Oooh a new thread - thanks PC Smile

pooka · 06/04/2006 07:20

Well done PC.
Well - thread title didn't work last night :(
Tom woke at 4am and came into bed with us. There was no way he'd settle without being fed, so... Hopefully a blip rather than a trend!

milward · 06/04/2006 11:51

love the title pc!

here ds4 slept last night!!!! but ds3 was sick -ahhhhh

she threw up yesterday in the house & then in the car (had to collect dd1 & dd2). Loads to clean up & wash. Busy day ahead...........

best wishes to all xxx

milward · 06/04/2006 11:59

dd3 fast asleep in front of tv!!!! will have a coffee....

PiccadillyCircus · 06/04/2006 14:20

Title hasn't worked yet - but I live in hope Smile.

Cauliflower cheese was enjoyed by all for lunch (1st time DS, Alice and I have all had the same food at the same time, although hers did get whizzed a bit).

Might get her weighed this afternoon.

Hope DD3 feels better soon milward.

Hello!

Can't believe there is still so much easter holiday left! I've got another cold and ds is driving me mad! Oh well not long until his bed time!! All slept ok last night but still feel urk!

PiccadillyCircus · 07/04/2006 08:45

Good night's sleep had here.........................................................................Oh look there is a pig flying past my window Grin.

Another of DS's friends has now become a big sibling - that's the 5th since June (with more due in May and June). Alice is looking rather big as she is the second oldest Smile.

OP posts:
pooka · 07/04/2006 09:45

tom's also the second eldest of a rash of second babies PC. The eldest is nearly 1, then Tom, then another boy 6 weeks younger, then another boy 6 weeks younger, then another boy born 10 days ago. No girls! And all of dd's friends (bar 2 out of 10) are girls. So we doy girl/boy combos in my crowd!

PiccadillyCircus · 07/04/2006 10:02

Ours have nearly all been both sexes in the pairs

DS, DD (June 30 2005)
DS, DD (Alice)
DS, DS (February 5 2006)
DS, DD (March 8 2006)
DD, DS (April 5 2006)

So the latest one is the only big sister so far (but the two to come will also become big sisters)

OP posts:
beatie · 07/04/2006 12:15

That's interesting. I know mostly same sex siblings. Alice is the youngest. Here's how ours goes.

DD,DD
DS,DS
DS,DD
DS,DS
DS,DS
DD,DD (Alice)

If I'd been able to have a second baby when I wanted a second baby, we'd have been third in that line-up. It took me along time to get over the bitterness I felt in not having a successful pregnancy when all around me, my mummy friends were getting pregnant with their second with ease. But now that dear sweet Alice is here, I love that I have the youngest baby, and I love that I'll get her at home with me for an extra year whilst all the other second babies are in school :)

PiccadillyCircus · 07/04/2006 13:29

There are 9 of us with children born within 6 months of each other (September 03 to March 04) and there are 7 of us who are either pregnant or who have another child. And one of the ones not pregnant is ttc. (The other one has NO urge for a second child Grin)

Everyone keeps saying I'll have a third child first. I am not intending this to happen [smile
])

OP posts:
beatie · 07/04/2006 13:56

Are you stopping at two?

PiccadillyCircus · 07/04/2006 14:02

Not sure. DH would like 3. I think I would just like 2.

If there is a third it's not going to be for a few years. Smile.

OP posts:
pooka · 07/04/2006 14:16

We'd like a third. Originally had thought that would wait until Tom maybe 4 or 5. But have realised the length of time I'd be a SAHM if we did that, and am broody, so think may try and have a similar age gap(2.2 years) between Tom and No. 3
DD's post-natal group was like this:
DD DS (April 05)
DD TTC
DD TTC
DD DS (Sept o5)
DD DS (Oct 05)
DD TTC soon
DS DS (Dec 05)
DS DS (March 06
DD DS (OVerdue!)
So no dd's this round - yet!

pooka · 07/04/2006 14:17

I'm shocked at how much I feel that I haven't finished child-bearing yet. To the extent that I worry that after No. 3, I'll still feel the need for more (dh more worried about this than me, if truth be told).

Simplyred · 07/04/2006 18:18

Hello!

Two is plenty for me.

Take care - better go Rachel is angry!

milward · 07/04/2006 20:22

Thanks pc & sr xxx best wishes to all as well. I always read up on what's happening on our thread.

dd3 is better now thankfully - cleaned the sick away using soda bicarb - got help from mumsnet of course!! - worked a treat!

school hols - ahhhhhh - do love the hols but need to be brave beforehand & during!!

Off to watch tv - must watch more as I only see the apprentice...any recommendations?

best wishes to all xxx

PiccadillyCircus · 07/04/2006 22:25

DD broke up yesterday two weeks of hell now started.

I am going to be an aunty in November. Dear sis doesn't want anyone to know but it is sort of becoming an open secret iyswim. And I can't keep it to myself much longer so am sharing with my cyber buddies.

David has discovered that he can take his socks off and drop them in the most inconvenient places. He has rolled over twice but not much more. As he is approx 24lb though I m not supprised he doesn't feel like trying to move much!!!!

milward · 08/04/2006 10:17

mummyhill - lovely news. Congrats on your going to be an Aunty xxx My ds chews his babygro feet & they get all soggy!!

pc - hope you got some sleep! dh was up with ds4 so I could sleep. Feel really tired today ! think the lack of sleep is catching up on me. HAve lots to do today as well - some shopping & general running around.

love to all xxx

PiccadillyCircus · 08/04/2006 13:28

Congratulations mummyhill (and to your sister as well Smile).

As DH and I are both the oldest children in our families, we probably have a little wait to become and aunt and uncle. Feels a bit unfair that DH's sister became an aunt when she was 12 Grin.

Lovely and sunny here today - I am mostly pottering around although it is nice to have DH around too. He and DS are watching Thomas the Tank Engine - not sure which of them will fall asleep first Grin.

Alice is also slumbering. Last night a bit better ie only 2am and 6am.

wabbitintheheadlamps · 08/04/2006 14:36

Mummyhill - as soon as you're able, congratulate L for me, she'll make a lovely mummy xxx Hope things are ok with you - it's been quite mad here and events have resulted in my ditching the awful arrogant, cheating liar of a man - and I'm beginning to feel much better for it!

Yesterday I was very upset thinking I might have made the worst decision of my life - horrid doubts creeping in, but today I've got a floaty feeling of liberty... very pleasant! A bit like that feeling when you first meet someone and start falling in love.

Love to everyone - hope babies are happy xxx

milward · 08/04/2006 17:03

Gosh wabbit - hope you're ok - be kind to yourself xxx

Simplyred · 09/04/2006 18:45

Hello!

Congratulations AuntieHill & best wishes Wabbitt - thinking of you xxx
