All going really well, touch wood, in general. Uni is great, i feel like i'm learning loads and have made some good friends. Have been enjoying the christmas break so far, its going so fast and still have lots to do. Hosting the dreaded inlaws for christmas lunch which i am really apprehensive about. Never understood all the stress about xmas day before as i've never had to spend it with people looking for faults or things to complain about, until now that is! Will be very odd. ledkr i had to smile when i saw your thread about not cleaning for xmas, because they are coming i have already had the oven cleaned and hired a rug doctor machine thing to freshen up the carpets, i am pretty clean and like things to look nice but they are immaculate dirtphobes (bastards!)

Hello all, agh have had a stressful morning a am having a cuppa in sainsburys cafe. Some numpty blocked me in on my drive this morning, and had locked his keys in his van so couldn't move it I was stressing as I had to get A to nursery, then back bcos we had a man coming to clean out oven then I had a docs appt. luckily oven man came and used to be a taxi driver so got my car off the drive (!) i know I would have scraped it if I'd tried haha. So managed to get A to nursery and to this docs on time, phew. Idiot who blocked me in had buggered off some where and no one was answering the door to his house, but I could hear kids in there!

Anyway, have been to docs as I have a lump in my boob and been referred to breast clinic. I'm not too worried but does anyone know what to expect when my appointment comes through? It should only take a month which isn't too long.

Mizk good luck with in laws! You're brave ours have invited themselves over for nye, it's actually alright though I'm not complaining

Reastie and American mfp is baffling me, I can't nosy at what you've eaten for the day! Can you only do that on computer and not on the app?

God Ponyo you could be doing without that this morning. Mr W is ace at manoeuvring cars because of his job & all his advanced driving nonsense. I don't know about the breast clinic. I know my mum has Bern referred a few times with lumps (we have a very clear family inherited genetic gene whatyamacallit). I think for her initial appointment, an ultrasound was done - it was fatty deposits. Blizy had an appt a while back as well which was ok.

Well the snow didn't last long, it got rained away . Just as well I've to negotiate the Christmas shoppers & bombscares ffs tomorrow morning & head into big town. Sort of thought I'd more done than I had. Kids are all done but just awkward bits & pieces pain in the arse sil

Were having our own mini christmas party at the moment as Bens been poorly since Weds so missed his school party. Christmas music will be on soon after 'just one more Peppa Pig'!!!

Ponyo I think I have my preferences on MFP so you can't see my food diary. Honestly, I'm a bit ashamed of the junk I regularly eat, I have a weird diet. The amount of chocolate that has been consumed this week is not good, I'll be lucky if I stay close to maintaing my weight over Christmas . It's my birthday tomorrow which means cake and calories from cake on your birthday doesn't count you know . I can't wait for your nativity and Anya refusing to sing the song! You will have to fill us in. They can be very stubborn when they don't want to do something.... Hope your apt goes OK, I have no knowledge or advice to offer, sorry.

Ems yes please buy my misletoe! We have so far the grand total of £1. That's a whole....1 person who has bought some. I was ridiculously excited to find the £1 in the tin . Might be a last minute rush on though, you never know . Hope Ben is better soon.

mizk good luck with PIL (hope you won't need it though!). My problem is when I do a huge clean within a couple of days it looks like I've done nothing . I think you should do your normal thing and they adapt to you, not the other way around.

It's my birthday tomorrow . I've instructed DH to take Alice in the morning when she wakes up as I will be lying in bed with a big mug of tea and watching a DVD in a leisurely fashion and get up when I feel like it :) Knowing me I'll end out waking up at 5am though (which I've been doing all week .

Ah relief the nativity is over and A was good it was very cute and must have taken a lot of work and organising by nursery! they all did really well. Then they went in a santa's grotto to meet the man himself which was very lovely! Anya told Santa she wanted a dolly, he gave her present which was very obviously a book, and she was upset when she opened it as she thought it would be a dolly I am feeling quite smug at the moment though because I asked her what dolly she wants and thank god! it's the one I've got her (horrible hairdressing dolls head). Just hope she remembers that til Xmas!

Reastie I've eaten crap today too. Maybe I'll only fill in mfp on good days haha. I get annoyed when I don't know exact measurements and calories for things. Have a fab day tomorrow!

I should really take L to see Santa this weekend but I don't know if I can be bothered. We're supposed to get another 6-ish inches of snow Saturday night and it makes me want to hibernate.

I spent 4 hours shopping yesterday & none of it for me but I'm all done including groceries. If I haven't got it in, we're not having it! Bear in mind that I'm not doing any cooking (quelle surprise) over Christmas. We're going to my Mums on Christmas Day.

Although this afternoon is my annual women of my family Christmas get together. Wine & beer are on fridge - that's my Nana sorted out only half joking. It's party food a gogo!. Mr W has the foresight to be working

ponyo I have a lump on my boob. My hospital referral took around 2 weeks. I sat on the bed thing and the DR felt the lump and all around both breasts. She knew by just touch that it wasn't anything to worry about. I had a follow up appointment 4 weeks later just to be sure. If she wasn't sure the next step would have been an ultrasound scan and a needle biopsy. I know it's useless me saying this, but please, please try not to worry. If you need a chat you know where to find me.

Thanks for asking about me and Zoe reastie. I am actually quite looking forward to Christmas this year, we are going to have dinner at my parents house.

Today wasn't so good, I had to go to an uncles funeral in the same crematorium as Z's. I was a snotty blubbering mess, all I could picture was her little pink coffin laid on the plinth. I am now feeling very emotionally raw. A think a Chinese and an early night is on order.

Ponyo, as you know im the resident boob expert and you should be seen within 2 weeks not a month.
They will have a feel,do an ultrasound and possibly take a needle biopsy which isnt as bad as it sounds.
wiggs I didnt know about your history. Im off to the pre op clinic today in prep for my ovary removal cos of my braca2 gene. I feel positive and okay about it.and i get to finish work early.
Its our anniversary tomorrow so we are really organised so we can enjoy the day, Santa,lunch then xmas film before church with gilrs then the pub, I am well excited.
Ella has finished one show and is having a break before the other on in JAN. She loves it and we are looking forward to taking Dills and her friends for her birthday treat.
Dilly is mental and also did a show, she made damn sure she was at the front and did her own "moves"rather than the ones she had been taught. Audience in hysterics.
blizy Im glad you feel able to enjoy xmas but imagine its still very bitter sweet for you both.

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas. L loved his train set and was a bit meh about everything else (except the chocolate in his stocking). I got DH a new toaster and he got me a rice cooker - so romantic. Most of you saw L's photo with Santa on FB (I can post it to my profile if others want to see it) - he was desperate to see Santa and wanted to sit on his lap but then refused to make eye contact or talk to him.

Boxing Day isn't a holiday so I'm back at work today but it's very very quiet.

Everything so far so good here. Alice loved all her toys. Biggest hits were the musical bath toys, finger lights and little umbrella. Funny how they love the odd weird little things!

How did everyone who was cooking do? We went over to DMs yesterday but I did a big lunch for the ILs today. I fear I did far too much food. We have my family coming over for leftovers tomorrow but we have a big gingerbread house, gingerbread sleigh, orange cake, meringue roulade, almond and mincemeat tart AND mincemeat cake, all of which needs using up soon as they've already been frozen. I've told my family to arrive very hungry

Reastie, no cooking for me. At il's yesterday and mil always does a fab roast anyway so Xmas dinner was fabulous!!! We've had a fab Xmas, lots of presents for the boys and too much food for me!! My diss and mum etc were here today and as usual we had too much food. Ben and I are slowly making our way thru the leftover choc fudge cake - such a hardship. Tho I did go for a 3.5 mile run this morning so don't feel overly guilty!!

Hi all,hope everybody has had lovely Christmases? Ours has been mainly blissful, have eaten my own weight in cheese, smoked salmon and roses and am not regretting a bite! Children have been very lucky and been given loads of lovely things, Cassia's fave is a little game where you match cupcakes which we have played at least 100 times. However,enraged by losing, she did fling the entire thing into the bin earlier (was tempted to leave it in there!)
No time for personals as Madame is at my makeup, just wanted today hello to blizy' couldn't shake sadness at your post about going to the funeral! heartbreaking. You are a tough cookie and I admire you so much xxx hope you're alright as can be expected xxx

Hi all.
On way back from pil now.
It was fairly boring as dh went to visit his grandad with fil so I was left with mil and kids for FOUR hrs.
FOUR. No tv, felt too rude to play on iPad so just made idle boring chit chat for hours.
I felt a bit cheated cos I do like the Xmas hols after I've hosted two xmas days I like to sit in my pjs eating too much and drinking wine at unsuitable hours.
Couldn't say much as grandad very ill so it needed to be done.
Journey is too long for dds tho, we are a few mins away now woop woop
