blizy Ella is a lot better thanks. I am going to hire a 2 seater sports car to take in our environs Grin and a few bars on the way. It will be an education for Ella when I introduce her to the mediteranean party scene lol.

A drumming circle sound a tad odd i agree,is it like the circle of trust or the magic circle??/ hmm?

UTI is common in girls as the area between bum and urethra is short unlike a boy. Therefore infection can get in easier,as little girls sit in there own shit when in nappies that is probably how they get it. That is my blunt explanation.
You do realise that you could be mn royalty if you casually announce you work for wa dont you?? ponyo

Dh has taken the ginger lunatic to town to get me some presents (good luck with that then) I told him not to waste money on mere trinkets but to take me shopping tomorrow as I need a jacket boots and tops Grin

Hi all

ledkr Grin to you telling DH not to waste money on mere trinkets Grin . Is it your bday coming up or is your DH just exceptionally well trained?

Keep meaning to say and think I've forgotten so far Blush delia says hello - it's that pesky open plan work room making her miss mn Angry

ponyo did you see GP? WHat did they say?

deb cooking for 50 people?! are you mad! I can barely manage dinner most evenings! Also love the naughty nancy description. Btw I'm on half term next week and the week after if you have a free few hours to do something, no pressure though you busy lady Grin

Have bought red, green and gold glitter paint today from sainsbos and am going to try to get Alice to do some 'painting' on blank cards to give DM/PIL as Christmas cards. It's all going to get hideously messy and I'm going to regret this idea aren't I Confused [brave]

Has anyone got any idea what they are doing re: families and inlaws etc for christmas? I'm in a tricky situation. Want to go to parents for christmas lunch, I've never not seen them for christmas lunch and we are a close family, plus this year feels a bit more sensitive as I've lost 3 gps in just over a year, 2 of which we always used to have come for lunch every christmas so it'll be our first christmas with no gps there. My parents have had PIL over for christmas lunch a few times in the past but this year just want us/them (they've never said this before so they must genuinely only want us for lunch) but have said they are happy to have PIL over after lunch in the afternoon. DH rung BIL to see if they could have PIL for lunch and they just said no as it was our turn as they had them last year. So we've left it that we will see PIL and BIL etc on boxing day but also have PIL over on christmas afternoon. But it means PIL will be on their own for christmas lunch. I feel really guilty about it and I know when DM finds out she won't let them be on their own and will end out inviting them over (but not especially want them IYKWIM). FWIW I did offer to cook everyone lunch but parents want quiet lunch at their place. Every year since I've known DH aside from last year we've had PIL over for christmas lunch (one year we visited them at their place but all the others either I've cooked or parents have cooked for them) so it's not like we never have them - we pretty much always have them. Just guess I sort of expected BIL family to have them given the nature of why my family want a quiet christmas. Anyone any advice as to whether we ABU or what we can do to please everyone? I really don't want to spend christmas dashing about everywhere to please everyone else, just want a nice laid back family day.

I hope i'm never someones turn not that I cant see bils point mind you but I like to think I could manage to still enjoy a nice xmas day without being at someones house,id just go to a nice restaurant or something. Light bulb moment. Can you and bil chip in for a nice lunch in a restaurant nearby?

ledkr we would but BILs family I doubt would as they never seem to have any money (or say they don't). Maybe I'll look into us just paying but I'm imagining that would be quite alot to go somewhere nice. I know my DM wouldn't let them be on their own and so we'll prob end out having them but then I feel bad as my family have said specifically they want a quiet lunch with no stress on providing food for guests. I guess whatever there will be someone to feel guilty about! I'll look into the lunch out idea ledkr as I know MIL is a member at a posh gym which is attached to a hotel/restaurant they have raved about before so that would be a good place to book for them.

A drumming circle is hell on earth blizy and ledkr Grin A musician my friend knows runs them - he has about 25 different types of drums and lots of percussion type instruments. All the kids and adults that are forced to sit in a circle (obviously) and make a horrendous noise drum Grin Going on a Bear Hunt is one of the tunes the kids do - its a bit touchy feely, feathery strokery for me but the kids really, really enjoy it.

Reastie my pils love having Christmas dinner on their own Grin Have I got it right - you are seeing them on Christmas Day but they might be eating alone? - See to be honest I wouldn't give it a second thought - and you know me I'm a bit of a martyr to family Grin

ponyo A loves Barbie dolls and Barbie books - Barbie is one of her new favourite words - Barbie and move Hmm

Fuck me the drumming circle sound torturous.
It'sy birthday tomorrow I can't believe ill be 29. Dh is taking me shopping so there will be a row he thinks you walk into a shop pick up what you need and leave. Mad fool.
I know why d is naughty, she hates me. Calls dh mum and follows him about. When he took her to bed she scowled at me over his shoulder then snuggled into his neck. Judas!
How's a ponyo

ledkr have you had a few? You're even more incoherent than usual! Wink Grin

wiggles sounds lovely Grin actually I'd probably quite enjoy that, I go to Group Therapy remember!

reastie What do YOU want to do at Christmas? You aren't responsible for PILs, let them sort themselves out.

S is a massive dolly fan atm, she carries hers about shouting BABY, wipes its bottom with baby wipes, tries to put a nappy on it, and the other day I caught her with her finger in the Sudocrem and a guilty look- Baby was coated in the stuff!

Hi all, not been to docs yet, couldn't get an appointment today b'cos I rang up to late (bad mummy) will try again tomorrow but work is busy so it might not be til Thurs. Is that really bad? Shes not been complaining but I will still take her.

ledkr Woop birthday countdown! Shock at judas Dilly, aw hope you're not really upset?! Oh I did Grin at mn royalty, I always worry about being outed even though I only really post on this thread so would hate that!

reastie £99?!?! bloody hell. I don't think you can please everyone by the sounds of it, and my feeling is be selfish and if you want a nice cosy family xmas, go for it. That sounds like its really easy, I know its not, but sod everyone else in the nicest possible way Grin Say hi to delia from me!

wiggles I hate bloody barbie. And I had them and sindys when I was small Hmm I'm sure I can off buying them for A for a couple of years though? She does love dolls. Drumming circle sounds... interesting Nuff respect to you for putting up with that Grin Wink

God dp is clomping around putting me off my mn-ing Hmm I swear the man can't sit still unless he's on the laptop, I'm sure he's doing it on purpose to put me off Grin
We picked A up from nursery today and managed to spy on her for a minute - she was walking around with a photo of herself from the wall showing it to another little girl saying "mummy. mummy!" (there was a workers hand in the photo she thought was me, it wasn't). Cute though seeing her talking to her 'friend' :)

Will deffo take the sample in ledkr - how long do you think for results?

It is cute seeing them with friends isn't it, I sometimes feel bad as A doesn't have a lot of kiddy mates (I only have a couple of mates with kids) so I felt chuffed when I spied her with this little girl! HOpe D and alice have fun :)

deb I'm awaiting going through the diary with DM in the hopes she can take Alice here and there so I can go to the gym so once I know when she can take Alice I'll know when I'm free Grin . Will let you know

Re: christmas. Thanks for the comments. Tbh I could be fine with leaving PIL on their own for Christmas lunch Blush but DM wouldn't let them as she's all about the meal on christmas being a massive thing and would think it terrible if they were on their own and I know she wouldn't be able to not invite them.

Granny how are the windows?

ponyo don't you get the results straight away? I thought that's one of the things they were testing for when we had to do all those wee tests for mws when pg [clueless guess]

deb Grin to sudocream. Alice loves it when we put nappies on her pooh bear and makka pakka! she doesn't have a doll she'll have to wait until christmas . I love how she puts her cuddly toys to 'sleep' on her bed and they all go head and tummy down on the covers to sleep as she sleeps on her tummy so must think everyone/thing does!

ledkr 29 again eh?! Hope you get lots of lovely things and no arguments re: shopping techniques!
