support. Maybe it's better you found this out sooner rather than later, although I would never wish these circumstances on anyone and it's not what you need to find out these things. So where do things go from here? Are you going to/do they think you can see how the pg goes, or do they have to rebook something? Have you managed to get counselling to help you yet about this? I really really feel for you and just have no idea what to say, but I'm sure someone will be on with more helpful points. We are all here to listen to you though if you just need to chat it out. xx
