Pooka she starts in october, when my daughter starts school full time. Its a complex with a farm that children go around looking at the animals and a great nursery, we have a plant nursery/garden centre there and do all our own propogation, so its great in the summer (v. good life) but hideously cold in the winter where there is an electric fire that warms one leg at a time!
While ive been off have been doing the marketing and looking at opening an education centre for school children to learn horti skills,

mummyhill boots do little packs of terrys too I have a packet of nappi nippas (unused) that I can pop in post for you, it saves getting pins

Nikkinoo · 26/04/2006 11:12

MH have sent you an e mailat windyjo address if yous like the nappi nippas sorry about typos!

mummyhill · 26/04/2006 12:08

Thanks Nikki I have just got in from mums and tots, have replied. Time for lunch then rush out to get dd to nursery in time!!!

Beatie & Picadilly - thanks will have a look whilst dd is at nurseriy.

Found a couple of terry's in the back of the airing cupboard and am using muslim liner atm. I am sure my gran gave them to me when I was pg with DD but I never used them with her. Used safety pins this morning till could get out to our local baby shop where I got a pack of nappy pins. Asked her if they stocked liners and got a shocked look cause apparently no one uses cloth nappies anymore wtf am I asking you for liners then love??????? She was quite pleased to hear that it is becomming more common for mums to use them again.

Had to change him at mums and tots and everyone exclaimed over the fact that I am using cloth nappies bless them.

I have only stabbed myself twice so far today!!!!! D seems happy though.

PiccadillyCircus · 26/04/2006 12:10

I also recommend fleece liners - can you spot the reformed resubale nappy user here Grin.

mummyhill · 26/04/2006 17:57

Just been on the nappy lady site and think I will try the fleece liners.

mummyhill · 27/04/2006 08:10

My aunt is a dress maker and has sent me some off cuts to use for collage etc with the parent and toddler group. There are some off cuts of fleece in there would they be ok to use if I wash them well first?

PiccadillyCircus · 27/04/2006 08:38

Yes, they would be fine Smile.

Hi all, long time no talk. Sorry i've abandoned you all lately but i have no internet at home now so it's very rare i get to use a computer now. I haven't even logged on since i last posted so i haven't read up on all your news, i don't have a spare 4 hours. LOL We now have mia in a new nursery, the last 1 was crap and was mistreating her. she started to crawl forward last week, after 2 weeks of crawling backwards. she even pulled herself up on the sofa yesterday. i was so shocked Shock. I found out last week that i'm going to be a auntie for the 10th time, my sister that was minding mia told us last week that she's around 10 weeks so i'm feeling a little bad about having a dig at her for letting me down with childcare Sad
Still feeling a little down and depressed but i won't admit it to my doctor, don't know why really as i know it's nothing to be ashamed of. I started my driving lessons again last week and have another on friday afternoon, so anyone in the nw, BEWARE!!!! i am soooooooo rubbish. Hope everyone and kids and babes are ok, will try and log on more. my dd1 is 7 on saturday. where does the time go?????

Simplyred · 27/04/2006 15:57

Hello Bubbles!!! nice to hear from you.

Feeling down is very very common and your doctor might be able to help - let him/her know! Take care all xxxxx

mummyhill · 27/04/2006 16:42

Hi bubbles. Glad to hear from you again, don't bottle it all up talk to someone in real life about if at all possible otherwise it is a slippery slope you are treading on. Hope things get better soon.

mummyhill · 28/04/2006 12:08

arghh am waiting to see if d ends up with pink nappies forgot to check that machine had been properly emptied and have just noticed something red spinning round in the nappy wash!!!!!!!

mummyhill · 28/04/2006 14:20

WOW it's quiet in here today.

Nikki - Postie has just been I love the nippas they just halved my changing time.

mummyhill · 28/04/2006 16:40

True convert here have read soo much stuff and got really good at this changing lark I now find myself offering advice on a nappy thread even though I have only been doing it for a couple of days.

PiccadillyCircus · 28/04/2006 16:52

Hello Smile. Been having some real life today for a change (although involved a Mumsnet meet-up).

DS just had major meltdown at a friend's house. Very loud.

He has fallen asleep so I am leaving him for a bit.

mummyhill · 28/04/2006 16:58

Looks up from back of class room and timidly asks "what is real life?"

jaamy · 29/04/2006 08:18

HI Everyone!
So Sorry I've been neglecting you. Everything just seems to have gotten on top of me and while I've been reading your posts (mostly in the wee small hours) I've never gotten around to filling you in on what we've been up to!
Glad to hear everyone is ok, if a little sleep deprived.
NLSTM - Shock and Congrats! Hope you are feeling ok and everything stil going great with DF. How's DS getting on?
Wabbit - think we all know what a brave lady you are. Am so glad that you've kicked DXP to the kerb - you really deserve better and looks like you might have found him - enjoy!!!
Bubbles - I second (third or fourth?) what others have said - go and talk to someone before it's too late. I've been there and you'll really feel better, even talking to a complete stranger.
Congrats to all the soon to be aunties.
Congrats to SR for new business - good luck with it all.
Anyone heard of/from Sallie lately?
Commiserations to all who, like me have returned to work - hope you're having a better time than me!
A is now 6.5 months old and such a sweet smiley girl. Rarely makes a fuss which is just as well as J has become a real handful - the green eyed monster has really possessed her!
A isn't crawling, not even rolling much but think that's due to my fear of leaving her on the floor with big sis around. Jabbers away like anything tho and has a really funny little cackling laugh. She's VERY ticklish. Still BF in morning and evening but she;s taken quite well to real food though still at puree stage. I try to puree bits of what we've had (mostly organic) and freeze in batches. Tried to get her weighted last week but when we got to that clinic there were no scales to be found in the whole building...grrrr...as had made an appt and rushe dto get there. A and J both in nursery now mon, tues. Oh how it broke my heart to leave A there on the first day...bad mummy emoticon. But she seems to ahve taken to it quite well and she's one of only 2 babies there at the moment so has lots of attention, which she loves.
Seem to be rushing everywhere at the mo and not a second to myself...weight is dropping off slowly tho I'm eating rubbish and not excercising (when do we get chance?) Are you all 5'1" tall??? I dream of being 10 stone! Well done to all who have lost weight.
Building work starting here on Tues so we're in for a long dusty summer.
Have a lovely long weekeend everyone and I'll try to keep up now.
Take care all x
