WOW Wabbitt. Bet he has a lovely accent and who knows, you could end up in Scotland after all Wink. Fantastic - you must be full of the joys of spring :)

mummyhill · 20/04/2006 15:57

So much for keeping quiet for a bit wabbit you will have to tell me more when we meet up.

Just had a lovely lunch and window shop with my sister.

Simplyred · 20/04/2006 17:19

Wow Wabbitt! There is something very sexy about a Scottish man!! Wink

Yes will probably use public transport to Kew. Any dates but 7th, or 28th July (was it the 28th?) as these dates were significant last year Sad

wabbitintheheadlamps · 20/04/2006 18:34

Oh yes his voice - and what he has to say, a real egalitarian.
And he has a croft in the Western Isles... in need of renovation... And he's writing a novel... And he can get us cheep tickets to see the RSC...

And most of all, he thinks I'm wonderful!

SR - I'll make a note of those dates xxx

(what was that? did I hear someone shout 'pass us a bucket'?!? Grin)

PiccadillyCircus · 20/04/2006 18:50

It was the 21st that was the day that nearly had bombing Sad.

Hello to all xxx

Wabbit - lovely news - enjoy!

Sorry to not be able to be at the meet-up - would love to be there xxx

Sleep here - not that much! but feel better for having dh at home & having a break :) ds4 is eating really well & also likes just plain bread crusts to chew on!! or porridge. Today he had broccoli for the first time & he eat it all up!

mummyhill · 20/04/2006 23:11

Now feeling replete after stuffing myself with a large plate of roast chicken, sage & onion seasoning (stuffing), mash, brocoli, carrots, cabbage and mange tout with lashings of gravy. Not exactly impressed at just finishing diner at 11pm but at least we got to eat a hot meal in peace!!!!!!!!!!

wabbitintheheadlamps · 21/04/2006 12:54

Hello everyone! Smile

All quiet here, Noop at my sister's until later today... C in bed... I'm filling in forms and doing financial stuff (urgh, worst job ever when there's just not enough funds to stretch the distance!)

DNM walking on beach in Aberdeen as I type... lucky lucky man Envy

Hope you're all having a good day xxx

wabbitintheheadlamps · 21/04/2006 12:55

Lovely word Mummyhill - replete

Smile
beatie · 21/04/2006 14:05

Hi everyone. I'll watch with interest over what you decide for a Southern meet-up. Alice needs to meet her twin Alice and hopefully littleman C too.... all being born the same day :) And hopefully as many others as possible. I'm free the first 3 weeks of July so hopefully will be able to make it... but have to confess that I will worry sick (irrationally) about taking children into London and would prefer a meet-up I could drive to, somewhere outside of M25 Grin but don't arrange it around me. I could be persuaded to go with the majority vote.

Wonderful news Wabbit :)

Rhumba · 21/04/2006 14:26

feels hungry after talks of a roast Mummyhill - not guesses what D is having for lunch today. Must admit I've not quite got the hang of feeding everyone at once, partly cos I'm still intiroducing certain foods slowly and also cos invariably I'll sling a stock cube/ tin of sauce/ few glasses of wine in it and then can't give it to G.

She had her first swimming lesson today and seemed to enjoy it. She was a bit peckish when we got back and has been asleep for the last couple of hours.

Can understand not wanting to go into central London if nothing else it's impossible going anywhere by tube with a buggy.(althought almost worth the giggle when you see everyones look of terror that you're going to ask for help up the stairs. Never seen a platform clear so quickly!

Nikkinoo · 21/04/2006 17:10

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah wabbit....sweet, my dd can clap her hands she is a bright one methinks, have shorty e mailed u wabbit full juicy one later

hope all babies are lovely and mummies happy x

irishmum · 21/04/2006 21:22

Sorry, this question is NOT sleep related, but am a bit concerned as my lo (7mths on 17th April) still doesn't roll over or sit up.HV says not to worry,DOES clap and say da da etc...
Appreciate any advise...

Nikkinoo · 21/04/2006 21:29

Hi irishmum charlotte doesnt roll over but she does sit up. i really wouldnt worry about it, I would start getting advice at about nine months old re. the rolling. My eldest daughter never really rolled she just crawled quite late about 10 months where as my son rolled at about 4 months and walked at 10 months.

As the saying goes they are all differentSmile

irishmum · 21/04/2006 21:32

Cheers nikkinoo,
Blush can't quite remember what age my other two rolled etc...

Thank god they're all different,I would've stopped at 1!!!

Nikkinoo · 21/04/2006 21:57

Do you find it hard having 3 children irishmum?

wabbitintheheadlamps · 22/04/2006 07:37

Hi Irishmum - supporting what Nikkinoo's already said, I know an eight month old LO who's not yet rolling (well he's managed it only twice) not sitting and doesn't bear weight on his legs... he's otherwise seemingly very bright and normal and the health visitor is willing to give him an extra month to continue to develop.

Having said this...

I think it's important to listen to your own instincts though and if you are sensing alarm bells there is nothing amiss in taking your little one to your GP and airing your concerns... do whatever you need to do for peace of mind Smile

Morning to everyone btw xxx

pooka · 22/04/2006 07:43

Well done mummyhill for getting the top tip on the home page! I try and try to think of something useful to suggest, but can never come up with a good'un.
It's amazing how different all the babies are in terms of what they can do. Tom nowhere near clapping, but crawled forwards a foot yesterday (then while I was taking dd to the loo crawled backwards 6 feet under the window seat which has a pelmet, so was lost for a second Shock). Dd was much more "communicative" i.e. smiled/laughed/clapped earlier but was much less mobile at the same age.

irishmum · 22/04/2006 10:54

Nikkinoo-I just have to be really organised!!and I'm so naturally disorganised it's hard!My oldest is ds 7yrs,have found I enjoy and have much more patience with the younger 2 than I did with him, can't decide if it's age or circumstance....
Shock
Wabbit-I think there is a 7month assesment with HV?if so,I'll mention it then,thanks.
