A top tip mummyhill !! - it's a good cream but difficult to remove from furnishings.

This afternoon I'm going to attempt to tidy up & sort out house chaos!!!!!

ds4 can roll from tum to front & almost roll from back to tum. He can sit up if I hold otherwise he chews his toes!!!

love to all xxx

wabbitintheheadlamps · 22/04/2006 13:56

Oooooooh Look at You Mummyhill!!!! Top tipping like a pro! Must be a bit of a buzz when you see you've pipped everyone to the post Smile

PiccadillyCircus · 22/04/2006 18:48

I have had my hair cut short. I am still feeling a bit Shock but I like it Smile.

And got my ears pierced. Had had them done before but haven't worn earrings for so long they had sealed up.

Alice now thinks it would be fun to get up for the day BEFORE 6am! :( No-one ever tells you about that part of being a parent. I dislike early morning starts.

mummyhill · 23/04/2006 10:11

First tip sent in and straight to the front page good grief widen the doors my head is swelling Grin

Ohh darn kids kicking off world war three again post more later!!

Nikkinoo · 23/04/2006 12:38

Morning mums and babies

hope everyone is well, its quite a dreary morning in kettering today.

Irsihmum lots of organisation and a sizeable amount of bribery here! My son is 6 and he has really matured with the birth of his baby sister, it is really pleasing, my dd2 regressed abit a few weeks ago and was going everywhere with a babyborn dummie stuck in her mouth..none of them have ever had dummies aswell!

have a good day everyone

pooka · 23/04/2006 13:27

tom always wakes up at about 5.15am. Is hard, but since sleeps from7.30pm, can at least get good sleep in by going to bed earlier. With dd she woke constantly during the night so I feel spoilt in comparison. Once awake at 5.15, I feed and more often than not he'll doze in bed for another hour.
At least means he has a good nap at 8.30 ish, so can dress dd and sort out things for the day then.

wabbitintheheadlamps · 23/04/2006 18:49

Ohhhhh Sleep! is that what you're supposed to do between the hours of 12 and 6am Grin

Still happy and rather intoxicated here...

C's now able to climb down things. His bouncy chair to the floor, my lap to the floor... he is also drawing his knees underneath him when he's on his tummy. It's not going to be long before we've got mobile tiddlers!

Nikkinoo - did you get my mail?

PiccadillyCircus · 23/04/2006 21:38

Alice has also been into 6am starts. Hope this does not continue Smile.

Sleep whats that???????????

D isn't trying to crawl or roll much yet but loves to feel his feet. Naughty mummy put him in the baby walker and he zoomed round the living room backwards though.

PiccadillyCircus · 23/04/2006 22:34

Sleep.......suppose I should go and get some (before I am woken up by my small daughter)

beatie · 24/04/2006 08:02

Wabbit - wow to C's movement. My little Alice isn't doing much at all. She's still not a confident sitter and if left with cushions around her, still has a tendency to be found eating the carpet 30 seconds later Grin

She's not rolling either. And she doesn't DO tummy-time! She's pretty contented just sitting (supported) and waving her arms around frantically.

PiccadillyCircus · 24/04/2006 08:32

Good morning everyone Smile.

Alice woke up a lot last night. I have asked her not to do it again Grin.

We don't have movement yet, although she is very good at leaning over to grab things (mainly DS's toys or so it seems). She also isn't keen on being on her tummy; if she falls over that way then she is most cross.

I am finally making the move into re-usable nappies. Need to do a bit more work on DH but I think we'll get there. I really should have done this ages ago ie for DS Blush.

Hi all, glad to hear all the gorgeous baba's are doing so well. Joel is 7 months, just got him weighed and he is 20lbs 3oz! He's eating anything we give him. Just tried him on chicken puree from the Annabel Karmel book and he loves it. He rolls over both ways but not quite sitting by himself. He goes to bed about 7pm and sleeps til about 6am. He also, in the space of 2 weeks, has 4 teeth! He's growing up too quickly. I went back to work 3 weeks ago, I'm doing Wed, Thurs & Fri. It's not bad, its actually quite nice being in adult company all day and being able to drink tea at my desk!
Wabbit - great news!!!

Nikkinoo · 24/04/2006 09:41

Morning everyone

Wabbit hi sweetie yes i got it sent you one back hopefully you have it I think C will be coasting soon!!!!!! Are you ready for it hon Wink

PC I started in reusable and have now gone into disposables Blush My washer aint the best in the world and sometimes I had to put the nappies on about 4 or 5 times as the machine wouldnt spin them properly and i fugured that I was doing more damage to the envitonment than good and the last water bill was a staggering £248.00 which I think had to do with the tots bots. I dont like disposables though.

yes there are not going to many plants left standing when the babies go mobile, my house is relatively baby proof as it is, but the longer C is just sitting up the better! I think beause I have two little ones 6 and 4 and i am going to be telling them to close baby gates all the while and will have to put in another extra pair of eyes in the back of my head!

Have a great day everyone x

Nikkinoo · 24/04/2006 09:42

ych- Gosh you have got a good one there, not jealous about Joel sleeping honest Envy

Rhumba · 24/04/2006 13:40

welcome back ych.

am really in a quandry about returning to work. Am finding hard being at home so much but my job is pretty hard work and won't have much left over after I've paid for childcare. Maybe I need to join a few more groups and try to get out and meet some more mums in the area now that I've got 5 days to fill rather than 2 when I worked. G still not sleeping that brilliently and am just feeeling a bit fed up with it all. She's also a bit of a limpit and I've got a sore back and shoulder from carting her around all the time. Maybe this will improve as she sit better. Having said that she does sleep 12 ghours about 50% of the time and the rest of the tme it's usuallly a quick wake up, feed and then back to sleep til 7ish so I know it could be alot worse (and DS doesn't often have us up in the night)

Winge winge

wabbitintheheadlamps · 24/04/2006 16:01

Oh thanks Nikkinoo - I'll reply later Smile

YCH - joel sounds like a poppet! how lovely to be getting regular sleep... C's sleep has been less reliable since he discovered he's got an appetite... I really have no complaints though, it's my sleeping habits I need to sort out! I'll have to have strong words with myself Grin

Beatie - yes! and what am I going to do when he does get really mobile? My house is FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR from babyproof - bookshelves to the floor and gitars and arty things stored too close to the floor. Oh Help - I need to borrow a crawling tot just to be able to find out exactly what I do need to move! Anyone know a hiring company? Grin

Have to dash to the bank - hope everyone has a good remainder of the day xxx

PiccadillyCircus · 24/04/2006 16:43

Wabbit, you can borrow DS if you like and get a 29 month old's view on your house Smile.

Or you could have Alice and find out how far one little pair of arms can stretch (I've told her she's not allowed to crawl until she's a bigger girl Grin).

Hello!

How is evey one!

Nikkinoo · 25/04/2006 13:04

rhumba it is so hard having a clingy baby c is inconsolable if i leave her. Have booked her into nursery which is on the same farm where I will be working. so she will be v close by. however still dreading it. hugs to you

pooka · 25/04/2006 21:55

When do you go back Nikkinoo? Sounds lovely to be working on a farm - but then I only have fiction to refer to rather than real like :)
Seem to remember dd going through a monster clingy phase at 9 months. Hoping that Tom doesn't follow suit - he was very attached to me and only me at about 5 - 6 months, but seems better recently, partly because he's so busy trying to get on the move that I think he's distracted a bit.
All well here - though Tom and dd both have coughs and colds and dd is rather tetchy and stroppy as a result. She is hysterical at the moment - so funny. She's lovely with Tom - makes him laugh more than anyone else. But as soon as we see my mother or anyone else she wants to impress she competes massively for attention which is fair enough I suppose. So today Tom was crawling and Lucy kept cutting him off crawling herself saying "look at me Granny, look at me!" Tom takes it all in his stride though which is fortunate!

wabbitintheheadlamps · 26/04/2006 00:38

Wow Pooka - Tom's on the move already! C's almost there and very determined in his 'not quite crawling' and can get from a to b far quicker than you'd have thought! He's still a funny little dot - cute and rather lost looking.

Tomorrow, I promise I will set new date for South meetup.... I meant to today but I had the horrid task of freeing a drain and washing down all the gravel that had been soiled by standing filthy drain water (nice) it took ages Sad Ugh - the pong!

mummyhill · 26/04/2006 08:13

Morning all. D is teething with a vengance nappies are vile and he is getting soo sore. Have found two old terry squares and reaquainted myself with kite folding. How much are terry nappies these days and which would be the best to use if I decide to switch for day times at least?

mummyhill · 26/04/2006 08:51

I love my mum!!!!!!

Have just been talking to her and asked if she could lend me the money to get some cloths, liners, rubbers and pins from mothercare to tide me over till I can afford the prefolded ones as MC seem to be quite cheap and she has offered to buy him 12 to be geting on with. Sis should be able to use them with her little one when we finish as well though.
